Once Upon A Time...

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, past the second star to the right and straight on 'til Sherwood and Nottingham, and then some, lay a system of underground passages and rooms where the Fairytale characters from all ends of the Storybook Realm could congress in peace.

An evil King is doing the best he can to take control of the Storybook Realm. The Fairytale Characters have been forced into hiding to avoid imprisonment. They've formed an underground railroad of sorts beneath the earth, that is their sanctuary, and only connection to their former homes. The heroes and villians alike must band together to defeat the tyrant plaguing their lands.

"Where do the children go, between the bright night and the darkest day? Where do the children go, and who's that deadly piper who leads them away...?"

Name: Anja Klaus
Age: Early Twenties
Gender: Female
Bio: Anja is, in reality, The Pied Piper. She sits in the background, biding her time. She has made herself a double agent, working for the evil King, spying on the fairytale creatures, and leading them away in the dead of night, back to the King for imprisonment. She is quite secretive and tends to answer questions in a round-about way.

Name: Alex Ruthskare AKA Prince Charming
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Bio: Despite the rumors and legends, Prince Charming does not embrace his royal blood as much as people think. He is charming, yes. He is a prince, yes. But he tries to keep people from knowing about it as much as possible. He just wants his own life. He carries his family's sword with him at all times, though he covered the emblem with a false covering so no one will know.

Anja sat in the branches of a tree at the edge of Sherwood Forest, playing her flute. She knew she was perfectly safe here, for the King would not harm his spy. In moments she would enter the secret domain of her... companions, only to prey on each of them. To lead them out where they were no longer safe. She smiled sadistically to herself and continued playing her flute.

Bio: A young, laid-back detective who poses as a genius, under the work of his pet wolf, Fenris, who is the real mind. His penchant for getting into trouble is only matched by his penchant for womanizing, and often Fenris must fix the mischief his acquaintance finds himself in.

Alex is riding through the forest, trying to escape his father's guards that were chasing him for leaving the palace. He turned to look around and was hit by a branch and knocked off his horse. He was now laying on the ground, unconscious.

(Great way to start off, right? Hahahaha xD)

Anja heard something hit the branch below her and stopped playing, blinking for a moment. Then she looked down and let out a small, sharp laugh. She jumped out of the tree and landed by the boy-on-the-ground's feet. "Well Charming, looks like you've showed them." She said sardonically, nodding at the gaurds in the distance. She turned to leave, then paused. "I'd shake it off and run, if I were you." She added with a smirk. Then she disappeared into the trees.

Charming wakes up, dazed. He looks down the road and, seeing the guards, jumps up and runs into the forest.

Anja peeked around the forest, searching for one of the many hidden entrances to their sanctuary. Finally, she found it. A fox-hole looking thing that was overgrown with weeds and brush. She tucked them aside and lowered herself into the tunnel, making sure to recover the hole. She then proceeded to make her way to a small stone door at the end. Pushing it open, she entered the main section of the passage, replacing the door behind her.

Lock runs out from behind a mess of trees in front of the guards and, after having one of the most deer-in-the-headlight moments in his life, crashes into them and barrels off in the opposite direction. Fenris catches up with him, standing beside him pompously. "And you wonder why I never make an effort to catch up with you," He says bluntly.

Alex ran through the forest, and hears ruffling nearby. He runs towards it. When he comes across where he heard the noise, there was nothing there. A shallow overgrown fox-hole and trees. That's it. <What did I hear...?> He thought. He continued running through the dense trees.

Anja felt her way deeper into the darkness under the earth until she came to an opening, lit with torches. here the passage split into two directions. She went left. After what seemed like forever, she came out into one of the many caverns of the sancuary, complete with bar, dart board, and lit with hanging candles. It was almost like a small tavern.

Alex ran and quickly climbed to the top of the tree. He curled up in a small ball in a fork in the branches, as he had been taught during his training at the palace.

As she seated herself at the bar, Anja couldn't help but wonder if the King's son had made it away from the guards. She guessed, if he had, he would turn up here eventually. She didn't really care much whether or not he was still alive, but she was sure they wouldn't actually kill him, and she rather needed someone to talk to.

Alex watched as the guardsmen ran under him. When he thought they would be far enough away, he climbed down. As it turns out, they stopped to have lunch a little ways away and spotted him. He started sprinting back the way he came. He dove towards the fox-hole, planning on throwing the vines over him to conceal himself. As his reached the foxhole, he continued forward, where he expected stone to be and rolled into a small cave withing the "fox-hole."
