Gil chuckled "Well I'm not being paid to do this so technically it's not work though I wonder what physical challenge you have for me" he said patting Enkidu "Well I'll probably need to take a break and do some work after this break, hopefully Alpha will drop me off in the right country for it" he said.

Oassu smirked thinking the little sign was delightfully informal before bowing politely "It's a pleasure to be back your majesty, sorry if we didn't give you enough notice, how have you been?" he asked getting up.

Zadina frowned "Aww now you've made me think that's what's happened, makes me sad to think that though I hope we don't have to fight Sophia when she grows up, that would be even sadder" he sighed

Hebal frowned shaking her head rapidly "No no no don't think like that, Sophia is way too happy to have been separated from a parent, I'm like the expert on knowing stuff like that and what I meant was that Sophia might want to fight by our sides not fight against us silly" she assured them

Amane smiled finally finishing her drink "Yeah well thats nice to hear that and so long as the fiends are happy and not being made sick they should go wherever and live with whoever they like such as Mari who I bet is treating them well"

Satoshi smirked shaking her head "Not sure you will want to find out, theres a lot of work that could be done around here. Like diving and mining or chopping wood or helping people in setting up there stalls for the dragon festival, or just being a punch bag for the trainee ninjas. The latter might not seem that bad but the pain eventually piles up, especially if they get their jutsu wrong.

Elorin bowed back ignoring the snicker from Oassu "I've been ok mostly and the city is slowly getting back up on its feet. Theres a lot of pressure to get the recovery to speed up and then my wife isn't always in the best of moods these days but like I said apart from that everything is fine. How about yourselves and is Zadina with you? And have a good time in Kunec?"

Felina nodded accepting the hug from her father "Zadina's gone to the circus for the holidays but don't worry as he is in very good hands and Hebal is used to children having one of a similar age and all. But yeah Kunec was quite nice and was a pleasent surprise to see Elithana was there"

Gil chuckled "Well those are simple things thought you would have a special challenge for me though what idiot would volunteer for that last job? Can't you use actual punching bags or like trees or something?" he asked thinking it was a ridiculous job.

Oassu nodded "Yeah in fact I think they went to pick up her daughter first, who I think Zadina is infatuated with for the festival" he said with a smile "Though yeah Kunec was nice, had some really weird architecture but it was too cold up there for my liking" he said.

Zadina nodded happily "Yeah..." he paused yawning before sipping his hot chocolate "Besides I think someone said Sophia would just have been eaten if she left on her own where we found her and Mari does get on well with her" he said happily.

Hebal yawned giving a nod "Yeah tonberries aren't exactly the most popular of creatures even if someone woldn't want to eat them but be happy as we have been doing an awesome job keeping them looked after. It's gonna be funny seeing her meet Merric since they are similar in size" she giggled.

Amane also yawned but laughed "Hey this yawning thing is pretty infectious at times though maybe once Merric has grown a little bit Sophia will be able to ride on his back all over the place until one day you'll be the one riding" he suggested thinking it was quite a cute image.

Satoshi laughed rubbing her hands together "Would you rather I gave you a task such as going into the forest of no return on a little scavenger hunt? And someone has to do the job as not all jutsu and abilities can be performed on objects. Take Hitomi's for example, illusion based abilities can only work on something with eyes and theres only so much medical practice that Takeo can perform on fish"

Elorin nodded his head "Yep that sounds like Kunec all right but I quite like the rchitecture. That said I've not been there for quite a while, why not since I went on my pilgrimage and they didn't even have esculators back then. As for Zadina, well I didn't even think he was into girls yet. I guess he's growing up fast, anyway can I get you anything? Food or drink perhaps?" he offered.

"No thanks dad though if you know where mum and Corella are then a bit later we'll go say hi to them" Felina answered finally being released from her fathers embrace. "Zadina is growing fast both physically and in confidence or at least fast by elf standards that is and turning into a right elven explorer"

Gil grunted "Well I dunno, there's ethics to warfare and stuff normally that prevents stuff like that but sure I can see your point so long as they normally use punchbags and stuff where necessary" he said thinking the job sounded horribly unfair.

Oassu nodded "Yeah he's still an upstanding little gentleman all the time too so he's done very well...it's a shame he can't find his brother, would certainly ease some of the troubles in his life since in a little while he'll become the head of his household if he remains missing" he said.

Zadina giggled "I suppose it is a bit contagious though I think Merric might be a little scared of Sophia when they first meet, most animals and fiends tend to be unnerved by tonberries but where is little Merric right now anyway?" he asked a little anxious since he couldn't see him.

Hebal giggled pointing to the kitchen sink containing a splashing about Merric "he tried to dive into my paint so I gave him something better to swim in that won't turn him into a red chocobo" she explained gently moving the helmet to one side and pulling out a set of boots from under the table to work on.

Amane let out a small aww watching the chicobo for a moment "Hehe he's gonna make the kitchen all wet too but in time they would get used to eachother like how cats and mice can be brought up to live together in harmony so don't be pessimistic about it" she shrugged debating whether or not to go over to the sink.

Satoshi shrugged "Sure they do unless someone is that desperate for money, being a punch bag is a very highly paid jon afterall for that reason of it being unpleasent most times. Though ninja communities don't have any ethics codes to go by so anything goes"

"Well fortunately theres still a while to go before Kurgan is classified from missing to dead. Elves aren't assumed to be dead until they have been missing 10 years so theres still hope and people will keep looking in that time for any new leads" Elorin assured him with a sigh "I may not have especially liked my sister in law but one thing she did do right was teaching her kids some decent manners"

Felina nodded her head "Uhuh but I'm glad she wasn't my mum, made mine look like the most relaxed parent in all existence she was that strict" she remaked laughing as Cid hopped up into Elorins arms "Well he's happy yo see you at least. Must be because of all the food you gave him last time"

Gil shook his head "Well shame they don't have such a thing as an ethical code, should be some standards when it comes to things like that but nevermind, your training methods are clearly effective so I won't question them" he said smiling as he kissed Satoshi's head.

Oassu nodded "Yeah I'm surprised Zadina isn't missing his father that much, not heard much about him" he said scratching his chin but smiling as Cid hopped into his arm "Cid is a wise little bunny that's for sure, need to get him a nice little present" he said.

Zadina nodded hopping up with the blanket over his shoulders before going over to the sink "Of course he's a blue chocobo so he loves splashing about in water and things" he said smiling as he petted Merric gently in his bath "Though yeah I'm sure he'll get on with Sophia once he's used to her, Ivy hardly showed any fear that I can remember to Sophia" he said

Amane burst out laughing seeing Merric spurt out water at Zadina from his mouth upon arrival "Hehe don't be offended, he's just playing with you when he does that" she assured him giving the pet a small splash back "Ivy is a sprite though, they are full of all kinds of tricks that would probably keep her safe from Sophia even if she was mean.

Satoshi smiled resisting the urge to stop for a snack "Yeah whatever gets the job done should be used and sometimes theres nothing wrong with a little tough love in training. Speaking of training, before you leave how about letting Zadina have another lesson from his favourite action hero" she suggested returning the kiss.

Elorin paused reluctant to discuss his family issues "Zadina's father is... a touch subject that is very rarely spoken of and for many a reason to anyone so please don't take offence should anyone including myself refuse to provide you with any information on the man" he sadly warned "Anyway, how about I take you to see your mother. She could do with something to up her mood right now" he changed the subject giving Cid's ears a good scratch.

Felina nodded shuffling closer to Oassu "A lot has happened with my aunt and uncle creating pleanty unwelcome memories so would be a good idea to avoid mentioning Zadina's parents" she whispered before turning and taking Cid back "So long as mum isn't too moody then sure, I don't want her trying to rip Oassu to shreads on sight" she joked.

Gil nodded "Sounds like a plan I suppose, hopefully he'll be able to properly use a sword though I think he simply needs a better fitness regime to improve his strength, maybe Hebal or Alpha could help him with that while I'm gone, would speed his progress up a bit" he said.

Oassu frowned nodding quietly to Felina "Alright if you say so..." he said more curious now about Zadina's family "Still yes lets go see your mother so long as she's ok with me" he said scratching the back of his head gently "I know she wasn't too keen on me last time" he muttered.

Zadina smiled wiping his face with the blanket "I'm sure he's just playing the cute little birdy" he said petting Merric again "So long as he's having fun though would you like to see the rest of the airship now?" he asked Amane.

Amane paused going back for her own blanket "Sure, lead the way Zadina and show me all the stuff there is on the airship including any secret places" she told him skipping around and wrapping herself from head to toe "He didn't get you too wet when he did that did he by the way?" she giggled giving the chicobo a wave.

Satoshi paused snickering at the fought of Zadina working on fitness "He's too busy studying his magic to focus properly on all the physical training needed for sword play though I suppose he has time on his side being an elf and all. Alpha would be the better choice if he were to improve strength, Hebal for exercise though I hear that Seph does a lot of fitness stuff. Makes sense considering how little weight she gains despite all she eats"

Felina shook her head "Nope she wasn't but its the season of niceness so maybe you'll have a better encounter and the shock will have gone away for now meaning she may have at least accepted it" she suggested hoping her mother wouldn't be too mean.

Elorin laughed leading them behind the throne room back to where he had just been "Well she's not going to get any keener on you unless you spend more time with her and maybe put on the charm a little. In the meantime just feel lucky your going in this area of the palace since these are my private rooms"
