The Story of The Alliance

For millennia the Fae and humans have fought against each other. Only a wall separates their lands but both human and fae alike have crossed that wall only to fight, or in the fae's case, to eat. The humans and fae are tired of this constant back and forth fight, leaving their homes in ruins and their families destroyed. Humans have a much shorter life span than the fae and most of the High Fae find them like small insects to be squashed, but some sympathise with them.

That's when the idea of the alliance came about. A few fae came together and crossed the wall into human territory to talk to the humans. These fae didn't harm any humans, they were but emissaries to talk to the human's lords, but the humans feared that they would harm their lords and it was just all a trick. However the lords of the land came to the wall, to where the faeries came, and met with them to forge an alliance between the two races. Neither may cross the wall into the other's lands and neither would fight any longer with the other. With that the fae crossed the wall back into their own lands and closed it off with as much strength as they could muster, making it impossible for either human or fae to cross it. This wall wasn't made of brick or stone of the humans, but the magic of the fae. To humans that come up to it they'll face a wall of air, an invisible wall that they can feel but can't see. The fae, however, see it as a shimmering blue bubble.

Many years later, however, the wall has started to have holes. They were tiny, at first, just small enough for a squirrel or a mouse to get through. But, for some reason, the holes are getting bigger and some fear the worst..

Will the alliance they made so many years ago hold? Or will the fighting begin once more?

Humans are short lived creatures, living for the now rather than for the future. Their lives are used up with others: marrying and creating children without any regard what might happen to them later on. The world they live in is harsh, barren, and is surrounded by forest. However they have been able to make a life for themselves as technology evolves.

The immortal faeries have watched these lands for many, many years. They come in all shapes, sizes, and have a range of abilities depending on their kingdom that they reside in. The fae are divided up into different courts that often butt heads when it comes to territory but especially when it comes to humans. They often see them as a nuisance, but a few see the future that humans could create and want to keep them safe.

Name: Feyra (Pronounced fae-ruh)
Age: 125
Gender: Female
Abilities: Has a rose tattoo on her upper left arm which is able to come forth from her skin. The rose petals have the ability to heal those they touch, but the thorns harm those that try to harm her. They don't hurt Feyra unless she loses control, which rarely happens but can when she's lost herself to her emotions. They're strong enough to propel her across the ground and cut through steel. She also has super strength and is able to wield swords and knives alike, but she can also fight with her fists.
Personality: Feyra is strong minded, strong willed and curious about the things she doesn't know but she's also headstrong. She can lose her temper easily enough but is able to stop herself when she knows she's gone too far.
History: Feyra is still young in faerie standards and is a low, common fae so has no sway in the courts that she lives in, but she grew up with a loving mother that cared for her. Her father had died many years ago, back when they had fought the humans, but she still kept a place in her heart for her father. When it comes to humans she doesn't see them as a nuisance but rather as something new and interesting. She wants to learn their lands, explore, and see what they have done over the years since the alliance was made.

Personality: Flighty, curious, and kind-hearted. She is likely to take an interest in those who are kind to a fault or cruel as can be, directing her attention to them in the forms of small gifts for the kind or harsh pranks for the cruel. She is just as likely to change the target of her attention on a whim
History: Born into the summer court, Liliana has always had an affinity for living things, often surrounding herself with and taking care of various animals, but her favorite animal had been the humans. They enthused her, challenged her, and thought they were smarter than her. She loved to play with them. Those who were cruel soon found her cruelty, those who were kind soon found her kindness, those who thought themselves big found themselves feeling small and the small found themselves feeling big. That all changed when the alliance was proposed. The wall was strengthened, and finding herself unable to pass through she spent her time caring for animals in her realm, but it was not the same. She has spent this time in longing, wishing that her favorite pets were still able to be played with

The Lands and The Courts

The Human Lands:

The human lands are made up of a couple of towns, made of brick and wood, and stand tall against the trees that surround them. These towns are quite small in number but are growing. A city is in the centre of their lands, where a king and queen don't rule but seven separate lords of the land. These lords rule alongside their wives and children, wanting to keep the peace with the fae as many don't want to see the gruesome creatures their forefathers would often speak about with fear in their eyes. They know they can't out right beat the fae, and so they wish for peace and that the fae honour the alliance. However, there are a few humans that want revenge against what the fae did to their families all those years ago. Some families were eaten alive by those that crave flesh; others were taken off to be their slaves. These few humans see the holes as an opportunity to sneak in and kill the fae before they kill the humans.

The Faerie Courts:

Unlike what most humans think or say about the fae, they don't all have wings and live in trees or rivers. Most, especially the common fae, live in buildings much like humans except they do their best not to damage the nature around them. They try their best to live alongside nature. For example if a tree is in the way of building a home then they'll build around the tree with the tree sticking through the middle of the building; it's as simple as that. The courts consist of the Spring Court, the Summer Court, the Fall Court and the Winter Court. Each court has their own High Fae to govern them and each is named after the season that resides there. These High Fae live in grand castles and mountains, making a spectacle of themselves to show how much higher they truly are compared to the common fae.
