She rolled her eyes at him and squirmed out of his grip. "It is like Eli says. We do not need to be afraid. Keegan is of no harm to us. One can only wonder what he is here for....," she asked.----- -----Eli shook his head at the boy's outburst. Really? If this reaper wanted them dead, they would be so by now. There was no reason to be fearful. "Do not mind the boy. He is easily scared. I am Eli, a Priest at the Temple of History," he reasoned to the reaper. Keegan. He gave a slight bow and looked to the others to follow the same move. ----------Keegan smiled as at least two of the three-man party did not seem alarmed by his presence. When asked why he was here, he couldn't help but smile. Clever girl. "Feldir himself has sent me to find you. Any who wish to prevent Kamawanaiyo from reentering the world are allies of the God of Sickness and Death. Her rule centuries ago threatened his rule over the land. Her rule threatened all the gods," he began, "and dark magic cannot harm the already dead. You need me."

Sevira slowed Olrun down and turned her head behind her. Something in her gut worried her, causing her to doubt leaving the others. The gypsy boy would certainly not remain with them, he was too much of a nuisance, but the others were assets to the team as a whole. The mage, promising in his talent, was now without a teacher. The gypsy girl was an empath and held psychic prowess. The fawn was a priest and would no doubt have talents to be revealed. Would they be safe without someone of a knightly nature to guide and protect them?
"What is it?" Wilhelm asked.
Sevira wanted to shrug off the feeling, but it remained like a lump in her throat. One she could not simply swallow past. She let out a long, exasperated sigh and considered her options. The mission at hand was far more important, but she needed all the help she could get. Back tracking with Teivel and the other creature still around was not a safe option in her mind. Even Wilhelm would urge her to move forward. They had no time to go back, only forward. The others knew where the meeting point was and the time-frame there was to work with. If they didn't make it in time, or at all, they would be left behind. Or left for dead.
"Nothing, we press on. We must move quickly if we wish to make it before dark," she stated.

It was around midnight that the group had arrived, Wilhelm making the decision to spend the night at a local Inn to recover their strength for the next journey. He was exhausted after engaging with an Illithid and a Parasitic Demon in one day, so Sevira allowed him and anyone who was too tired to rest. She remained in the bar, drinking ale slowly as thoughts consumed her mind. Sudden talking brought her out of her thoughts and she saw Jesha, Jaelle, Eli, and a new companion making their way into the Inn. There was something about this new stranger that got her attention. "Who is this?" she said to Eli, the leader of the rag-tag bunch of heroes.
Deep in her bones, she could feel something stir, almost as if forces were moving both towards her and away. A slight shiver ran down her spine, but she kept her composure. Surely Amira, sitting in the corner, would know about what she sensed and allow a more detailed explanation. She trusted the Elven Princess much more than the other's did. Her skill with a weapon was nothing to be impressed with, but she wasn't a hindrance like Wilhelm once thought at the start of their journey in Maeven.

Amira had stayed downstairs while most of the others had gone to rest in the bedrooms upstairs. She was pulled to a state of alertness by the sensation of many auras moving around them. One aura in particular felt cold, but oddly familiar to her. She couldn't determine why she felt the way she did, but what she did know was that the darker forces moved away from them. Sevira would certainly want to know. As she walked over to speak her mind to the woman who brought her along and saved her life three times in one day, she noticed the stranger and it was as if the Silphs whispered his identity into her ear. "He's a Dullahan, send to aid those against the great evil I'd say," she said in a graceful manner.
She watched Sevira raise a brow but said nothing afterwards. It was the man's place to correct her or to confirm her assumption. She hoped she was the one correct, as fighting against a Dullahan was a death-wish. As servants of Feldir, God of Sickness and Death in Erelandran religion, his presence meant the reaping of a soul. Dullahans rarely interacted with humans if they weren't claiming a soul for their God, which meant he was likely sent to aid them in keeping Kamawanaiyo from claiming all those innocent souls for herself to enhance her own strength.///// ///// tєเשєl ภคzคг300 // Parasite Demon // Mercenary For Hire◘◙◘◙◘◙◘◙◘◙◘◙◘◙◘◙◘◙◘◙◘◙◘◙◘◙◘◙◘◙ 
Teivel and Huum had made their way from the forest and towards the fork in the road where the marker to Perevath and Naoeth was. "This is where we part ways. Should you need my help, crush this pendant and speak these words; de darkot sjachi, aso ve jaka. It means in darkest shadows, aid me now. But, I digress, if you summon me for no reason other than life or death, I will be the one to deal the killing blow," he retorted with narrowed eyes.
His sole purpose, given to him by Kamwanaiyo herself in astral form, was to find her an army willing to kill her host and bring her into Istrea once more to claim it as her own. He would stop at nothing other than perfection to find her worthy soldiers for her army. No simple pawns were his task, but those with promise. Huum was an Illithid, a worthy adversary for the Cursed Witch's dark army, but if he got in Teivel's way the parasitic demon would show no mercy. Failure was something that Kamawanaiyo would not approve of. |
