2. You see nothing wrong with spending over five hours searching for “Doctor Who” fanfics.

3. You beg a relative to make you a Fourth Doctor Style long multi-coloured scarf, and it works.

4. You spend hours trawling through fanfiction just to save them all on your favourites... and you have at least a hundred of them. Filed meticulously under 'Fanfiction', under 'Doctor Who'. And that's just the Rose/Doctor shippy ones.

5. You begin to fantasize about the Doctor during Maths when the teacher is droning on about simultaneous equations.

6. When you're bored you fake illnesses just to hear people say; "You should really go to the Doctor’s."

7. You shut yourself in the bathroom away from the computer in order to force yourself to finish the homework due in tomorrow. Which you end up rushing and messing up anyway in order to catch more fanfictions. NOTHING will drag you away from the computer - not even sunlight or food.

8. Your mobile has a picture of a 1950's/60's blue police box as 'Home' display photo. Said number is stored under the name TARDIS. Said person is not surprised when they are greeted by a scream of delight.

9. You watch Doctor Who reruns so many times, you are able to produce pages and pages of analysis on the facial expressions of all the characters, and you also know every single word in every single episode.

10. Your 'Pictures' files are starting to look suspiciously jammed with wallpapers of the Doctor and Rose, the Doctor, Rose, Martha, Jack, The Master...... (I just counted, I have over 3000 pictures of Doctor Who related stuff)

11. You have an overwhelming feeling of sympathy for giant pepper pots that have been tortured painfully and want to kill everyone, but then become confused with feelings and ship certain relationships.

12. You have the days, hours, minutes and seconds being counted down until the next episode. Nanoseconds may or may not be included in this.

13. Words like 'Hand Porn' 'Shipper!Dalek' 'Squeeee!' and 'TARDIS' make sense and are becoming part of your everyday vocabulary- to the confusion of your unenlightened friends.

14. Nothing makes you happier than hearing the opening ‘wooooooEEEEEEEEoooooooo' music, and you sing said music absent-mindedly, much to the annoyance of everyone nearby.

15. You compulsively refresh the official Doctor Who site to see if they've updated it. You cry when they don't.

16. You secretively read fanfic or go on your Doctor Who forum in your little corner at work/school and quickly flip to another window on the computer whenever someone comes over to the printer to get something.

17. You re-arrange your whole Saturday so you can be in front of the TV at 7.

18. Someone walks past with a plunger and you can’t stop laughing.

It sometimes seems that the number of Doctor Who stories/episodes you've seen is directly proportional to how desperate you are to find more that you haven't seen but want to see. You curse your video rental place for most likely not having said stories and curse yourself for not having the money to rent them if they did have them. It sucks.

If you started trying to watch The Last Detective just because it stars Peter Davison, you might be a Fifth Doctor fan.

If you sometimes consider wearing eye shadow like Queen Galleia, though she was an ambitious woman who sort of helped bring the downfall of Atlantis, you're definitely a fan of Doctor Who.

If you see that one t-shirt online that says "the t-shirt of Rassilon" and start laughing hysterically because you get it, you're a classic Who fan.
