Kyousouka I tend to avoid buying books that aren't in good condition either. But I make some exceptions for books at Bookoff, since $1~$3 is a damn good price for a book with a slightly dirty cover and maybe dented dust jacket. But if a book is torn or some of the pages are bent, I won't buy it D:
Darks: Do you buy Asuka to stay on top of specific series, or just for the pretties? o: I just checked AN's site. They claim Asuka's "list price" is $10.99 xDDD and then they sell older issues for a "reduced" price. Even at Kinokuniya, which jacks up magazine prices because they get them shipped express, Asuka is $6.60, going up to $11 on some issues of similar magazines if they come with irregularly shaped gifts and such (like figures), something Asuka does not do. Well it's not like I'm going to buy a NEW manga at full price that's beat up. I just avoid those. But 25 cents? That's like, so cheap you can't not buy it! XD
I used to collect it to keep up on Lagoon Engine, and I bought December for the DNAngel furoku. But mostly I do it for the other furoku that come with them AND because they look cool~
Meh, they used to be 9.99 but they probably moved the price up because of the dollar's declining value. (Which really sucks by the way) I don't really plan on buying them full price there unless it's an issue I absolutely MUST have.
I wish we had a Kinokuniya around here though. The only shop that's remotely Japanese here is a small Asian grocery store-- oh yeah and the AN warehouse/base. XD
chuckle490 Your Asuka magazines look awesome in your collection.
Thanks~ They're so pretty and brightly colored that they make my collection look a little more interesting. xD I've rearranged them since that picture was taken though. I need to update my pics. I think I'll do that when my order gets here.

Hence, UraBoku. KochiKame's full title is longer xP It's so long I can't even remember it (Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kouen Mae Hashutsujo, had to look that up)
So, what's the manga with the longest title that you own? And longest? My top 3: .hack//Tasogare no Udewa Densetsu Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon Kami to Sengoku Seitokai
And shortest depends on what counts as shortest (kanji spelling or romaji) and whether subtitles count as part of the title. If subtitles con't count, then Ha has the shortest (full title: Ha -LORD-). If they do, then Abara and Shiki are tied for the first place (unless we go by the Japanese spelling, in which case Shiki wins). There is also Kure-nai, which has one kanji, but full title is given with both the kanji and the romaji. I should buy Gyo. Good manga, and it would remove the short title ambiguities.

I guess we could go with what has the longest romanized/English name with the subtitles. Because even some of the longer named series I have like The Mythical Detective Loki and The Candidate for Goddess-- in their Japanese names-- can be shortened to Meitantei Loki and Megami Kousei.
That being said, some of my longer ones are: Lagoon Engine Einsatz(#3), Neon Genesis Evangelion(#2), and Ouran High School Host club(#1). So anything longer than that is...well...pretty long to me. XD
