Any additional notes or questions go here!: Keyite knows his lt "weapon" is utterly useless, so getting the call it's likely he'd stop off to get a proper weapon (either his recurve or compound bow + arrows and hip quiver) -- Would this be permissible for your event, and if yes would that equate an additional bonus to his ATK stat? Also, would you want me to keept a tally of ammo stocked/spent - his hip quiver holds 12-14 arrows, the compound bow has an additional 3 mounted to the bow itself.
It's cool if no, just wanted to check!

Syrie Keyite knows his lt "weapon" is utterly useless, so getting the call it's likely he'd stop off to get a proper weapon (either his recurve or compound bow + arrows and hip quiver) -- Would this be permissible for your event, and if yes would that equate an additional bonus to his ATK stat? Hey, Keyite. Don't knock that weapon. Negaverse went through a lotta garage sales to find that particular one.
Real compound bows have variable range and penetration depending on draw weight, arrow type (i assume carbon fiber shafts with broadheads) and miscellaneous weather BS. They travel significantly farther than approved weapons for the Negaverse and can, fairly easily, kill people. While totally cool, I love bows, I think a lot of people might find this unfair.
That, and, well, it's not going to fit the damage modifiers I have. The range also gets hairy since a compound bow can easily shoot 100', and that's going to mess with map segmentation.
He's free to pick up an alternative weapon, like a baseball bat or a knife or whatever else he finds lying around. These weapons are nonmagical, however, and don't receive bonuses. Lt weapons look dumb, and while they're not 'real' weapons, they're what provides the active +1 bonus to Keyite's attack. So, if he used a knife or something else, he'd actually lose that +1 bonus.
I KNOW IT SOUNDS WEIRD, but I am going off of something I read a long time ago that stuck with me about Lt weapons. It was basically "while they look stupid, they make a surprising difference as opposed to hand-to-hand combat or otherwise". |
