Description: Umi is a quiet person. He doesn’t say much unless you are a customer. And unless you’re a customer, he hardly smiles. And the ones he often gives are fake and meaningless. He knows his parents have a lot expected of him but he doesn’t want any of that. Currently he stays out late, and come back with more money than he had before.
Personality: Quiet, can be mean, but he still has a heart. It’s just a little broken right now.

Gabriel peered into the open door of the new house that he was currently moving into. "Hello?" His voice called in an even, not loud, and not too quiet tone. The brunette moved to step into the large home and set his single bag down on the floor as he gazed around, taking in the new furniture, lighting, and carpeting in the foyer. "Is anyone here?" He called again, he held a hand to his ear and leaned into it as if trying to really listen for something. When he didn't hear anything he moved to the living room and took off his dirty, mud covered shoes. He climbed on the couch and just started bouncing on it like a little kid, waiting for someone come greet him.

Someone’s voice was interrupting his sleep. Who was calling out in the middle of the afternoon like this on his day off. Wait. Mother had said something. He was to greet someone… who was it again? It was some kid. Micah? No. Jonny? No. What was his name? Umi open his grey lifeless eyes and looked around his room for a moment. The noise had stopped. But he was sure the boy was still here. He frowned and pushed himself up to his knees and stretched a little bit. He crawled off his bed and threw a shirt on over his grey sweats to go and find the intruder and ‘welcome’ him. He stepped out of his bedroom and went to the stairs, seeing the boy sitting on the couch like a child. “So you’re him huh?” He asked, loud enough for the other to hear. His gray eyes studied the boy for a moment before coming fully down the stairs. “I’m Umi… I guess you’re new big brother…” He sounded less than pleased.

The boy kept on bouncing on the strange new mans couch, he answered in a normal voice, "If that 'him' is a Gabriel, which is my name, then yes. I am him." He looked to the man while he spoke then marveled at how his hair bounced up and down with him, staring at a certain strand as he hopped up and down on the cushions. "Hope I didn't disturb you. But I assume that you knew I was coming in the first place right?" He said again this time without looking at the man, more focusing on his flopping locks of hair in front of his aloof, cute, boyish face.

Umi stared at him as he spoke. He was like the mad hatter when he spoke. And like a kitten too interested in yawn to look at another cat. It was actually annoying. He didn’t seem to have the ability to focus on something other than himself. Umi run a hand through his hair and sighed. “Yes, mother said something about you showing up today. She’s at work. And Father’s on a business trip.” He said, looking back at the boy still bouncing. “Will you stop that?” He asked, his voice a little stern when he couldn’t handle the ADHD bouncing anymore. “I’ll show you to your room.” He said. “It’s upstairs next to mine.” He said, heading back upstairs, letting the male follow on his own.

Gabriel stopped his bouncing and his eyes focused on Umi once again. He answered with a simple nod and a blank, normal expression as he climbed off of the couch, pulled his muddy shoes off of the floor and went over to grab the small dusty bag containing his clothes and other things that he could carry in it. Gabriel followed behind Umi, lagging behind a bit to stare at some of the artwork on the walls and into other rooms that had not yet been into just yet."Do you have any pets? I used to have a dog, but he died a few weeks ago. I miss him." He started to trail off into another string of thought about his dog and then about back home, wondering if this man was anything like him, would they play games together? Would they eat or watch TV together? All of these things started to ask themselves in his mind.

Umi stopped halfway down the hall when he realized that Gabriel was so slow. “No we don’t have pets.” He said, walking again. “Sorry about your dog.” He said, sounding a bit like a recording. He stopped by a door and turned to him. “If you want a pet, talk to mom.” He said, opening the door and letting swing open. The room was bare, ready to be decorated. It had a bed and a dresser with a closet. An open window let in air and light. “This is your room.” He said, letting the boy walk into it. “Dinner is at five when mom and dad are home. No loud noises after nine.” He said, as if it was a rehearsed thing. He had yet to smile at the boy. But that was normal for him. “Any questions?” He asked.

Gabriel looked at the room, seeing the many ways he might be able to put hs things in the little nooks and crannies to make it all look homey. He set his things down and sat on the bed. "Nope. Thanks for the tour." By tour he mean walk from where they were to the room. He didn't need thing dim new older brother of his to show him around, he would just have to go exploring which was fine by him. He pulled his bag into his lap and leaned across the bed to look and see the bare room in its entirety.

Umi watched the boy walk into his room and set his things down. He was an odd one. Quite, and very care free. Like he didn’t know the world he lived in. And that annoyed Umi to no extent. The world was not a carefree place. And Umi was living it. But this boy still needed to grow up. He sighed and waved his hand. “Alright. I’ll be down stairs.” He said. It was his day off, so he was home most of the day, until tonight that was. He had a date later tonight. He went to the kitchen to start making something to eat.

"Okay." The boy replied to the man with a casual voice and a casual expression, like he was barely judging the man at all, even if he sounded annoyed and tired. Gabriel spent most of his day putting the few things that he owned, ranging from dusty old books, an old stuffed bunny, some novelty toys, a flashlight, a few pairs of clothing including two school uniforms, and an old pocket watch. He patted down the bed spread to get the dust off of it from the years of being unused, then he put his precious books and old toys in the dresser, then neatly hung his cloths in the closet. He placed the flashlight beside his bed and the old stuffed animal near his pillow. Gabriel slipped the pocket watch into his sweatshirt pocket before going over to the window and just standing there letting the breeze hit him. "What a lovely day." He said to himself in a sort of trance.

Umi made himself a grilled cheese and took it up to his room. He really didn’t know what to do with this kid. Mom said to watch over him. But he wasn’t a damn babysitter. He had a life, jobs. He sighed as he roamed the internet on his laptop, eating his grilled cheese and little absent mindedly. He roamed until he had to start getting ready for his date. His room was far from organized. Bed unmade, schools books here and there, plates left around, and the trash needed to be taken out. But he would do that later. he dressed in jeans and a button down shirt with a black vest. He styled his hair and cleaned up his appearance before getting his phone, wallet, and keys, slipping them into his pocket. He walked out of his room, shutting the door before popping his head into Gab’s room. “I’m going out.” Was all he said.

Gabriel had since moved to sit on the roof which he could easily do from the window since there were a few small outcroppings in which he could hop onto. He was enjoying the warm summers air until he heard a voice saying that his new brother was going out. "Okay, have fun." He said from the roof, his room empty at the moment and his window wide open. Gabriel usually did things like this without people getting angry or thinking it was a bad idea, so he thought even in this new house they would leave him be and see that it was fine, besides he just wanted to enjoy the air.

Umi went down stairs and slipped his shoes on before heading out of the house. He turned back to see Gab on the roof. “Don’t fall!” He yelled at him. “If you break anything I’ll kill you.” He said as he turned to leave, letting the boy do whatever he wanted as he headed to the meeting spot of his date. He would be gone most of the evening and not return until late. It was a regular thing. And his parents never noticed because they were never home. He just hoped Gabriel wouldn’t get any bright ideas, like following him one day. That would just be a headache.

Gabriel waved as the man left, he basically just sat atop the roof until it got dark and then moved to sit on his bed inside the room. He turned his flashlight on and began to read one of his four books in the dark. He always loved fairy-tales and he would read one each night to himself before he went to sleep or if there wasn't anything to do and he was all alone, which was the case now. Gabriel flipped through the book easily, being an avid reader, and there were barely any pictures in this particular tale book, it was more like tome sized with small print that would make a sane reader go crazy.
