Sonic Roleplay - The Next Adventure (OPEN!!!)

Lindsey starred at the two hedgehogs that fought off the little creatures. It was almost laughable! She looked at Sarah with an excited smile on her face.
"Sarah, what if all this, the attacks, the spiders, and even Mephiles... What if it's all just an illusion? Then we just need to do this together to get rid of it! We're only making it stronger by paying attention to it an interacting with it!" she babbled all in one breath. "What if we can get outta here?!"

The hedgehog piped up. "Yeah! I never would've thought of that! Maybe it's crazy enough it just might work!" Her eyes watched the brawling hedgehogs. "Shadow! Sonic! Don't fight them!"

Shadow meant to ignore the girl but couldn't help wondering what her motive was. So he waited for an explanation while he continued fighting the foes.

Lindsey stood to her feet and cupped her hands around her mouth.
"Don't fight them anymore! You're only making them stronger by paying attention to them! It's all an illusion!" she shouted.

Sonic stopped fighting because what Lindsey was saying actually made sense.
He grinned and gave her a thumbs up.
"Nice thinking, Linds!" he shouted to her.
More of those little winged guys were coming at them and Sonic looked over at the horde and looked one of them right in the eye as it came at him and at first, he felt the impact on him as it clung to him but he told himself, 'they aren't real' and there little claws dissipated and then they were gone. More started to come at him and he just kept his mind on that one thought...

Mephiless looked over at the brown hedgehog with pure hatred. So, she had figured it out... If there was only a way to... He held up his hand and all the little attackers stopped attacking and dissipated.
"I'm an illusion, am I?" he said in a low voice and a big ball of energy was gathering in his hand.

"Hold on you guys!" Lindsey shouted. "Don't listen to him! He's trying to trick you!!!"
She bit her lip. If they dodged out of the way of his attack, the whole thing would start over again. She crossed her fingers and prayed they had faith in the plan.

Shadow stopped as well and pretended they weren't there. Luckily, it worked. He flashed a small smile at Lindsey. When Mephiles reappeared, the hedgehog had the urge to fight him and finish him off for good. Then Lindsey reminded them that this was a trick. 'It better be.' Shadow thought. He crossed his arms and glared right at Mephiles. 'You really are a fake.' He thought with anger.

The young hedgehog stared at the sinister illusion. "Fake-ity fake, fake, fake!" She closed her eyes and thought of the beautiful forest and of things that were outside of the mansion. Things that were real.

Now Mephiles was getting really mad. Lindsey grinned.
"Keep on, lads! We've got him cornered!"
"You insolent little vixen!" Mephiles growled and he turned towards her with the large, fake ball of energy pointed towards her head. "You'll pay dearly."
She stood up, putting her hands on her hips glarring at him defiantley.
"You don't scare me, even if your face is horrific!" she remarked cockily.
Sonic laughed loudly.
"Time for a reality check!"
Mephiles shot the ball at her and she starred right at it, knowing it was fake and when it was close enough, it just whisked around her like a ball of smoke. Harmless. She snickered. When the smoke cleared, she found herself at the entrance of the mansion, door wide open to the forest outside.
Amazed, she ran forward and... Yes, it was real! She had escaped!
But what about the others? What had it looked like to them?
Back inside the illusion, Mephiles gave a humorless laugh and he turned to the other girl.
"Will you join her?" he asked, tilting his head, trying to scare her into fighting back.
With that vixen out of the way she would not be able to tell these fools the truth of where she was and her transportation from the illusion looked like she had been blown to bits! He laughed again as he gathered more energy into his hand, this time pointed at the black female hedgehog.

Sarah gasped at Lindsey's disappearing Houdini but trusted her cousin was all right. She just had to keep in mind that this was all for not no matter how real it seemed. "Wow. You really suck, you know that!" When Mephiles gathered the ball of bahookie, Sarah turned around and shook her tail at him. "Come on! Take your best shot!" She started to do the chicken dance and hummed the song.
Fury took place on Mephiles face and he unleashed the big orb at her. "I'll send you to oblivion!"
The hedgehog ended her little dance with one of her infamous hand farts. The ball dissipated and she found herself in the doorway to freedom. "OH YEAH! Uh-huh! Uh-huh! Uh-huh-uh-huh-uh-huh!" She spotted Lindsey and super glomped her. "Lindsey! You did it!" She gave her a smacking kiss on the cheek and squeezed her. "Now we just have to wait for Heather and everybody else.

Shadow, on the other hand, didn't do anything out of his way. He just stood there and gave a yawn to Mephiles taunts'. He ignored the annoying thing and it eventually started to go transparent.
Mephiles knew it was too late for him but kept trying to keep their attention. "Fools! You will all die in the end!"
The hog patted his quills coolly. "It's a little too quiet in here."

Mephiless knew that he had lost. He cursed those females hedgehogs.
"Don't be so sure of yourself." he growled. "I may be an illusion..."
Everything went wavy and Mephiless dissapeared.
"But next time, you won't be so lucky!"
And there was a flash of bright light and the remaining hedgehogs were transported outside the castle.
Lindsey hugged Sarah back in a back cracking hug.
"I'm so glad you made it! But what about the others?" she asked, sounding worried but then there was a small wave in the air and Sonic, Shadow and Heather and everyone else who had been trapped came out to freedom. "You guys! You're alright! We escaped!" she clenched her fist and punched the air. "Yes! That was a sinch!"
Sonic laughed.
"I'm glad to be outta there!"
"Definteley." Lindsey nodded.
