Earnhardt Jr Announces Plans to Retire

crying crying crying I'm sure you have all heard or seen the news today. Can't believe Dale Jr is retiring after this season. I really hoped he would have gone on longer, at least another year or two...

I'm kinda shocked by this. I was talking to my dad this past weekend and we speculated that Dale would retire either this year or next year. But to have it official just blew me away.

I think that concussion shook him up quite a bit, both on the track and off. Either way, I'm going to miss him out there, but I certainly understand.

NASCAR is becoming less and less a grizzly old veteran's series.
