Finals are over and winter is setting in. Time to do something to cure a bit of cabin fever? How about a d20 zombie campaign!
Info on the game arrow Game type: Hack and slash with equal amounts of strategy and roleplay arrow System edition: d20 modern, Apocalypse, with touches of Future arrow Number players: 4 is what I want, but if more want in I'll start another thread as a connecting game where the two can interact or not as they see fit. arrow Restrictions: Only!! No homebrew, no arcana, no exceptions. I will allow some future, but only if I give the okay. arrow Posting rate: every 3 days since the last post will be an update to prevent stagnation. Keep up because there will be no flashback posts. arrow Books: The above link will provide you with almost everything, but you will need the d20 Apocalypse book as well. Ask and I will provide.
arrow Character creation arrow Stats: 5d6, reroll 1's, best of 3, done 6 times. arrow HP: max arrow Starting level: 3 arrow Starting cash: roll 4d10, reroll 1's, add in Starting Occupation Wealth Bonus, multiply by 2 then +30. This will be your Trade Units to be spent. arrow Background: I don't require, but those that submit something will get something in return equal to the effort they put in. That is all. arrow Note: be a bit realistic with your character. If we are doing a urban zombie sprawl, there is no chance an 18 year old will be carrying an automatic or an SMG to school or work without the character's game ending on the spot. Just like if we do the Island Resort, don't expect guns to be easy to find unless you're military or cop.
VOTE AT THE TOP FOR WHAT SETTING THIS WILL BE!!

In-game houserules, variants, add-ons, etc.
arrow I will be using a Critical Hit/Fumble deck to modify crits. If you don't wish for special effects and want straight damage, note that in the attack post or tell me that you want pure damage. arrow Because of the setting, I would heavily advise in getting craft, survival, or treat injury, or any combination thereof. arrow I'm an experienced and forgiving DM. I rarely outright say no to something. But I will haggle. So if you want to make a homemade Wasp knife with MacGuyver-like skills, you better be ready to accept some flaws. arrow I also reward well used quotes from movies or famous people with bonuses or, stealing from Cowpies, Brownie points. Thing is, the quote must be situationally appropriate and must be in verbatim with flexibility to pronouns only. Almost anyone can use: "If Jesus had a handgun, don't you think he would've won?" in game, but it takes a flexible mind and talent to use something like this correctly: "When faced with a situation like this, you're really only left with two options: "Either you soil yourself, accept your fate and politely die, or you consciously decide to go a very specific type of insane, strip down to your briefs, grab a carpenter's hammer and stand right in the middle of that goddamn twister like a Texan Thor while screaming basic locative statements at the top of your lungs for as long as you still have them." And guess which of the two will net the better reward. Oh, one more thing. No more than 1 awesome quote per post and please highlight, italicize, bold, or otherwise indicate what you are using. There will be a list forthcoming soon as I can think of a set.
