Nothing would stand in Onyxia's way this time. The path to the resort's Hotel was clear, and if there was anything likely to get her off this island on this path, it would be there...

Onyxia sighed at the clear path. She ran down it, Little Ordo keeping pace with her. "A boat or anything to start a fire and signal." Ordo gave her a simple nod as he grabbed twigs and such. Onyxia on the other hand was looking for a boat. "Have to be one."
Onyxia wasn't likely to find a boat so far from the shore. Being that this was meant as a pleasure resort, the Hotel proper acted as the dead center of the area, allowing one to see for miles. Still, being this was one of the only buildings that had been largely competed, there was bound to be some sort of supplies or way to contact the outside world....assuming it was still functional.
Entering into the hotel lobby, Onyxia would find herself with a rather grand sight. Floors which glimmered cream and gold, polished to a mirror sheen. Great columns of dark wood, and furniture carved from rich mahogany. It was clear at a glance they'd spared no expense on this place...too bad there was no one to appreciate it.
The lights would suddenly flicker then, electricity dancing from the bulbs and fixtures as the wattage rose. The sharp clomp of hooves against tile began to echo, mingling with the sharp reverberating cry of a Pokemon and sparking electricity.
Wooden shrapnel suddenly blasted the area by the front desk, a teal and yellow blurr flipping artfully over a sofa off to the left. When the sawdust settled, Onyxia would find herself with the greatest challenge she had encountered this day....a Pokemon straight out of Legend itself....Cobalion.
This was why the Academy had abandoned this place....why even now they chose to simply retrieve personnel than try and reclaim it. Onyxia was faced with a warrior that had stared down hundreds in combat, rising the victor each time....and now that Pokemon's steely glare was leveled upon her.
The situation was clear. Parley was impossible. This Pokemon and his fellows had sought out to remove every trace of humanity from this island. That left the girl with two options. Flee and hope to find a way off the island elsewhere....though she risked encountering like minded Pokemon to this one...or worse his allies....or....or....she could face this Legend which blocked her path. Face him, and proceed further into the hotel.
Like all things this day however....the decision was her's. This Pokemon was know for it's honor, it likely wouldn't attack a foe who retreated.
Onyxia gave another sigh. "I just want to get off this ******** place. The island is yours I don't care. I want off." She was tired, frustrated, and towards the end of her rope. "******** IT I DON'T CARE!" She turned on her heels and began to walk off. "Damn Spinda..." Ordo looked to Cobalion. < We just want to leave mighty Cobalion. Can you aid us in anyway? We just want to go home. > Onyxia turned to Ordo. "Ordo, we can't win against Cobalion. He'd crush us no time flat." She waved for Ordo to come. < Please, show us mercy. >

Sparks would ripple over Coballion's body before it shot forward, artfully flipping over the pair. Once more the Pokemon would be standing before them, leveling a steely glare. ">Mercy? Like the humans showed our land and it's Pokemon?<" The Pokemon's voice was cold and sharp like a sword ">If you think these despicable creatures are worthy of mercy, than prove it! Fight me and show me the human's worth to you!<" Coballion declared, issuing a clear challenge to the Litleo.
Onyxia sighed and was in how nimble Cobalion was. Ordo on the other hand moved to defend Onyxia. Standing between her and the Legendary with a grudge. "Ordo if we are going to stand a chance... we might need that Oran berry." Kneeling down behind her friend and pulling out the berry. "Okay Ordo... we have type advantage but he looks Faster. So we need to carefully plan our attacks." Just as the powwow broke little Arla jumped out of her ball, giving the Cobalion a wink and sassy look. Onyxia let out a laugh and sigh as her new friend kissed the top of her head. "Thanks Arla." Ordo looked up to Cobalion;
Curie returned to Tiye's side. This entire thing was quite interesting, she didn't understand what was really going on here and neither it would see did Curie.
The battle that broke out had stopped him from gaining a lot of information, and the idea that it had gone badly for the attacker actually surprised her a bit.
"Let's just stick close to our candidate and keep an eye on the other three."
The Cobalion gave a rough snort, his breath strong enough to kick up a little sawdust from their surroundings. Either the place had not been properly cleaned, or more than a few of the furnishings somewhere had been destroyed recently. His eyes, fierce as any iron blade, leveled upon the Litleo, the Legendary Pokemon would take one step forward ">Never question my Honor youngling. You deal with the disgraceful knaves, not I<" There was an edge to the Pokemon's voice, but it was an assent to the berry clear enough.
Rather than simply waiting of course, the Cobalion would take a 'ready stance'. There would be no handing over of a first blow of course. Once a duel began, speed was key; and as he had already proven, despite a body hard as steel, the Cobalion was quite nimble upon his feet.
Once again Tiye would do nothing, and receive nothing for her part in things.
A yelp would come from within the crowd of Numel containing the Kingslayer. Gripping a tail in his mouth, the Numel would shift his weight, swinging a black Rattata and slamming it against the ground. Standing upon the creature in triumph, the Kingslayer's fellow Numel would whip up applause. It would seem his competition wasn't the only one capable of charming the masses. As the Kingslayer took something off the Rattata and looped it around his neck however, he seemed stronger. This wasn't merely about impressing the masses, but a feat of physical growth.
Though he rode to the rescue, the Prestigious Numel would go down in a cloud of feathers and flashing claws. It would seem the bane had proven too much for his martial skills. Like the corrupted Numel before, a group of other Numel would drag him back to a 'starting point'of sorts. When he rose again however, there was something wild in his gaze.....something dark. It would seem losing to the Banes came at a price....he'd been tainted.
The rotten Numel too went down in a cloud of feathers and the flash of the Bane's talons, but as she went down there was a made smile upon his face. dragged away as she had been before, she rose with a groan. Wildness in her eyes turned to true madness, the darkness at the edge of her eyes spreading to more heavily resemble the kings. Already tainted, her corruption had grown...
Following a much purer path, the blue humped Numel would reach the stone circle in time and collect her prize. She had two such stones now, but her search was far from over.
Just as suddenly as the 'night' had washed over the land, it faded to the light of the sun once again. A new dawn broke upon this contest, though it was impossible to tell if this was truly dawn or simply a 'mirage' of sorts.
With a loud bark two of the King's guard would race from his side, the third remaining to guard their liege. Swooping in as defenders of the land, the pair of them would descend upon the closest of the three banes to them. Barking loudly, their teeth would tear into the birds, ridding them from this world in a puff of black haze.
The meowth still pulling him about, the Kingslayer would descend into another burrow. Perhaps searching out another prize to add to his arsenal, or maybe there were companions to be found in the blackened depths?
The Prestigious Numel would meander about at first, as if lost, but as he raised his head a determination would fill his eyes. He hunted not for prestige among his fellows however, but like the rotten female Numel, would charge for one of his fellows. As it would happen the Blue Numel proved a near target. She surely didn't seem the one with the most martial prowess.
Setting out once more, the Rotten Numel would square her shoulders and charge once more for the Bane nearest her. It would seem the guards had missed that one. This time when she faced it however things seemed different; one could almost imagine a black haze surrounding them of different sizes, trying to edge the other out for corrupt power.
Still continuing on her odd quest, the Blue Numel would delve into a burrow like the Kingslayer. Likely hoping to discover another stone hidden within. How would she deal with the Prestigious Numel's assault was anyone';s guess.

CORRUPTION
Something comes out of the ground beneath your feet, a pool of darkness that climbs swiftly up your legs to curl around your arms and pin them to your side. Without a second thought, it would swiftly pull you into the ground ... and deep into the pool of darkness itself.
If your pokemon did not run after you, if it was out and about, a tentacle of darkness would whip back out to grab your pokemon and pull it down into the darkness after you.
(Make one final post here, and then the next in the Corruption area when it opens up)

- Battle Information - Battle ended due to anomaly!
Focused on the battle against the roggenrola, Aria did not notice the inky substance until it was far too late. "Wha-" A moment of confusion as she felt the tendrils of darkness bind her, and then a piercing shriek that was suddenly cut off as she was pulled into oblivion.
Isolde's eyes widened as the girl that was supposed to be her trainer suddenly disappeared. For a moment, the icy sandshrew was frozen with shock, but she suddenly decided discretion was the better part of valor and tried to flee the scene. Before she could get more than one bound away, though, she, too, was ensnared by the darkness and pulled into the depths of whatever void had opened up.
A strong wind blew, filling the prints of the girl and her pokemon with snow. When the breeze ended, it was as if the duo had never been there to begin with.

(Next Post, Corruption) The entire situation was starting to look as if she wasn't needed at all. Her chosen participate seemed to have the best luck, or maybe, she was enough of a ditz that the other participates were completely leaving her alone. Which meant for the most part, her and Curie was simply doing a lot of something that added to a bunch of nothing.
That is not to say that things weren't interesting ...afterall ...one pokemon seemed to have become infected with the same disease that was effecting the kid and the others ...well blood had been shed.
Tiye could only cross her arms and smile.
It wasn't like this sort of thing was strange. There tend to be a lot of blood when there was a new heir brought into power, especially when it isn't clear who that new heir is.
Thus, Tiye wasn't surprise by the way things were going at all. At least, she wasn't surprised until something suddenly grabbed her as she gave a loud screech of alarm.
"What the? Release my royal personage."
The girl commanded, but it didn't stop as it curled up her legs and around her arms as it dragged her backwards into what seemed to be an even larger puddle of the stuff.
"Curie, help."
Tiye begs her pokemon, but it was in this moment that Curie saw a way out for herself. A painless, bloodless on her paws, way out. She simply sat and wagged her tail as Tiye would disappear into the darkness.
All's well that end's well.
Curie would declare to herself as she turns to walk away and then suddenly ...she felt something pull both of her back legs out from under her. Looking back, she saw that same black darkness, and as she dug her paws into the earth, it did nothing to stop her being pulled backwards.
Scoring the earth deeply with her paws, Curie would disappear after her trainer into the black puddle as the Numel looked on and then continued where they left off.
