Walking through the gardens Ciara was looking at the health of some plants. She had clipped as many as she could that were useful to the healers under. For most of the week she had been charged with overseeing the injured. Brawnwen had been a blessing with her natural talents and knowledge. They both held magic to heal but also understood tonics and how to use them together. Many people had been saved from the brink of the far shore yet it still haunted her those she had been able to save. Out of most of the 'higher ups' she had fed the most. They had been running around running on fumes but not she. Ciara knew how much energy she would be expending and had her assistants make sure she fed regularly. Otherwise she would have been just like the others. Documenting the health of the plants and when she thought they could be pruned again for use she sighed, moving the hair out of her face.
Her eyes shifted around those who were in the gardens. Some helping, others passing through, but a small huddle of girls talking amongst themselves. Narrowing her vision on them hearing whom they were talking of-no, whom they gossiped about. Lyssa. Daughter of Ulrik and Jesseryies. Snorting, she handed her papers to one assistant then walked over to them irate. Her normally soft eyes were slits, blue and green sparks tickled her finger tips.
"If you girls have time to let ye tongues loll about as lazy dogs then certainly there is some work to be done. In fact, you lasses can help with my work. Follow them back to the healers. You can each carry those baskets of herbs for the potions Lady Brawnwen has been making. Oh. One more thing. I hear ye voices once more speak ill of her I'll be certain to let Ulrik know what you think of his daughter. Keep your ill omens to yourself."
Offended as they may be she didn't care. Anyone she heard speaking ill of Lyssa she was quick to n** in the butt. If she could have Shibhann as a mother and be loved then Lyssa can have Jesseryies. There was no difference there. Looking up to the balcony the starlit hair shined from Ciara smiled fondly. The woman was truly beautiful to gaze upon. Lifting her arm she waved. Since she was no longer going to be carrying the baskets back, she gave instructions of what to start next to an assistant. Everyone needed a break once in a while. Heading to the stairs she felt silly. Lyssa had been the first woman she could think of that she could say she had a crush on. Although no one knew. As far as she knew no one knew that is.Rounding the corner to the balcony entrance she saw an man bowing before Lyssa. Part of her wanted to just walk away as to not intrude but it was too late. She'd been spotted. Walking into their company she smiled shyly blushing lightly.
"Lady Lyssa. Sir...? I'm sorry, I don't know your name."

The gossip followed her around every corner, but Lyssa didn't quite care. People would talk, they may fear her more, so long as they did not let pity curdle their thoughts- Lyssa didn't quite care. Pity. What a useless emotion. Life was not fair, there was no use denying that sad fact. So what if Lyssa's childhood was filled with horrors these simple minded people could not begin to comprehend. She was powerful now. She was determined. And Goddess damned, she survived it. The world could throw more terror towards her, and she would bare her fangs like the cunning little wolf she was. Let the sheep tremble in fear at the name of her mother. Wolves weren't born - they rose from the despairing carcasses of their sheep pasts with a thrill for survival. ******** their pity.
A shy voice behind her brought her attention towards something far more important than considering the thoughts of ignorant simpletons. There was something sultry about her. Maybe it was the full lips. Lyssa liked her full lips.
"Hello Ciara darling." she flashed her a rare, and true smile. Indeed this was a wonderful surprise. "I would normally invite you to refer to me as Lyssa, but I must admit I'm fond of being called Lady." Her eyes glimmered with mischief. It was strange, Ciara had been a fire cracker not so long before. Now she seemed to be adrift. "I assume you resented the family reunion as much as I."
