So I didn't find out about it until just now, but Chester Bennington
(lead singer/songwriter for Linkin Park, also fronted Stone Temple Pilots)
committed suicide by hanging himself on July 20th... :C

I feel like it goes without saying but I'll say it anyway:

I've never been so upset to hear somebody I've never met has passed.

I'll never be able to truly quantify how much Linkin Park has done for me even though they've sort of become some weird internet joke. They did a lot of cool stuff and really helped me realize as a confused teenager that I wasn't alone with all of these ******** up shitty feelings I had. I didn't really know it at the time but re-listening to all of their work this last week or so has made it pretty obvious.

Anywho. Thank you for the post.
