Stealing the family Jewels

You must beat the odds and go in a steal the goods.Now don't get caught or you could lose it all....Maybe even end up in jail!

How the game works
I will RNG 30 and in your next post you will as well.
If you roll higher then me then you have passed one part.We will roll dice till the item is stolen and you have made it out safely.
If you roll a number low then mine 3 times then you fail is the last roll is 10 numbers lower then what i rolled you go to jail and must wait a day to try this quest again.

Night has fallen over the town.

Sastrugi held up her hand, signalling Mantel to stop, this was only his second mission, first for both of them with the Dark Cloaks and the stakes were high, they couldn't afford to make mistakes. From their vantage point on the rooftop they could clearly see Lady Ykantos's mannor. A high wall surrounded the grounds, through which several guards were patrolling. Sas watched their movements intently, memorising their routines before she felt confident enough to make a move. Motioning to Mantel she leapt down from the rooftop onto the wall, dashing along it's edge to before dropping lightly into the garden.

The guards didnt even notice them.They where to busy.

Just as Sas' had taught him Mantel kept to the shadows using his dark coat to advantage. Together they slipped past the guards and around to the side of the mannor. Hiding in a dark courtyard Sastrugi noticed a drain pipe leading up to an open open window. She would never fit through the gap but Mantel would have no trouble getting inside, boosting him up onto the pipe she whispered directions to him and watched him slip inside.

Mantel made it into the house with out trouble but could he make it past the guard dog?

Mantel trotted briskly down the corridor towards the back stairs. As pre planned he would open the scullery door for Sas' allowing her to get inside before going after the jewels. Dashing down the stairs Mantel almost ran straight into the large guard dog asleep in the hallway below, jumping off the last few steps he cleared the dog and landed lightly on the other side turning to see if he had awoken it with baited breath.

The dog woke and took a huge chunk out of Mantel's pants!Does he open the door with out making much more noise?

Mantel stifled a yelp as the dog bit at his leg. Getting out of the way just in time he rushed over to the pantry door locking the dog inside. Hopefully the solid wooden door would smother is barking. Rushing over to the door he let Sastrugi inside

Will the door hold?

Sas' rushed inside glaring at Mantel, "I told you to be quiet" she hissed.
"sorry m'am" he responded curtly, eyes downcast. She sighed then pushed him out of the kitchen back into the hall. Someone would be there soon to investigate the noise.

can she find the room with the goods with out tripping the alarm?

Finding the jewellery room wasn't hard and it appeared that the dog hadn't altered anyone to their presence, at least not yet. Pressing her body up against the large bolted door Sas' could feel the alarm mechanism attached to the door ticking away. She stepped back briefly to consider how best to deactivate it before noticing a very well hidden switch among the stonework surrounding the door. Holding her breath she pressed the button.
