Jinx took a moment for Salamander's appearance to sink in and then extended a slender grey hand, "I'm Jinx, nice to meet you. But please don't scare us like that again, I almost hexed you."

Nightshade chuckled as he throttled the quiet motorboat to follow the searchlight beam on the water, but stayed well out of it. As the beam of light panned out toward the sea, the ray turned on its circular arc away from in front of the boat's path. Dr. Powell then opened the throttle, no longer in danger of being spotted. The muffled engines of the Batboat hummed at a slightly higher pitch, and mild vibrations could be felt by all of the motorboats occupants.

With the front bulletproof glass shielding, most of the wind effects barely effected the passengers, yet the wind's buffeting roar was noticeable as the Batboat accelerated. Nightshade did a good job reading the incoming waves, now that they were going into the open sea, aiming the Batboat directly into the waves to cut through them expertly. Adjusting his speed so that the waves simply didn't throw the small motorboat, Des cut though with no problems. However, it was still a bumpy ride. At regular 'pulses' the cascade of waves would loudly batter the keel and lift the boat slightly upward. Each surge would jolt the passengers, and they would be assaulted by spray from the ocean, "I hope everyone is alright back there. And Salamander, is it? If you can teleport like you just did to get here, are you able to teleport others with you? If you can, then taking the radio room and bridge out of commission will be a lot easier. The last thing we need is the Il Duce sending out a distress signal. Don't want to be hip-deep in mafia goons and have to deal with the Coast Guard at the same time."

Jinx's cat eyes were now wide open in absolute shock sitting in the BatBoat -- which was decelerating toward and eventual stop. The Indian born sorceress could only stare with her mouth hanging open, gaping at the visage of the Man of Steel himself standing on the bow of the motorboat. Everyone, Jinx included, believed that most of the JLA was missing and lost all this time. But what was truly freezing Jinx into inaction was seeing those glowing red eyes of Earth's Kryptonian guardian. At a thought, Roshni realized that Superman could very easily vaporize them into atoms at a mere thought....

Nightshade stared in surprise at the Man of Steel, yet he had the presence of mind to ease up on the throttle and slow the BatBoat down to were the boat would stop into a drift -- keeping the engine running. Then slowly, the experienced vigilante held his hands out in a non-threatening manner and addressed Superman from under that mask and fedora, "Alright Superman, you want an explanation, you'll have one. First off, a lot of heroes are still missing, including Batman and -- up til now you. Others have been having to pick up the slack. I myself came out of retirement... and a resurrection... I and a few others have been operating out of the Batcave until the Dark Knight returns... hopefully. And we're not going to sink a ship, the Il Duce is owned by Carmine Falcone. He's shipping arms and equipment from an organization called AIM -- which we are trying to stop. Three 'special' projects are on board: one is a robot which can mimic abilities and powers, another is cyborg which seems to have programming and arsenal akin to a related project called 'Deathlok', and a human who has been experimented on with Gamma radiation. We're certain that the human experiments were not volunteers. If you don't believe me, you can look at any of the PDFs which are linked to the BatComputer in the Cave. The plan is to rescue the two people in there and destroy all of the AIM equipment. Then, wrap up all of the gangsters onboard for the Coast Guard. We're also approaching this steathfully because we don't know what kind of reinforcements these guys actually have."

When they came to a stop Daniel got out of the vehicle, he was wearing civilian clothes instead of his regular spider suit. "So, where exactly should we start, I dunno if you've noticed but Gotham Docs are kinda huge." He stated gesturing to the large craters and stuff that were around them.

[Enter Dimensional Walker and Agent Skye from Wayne Manor]

Close to the commercial docks, a non-descript black van pulls into an alleyway. Shutting off the engine, Skye gets out of the driver's seat and sits in the back firing up her computer and surveillance equipment, "Yeah, the place is huge. Major harbor. You're looking for the Harbor Master Office. It's should be a small building that's isn't a warehouse. You'll see parking around it, and it will be the one without any company signs. Get there, sneak inside without tripping any security, and stick that thumbdrive I gave you into a USB port in the computer of the head guy. The drive will hack in and then it will transmit to me here in the van. Remember, it's night. Don't tango with security. It's not that you can't handle them, but that will alert the mobsters. Got it?"

By the time Skye had finished talking Daniel was already long gone. How he'd done it without making a single sound, well, that's a trade secret of the BatFamily that he'd ran with during some other adventures. "This is too easy." He said to himself while putting the usb plug into a port on the main terminal that was hard to see. He'd actually kinda missed doing jobs like this, he used to enjoythem while he ran with the BatFamily.

Once the wireless link was up, Skye dove in. The hacker started bypassing the security in the Harbormaster's decktop, "Norton? Really? And he rarely updates... This is just too easy. Okay, where is... ah ha! Shipping manifests. Sort by owners... Got it! You're looking for the Il Duce. That's Falcone's ship. It's probably hasn't pulled in yet... At least, I don't see any notification of it docking. Look in that office. There should be a printout of arrivals and departures. Find it and look up the Il Duce."

Daniel found the information and removed all the evidence before vanishing as if no one had broken in at all, not even so much as a hair, fingerprint, footprint eyelash, he was thorough to avoid leaving any trace behind. "We need to leave, NOW!" He said throwing the thumbdrive into the van and getting in, it seemed urgent that they get out of there, completely different than his usual self.

They didn't have time to argue. Daniel went over to Skye's side of the vehicle, opened the door and basically shoved her over to the passenger side. "We don't have time for this, my SpiderSense is going crazy." He stated before driving as fast as the van could go and drove from the docks and into Gotham where they could get lost in the crowd.

Jinx's cat eyes were still wide open, intimidated by the presence of the Man of Steel. Quietly clearing her throat, Roshni held up a shaky hand to address Superman, "My name is Jinx, and I am a reserve Teen Titan. I came east from Jump City after the fall of Titans Tower, and ended up helping out fight off all of the cray-cray here in Gotham.”

Nightshade continued the introductions, ”And beside Arell is Catgirl – who has also been assisting in keeping crime down. And to the other side of me, we have a pair from the other Earth: Diamondback and Salamander.”

Crystal looked over at Nightshade then back at Superman. "Naw. My name's Crystal. I'm from Cajun country like this lug here." She gently pushed on Arell's shoulder. "And he's right. I don't like being called Catwmoman. I'm much classier than her~" She gave the alien a toothy grin. "Besides, I'm a Batcrew on the Earth I come from." She hoped that would score her brownie points.

Jinx's surreal moment continued. After breathing a sigh of relief from Nightshade talking down Superman -- then the Man of Steel joining the mission. A nervous smile appeared, before the meta-human calmed back down. Nightshade maneuvered the stealth boat at a slower speed to keep from kicking up any wake that could alert the ship's watch, "Alright, I'm going to come along side the Il Duce near the stern. Be ready. They'll have one or two watchmen on guard. Please knock them out so I can tie the boat off, and we'll get this over an done with quickly."



Near the stern section of the Il Duce, two armed watchmen in blue jumpsuit and orange hardhats patrolled along the railing of the ship.
