You can see a lot just by observing.

One dot, two dots, redblood, blueblood! Eridia chanted her favorite story from Troll Dr. Seuss in her head while she made her way to the NHC park, the best place in the city to stal- observe trolls of all ages. The highblood grinned, with her specs around her neck and her 'notes' close to her chest. She wouldn't want anyone to see what she had doodled on her way there nor see her recent observations.

"Say what a lot of troooolls there are!" Indeed there we're plenty of subjects to watch at this hour. Eridia directed her stare at a kid playing jump the rope, fully noticing her symbol. "This one has a little star!" She giggled at the coincidence and resume to skip to her usual hiding place, a bush unlike any other-- as she claimed. Once inside her lovely hideout, the child toook her specs and began to work.

"Yes. Some are red and some are blue," She quickly looked at the trolls who entered and left. "some are old and some are new!" Eridia drew the trolls she had seen so far, nicknaming them at her leisure even.

"Some are thin and some are chubby." The child glanced at a teen near her bush. "The chubby one is rather funny." She squealed and looked up at Lovedad with her specs. He perched on the tree above her with a smile. Wow, he's in a good mood. She thought and signed again with a satisfying smirk on her face.

"Where do they come from? I can’t say. But I bet they have come a long, long way! I love that book!" She giggled once more, and realized she might have been a little bit too loud. Hopefully no one noticed.

Bent over his notebook azrael was consumed in his own thoughts. Occasionally he looked up to watch the subjects of his observation. The ones that had caught his attention were a red blood and s green blood. The red blood seemed to be quite a klutz while the green blood was happily playing the skipping game with some kind of spikey bell --- oh they wee both playing. He had quick little doodles of these two with a series of four questions:

1R&G. Why is the red blood so uncoordinated vs the green blood.
2R is this a caste issue or an individual issue?
3R&G though the red one is more uncoordinated the green seems to be doing worse in the red?
4R&G Is this pity winning or is being uncoordinated part of the game.
Continued observation required.

Some other side notes were written about possible weights and the symbol.

After writing down another handful of notes he shifted his weight uncomfortably. The heat was getting to him, he'd already removed his jacket down to his blue and black shirt. Azrael's lusus lay curled up in Azrael's lap enjoying the heat much unlike his kid.

He had returned his attention to the two trolls when he heard an exclamation about s book. Love for a book? He ended up looking at the book before the direction he thought the sound had come from. Were they talking about his book? He looked back to his targets only to see that they were leaving. He would probably not find out much more about these two after this. So he changed his focus to the bush that had exclaimed love for a book.

Azrael pushed his lusus off his lap and climbed to his feet. Scarfettle gave a soundless shudder of irritation after being pushed off before standing on spindly hind legs to see what Azrael was up to.

Azrael walked up to the bush and pushed aside some branches to see what had made the exclamation. To his surprise there was another troll, possibly around his age. He tried to mask his surprise but didn't do quite as well as he'd hoped. "Oh!" It probably sounded mor like a surprised breath than an exclamation with how quietly it was said. "Please excuse my intrusion," he said but didn't bother moving. "Were you the one who made an exclamation about literature or perhaps was that someone else?"

Eridia blinked back at the blueblood who breach her bush's premises. She examined his face. He looked a bit surprised with a side of neutralness. He gave her a sinking vibe but really what didn't these nights? The highblood stepped out to get a better look at the kid. After making her mental notes on him and his lusus, Eridia decided she should at least answer his question, her way. After all, he was smart enough to look through the bushes before asking everyone at the park.

"Yeah." She said in a plain tone. "You don't anyone else around my bush that might've said that." The child played with one of her curls. "I am a refined purpleblood who enjoys reading entertainable books!"

Is entertainable even a word? She thought. Noticing she had her notes in hand, she quickly jotted down the word so she could ask her father later. She also noticed his book. Eridia tilted her head, wondering what kind of book it was.

"Hey intruder, what's that?" She pointed at his book and awaited his answer.

"No, I suppose you are right, no one else is here but you, " he agreed as though he hadn't thought of that at all "Yes that makes sense," Azrael replied with a nod in efweence to the book. "Thank you for telling me." He didn't react much to her behavior or being called an intruder, by all means he was an intruder and getting worked up would be pointless.

Azrael held up his sketch book, " it is my book of notes, I was examining a pair of trolls,"He held out his book for the high blood to see. "You see one was exceptionally clumsy but seemed to be winning a game yet their companion was obviously much more agile and should have been doing better in a skipping game,"

He spoke as though she were a fellow colleague or perhaps like they had known each other for a while. "I wanted to know if it was pity, rules of the game or something else," he was particularly excited about this topic but did his best to contain himself, he couldn't break his calm. "So, what book were you talking about miss?"

Even if she spoke rudely at the other, he remained calmed as if her words didn't affect... Her words definitely didn't affect the other. That bothered her. Eridia took or his sketchbook and examined it cover to cover as the blueblood explained his latest observations. She looked at his data, his notes, heck he even had drawings of his own. Who exactly was this kid? His tone ticked her off. How dare him speak to her as if they were friends? Still everything seemed weird. She thought she was the only one with such interest.

"So you observed these two?" She slowly returned his book. "Usually the best place to watch is were my hiding spot is." Eridia pointed at her bush. "You see everyone who goes in and out, plus its easier to navigate to another bush." Eridia loved doing that and her tone explicitly showed it. She snapped back to her usual self as he asked her a question.

"Probably they both lack the skills required to play the game. Or if pity indeed was involved, they both tried hard to let the other win. I think I've observed these two before... Let me check..." Eridia opened the book and began to search in her recent watches. "Yeah! Yet I didn't pay much mind to them, those two didn't seem exciting." The purpleblood handed him her notes so he could have a better look. She had even written 'These two aren't even worth my stinking time.' Followed by a quick drawing of them.

"By the way, I'm Eridia."

He nodded silently. "Yes," a simple reply. He wasn't exactly sure how to feel about this girl. She was pretty rude, but he did his best not to let it get to him. "Well, yes, if you're trying to be secretive about it, I prefer to take a more upfront approach," he found that kind of tactic rather distasteful. "But it is indeed a good spot," he listened to her as she talked about her own observation of the two and respectfully took the notebook. "Ahhh, well that--" Azrael hesitated. He wanted to say that even if they didn't seem exciting she was losing an opportunity to study by cutting them off. "I suppose so, I was more interested in what made the redblood so uncoordinated, I wish to know why some trolls are more coordinated than others, If that is caused by a biological aspect or one more psychosomatic,"

Ahhh, he found it nice to know that someone shared his interests and would you look at that even noted things in a similar way than him. He took a very eager liking to this highblood but tried to keep his voice and attitude as neutral as possible. He didn't realize how much his neutrality was causing conflict with the purple blood. He looked through a few other notes of hers. "Unfortunately, I won't be here for a while so any further observation of these two will be on hold indefinitely," Busthind wasn't exactly a cakewalk journey from here to there,

He handed back her notebook, "These are nice notes, I am sure I could learn something from your observations, I am Azrael,"

"Well Azrael, sometimes trolls don't exactly appreciate when someone observes them. That's why hiding is the best option." She said a little bit bitter. Surely it was sort of dishonest but that's the only way. She couldn't understand though his interest on those two. Psycho- what? Well that was another word she had to look up.

"C'mon, those two aren't even worth it!" The child rolled her eyes, noticing a couple of teens entering the park. They seemed rather close by first impression. The could be matesprites. She looked back at the other with a smirk. "I'll tell you what. I'll show you what type of trolls are best to observe before you leave. But we'll do it my way." She placed her hands on his shoulders, turning him slightly around for him to catch a glimpse of the two. "See those two dunderheads that just walked by? We are gonna observe them. By the looks of it they seem to be matesprites." She began to look at them, analyzing them from a distance. After they got out of her sight she walked back to her hiding spot. "The book's called One Dot Two Dots Redblood Blueblood*, By Troll Dr. Seuss." She went back to her bush expecting Azrael to follow. "Hey move it! We don't have all night!"

He couldn't deny her logic but he had a hard time accepting it. "True as that may be, it's a very dishonest means of observation," A light shake of his head. "It's... rather cowardly," After he spoke he mentally beat himself up a bit. He shouldn't be telling off a higher blood like that. His opinions didn't matter when it came to his higher ups, so what was he doing spouting this stuff?

Azrael found himself being involved in her way of observation faster than he would have liked. He watched the two teenaged trolls a moment as she went on about them possibly being matesprits. That did indeed pique his interest. Could that kind of closeness be platonic at all? Was it normal for friends to hold hands and hug and stuff of that ilk? Even with her demanding attitude he didn't join her in the bush. As much as he respected his higher ups he couldn't bring himself to find it anything less than uncomfortable. "I'm sorry Miss Eridia, I can't join you in the bush," He seemed truly sorry and this was probably the closest he had gotten to real emotion aside from his initial surprise. "It feels like I'm lying to the trolls here by doing that and I can't stand the thought," Azrael reached a hand up to his neck. He had completely forgotten the fact that he'd taken off his coat and intended to play with the white fur that lined the hood. Instead he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Ughh!" The highblood rolled her eyes. Was he being serious or just more annoyingly neutralish? Heck as if she knew, this kid was difficult to read. He had his reasons but for her, hiding while watching didn't seem as something treacherous. Besides, she only wished to see them in action so later she could split them up. She was an un-matchmaker after all.

"It's not dishonest!" The child spat, the leaves shook as she ranted from the inside. "Azrael, trolls don't show their true colors when they know someone's watching. Think of it as observing wild beasts, if you get too close they retreat. Besides, I'm not asking you to join me, I'm ordering you!"

"Plus," She played with her hair and sat down. Choosing the rights words was tough. "you look ridiculous arguing with a bush." She thought of dragging Azrael in by force if he wouldn't yield, it was a nice option. "Now quick your yapping and jump in!"

The moral conflict this was putting him in was painful to say the least. It was really hard to keep his emotions out of this very vital decision. He could feel his mouth starting to turn down in a scowl so he covered it with his hand to look like he was thinking about it.
refuse and continue to flaunt his morals or bow down to the highblood for the sake of society. The thought of choosing one or the other was killing him that was for sure. But she did have a point, even beasts had to be unaware of your presence in order to study them in their natural habitat.

"You pose a fair point miss," He agreed reluctantly feeling defeated morally. "I'm sure my ridiculousness is the lesser crime," he mumbled, meaning more that disobeying a direct order from his betters was a crime in and of itself. he looked over his shoulder briefly at his lusus who was staring at the tree where lovedad was, apparently trying to make contact with the other Lusus.

With great reluctance Azrael climbed into the bush and took his place next to the highblood."I can't allow myself to disobey such a direct order," the young blueblood stated, though it was more him trying to rationalize his decision than anything.

"Was that soooo hard?" She smirked at the fact she was victorious. "C'mon my trusty sidekick, onwards!" Eridia was about to signal her father but he was busy interacting with Azrael's lusus. Great timing dad. Great. Timing. She thought trying hard not to facepalm. "Ok kid, follow me and try being as silent as possible." The chubby child navigated to the neighboring bushes until she could hear the subjects voices.

Taking her specs, she began observing the trolls. One was a yellowblood and the other was a... purpleblood? Her grip got tighter, thinking the possibilities why were those two were even together. "Outrageous..." She mumbled. Eridia didn't even take her notes as usual, she was too fixed on them. How they interacted, how they spoke to each other. Why on Alternia was that even possible. The yellowblood was probably after the luxuries the higherblood possessed. She scowled and jotted rather angrily what she saw.

'yes as a matter of fact it was,' he thought bitterly. He never thought his moral's would come into such conflict, it was definitely something he didn't like. Though he guessed being a sidekick wasn't too bad, It's all he could hope for when blood color was taken into account. The attention from a higher blood should have made him happy, but it just made him conflicted. At least this one did.

Without a word Azrael silently followed Eridia to the next bush. It was a good thing he wasn't wearing his coat. The huge amount of fluff would have just got caught on the branches for sure. When he took his place next to her he searched for whomever it was she'd set her sights on. A purpleblood and a yellowblood was it. He felt a a twinge of disapproval at the match. Why would they aim so low? He'd feel better if maybe it was purple and blue or even purple and teal for the purple blood while A greenblood would be the highest. He wanted to know what attracted them together.

Silently he flipped the page in his sketchbook and began a quick sketch of the two and his series of questions:

Y&P: what is the attraction here.
P: is this just a fling or are they really together.
Y&P are they platonic or is this flushed.

He glanced over at her notepad noting how irritated she seemed at this couple and flipped over his notebook to make a note on her before turning it back over and reading over her notes. He didn't want to risk talking and letting their point be none, besides she told him to be as silent as possible.

Honestly she thought her eyes would melt if she kept looking at them. 'There's gotta be a way to reveal their true colors... ughh... but how?' She whispered, thinking of a way to un-match those dunderheads. She still wrote and drew furiously. The child criticized them in every way she could think of.

Criticism.. The child snapped her fingers. “That’s it! How much easier it is to be critical than to be correct?” She squealed and covered her mouth. Eridia looked at the other, her mouth still covered. If she got them to criticize each other, that would definitely get them apart. A good argument always hurt others.

“I. Have. A brilliant ideaaaa!” She whispered and rubbed her hands rather evil. "I'll need your assistance of course. Hehehe." She cackled in a low voice.

Criticism? What was she going on about? Azrael couldn't help but think this troll was very strange indeed. Reveal their true colors? Well he figured he could just play along and see how it went, he wasn't sure that he liked this troll very much but what could he do.

Azrael opened his mouth like he was going to say something and instead he changed the page of his sketchbook to a blank page and quickly wrote a message that read:
'I don't have much of a choice in this do I?'

then showed Eridia the sketchbook and pointed out his message. He held it long enough for her to read and then pulled it back so he could write another quick message before showing it to her once again.

'am I allowed to speak yet? Or do I need to keep as silent as possible still?'

Evidently, the young blue blood had taken her command very seriously and as she had not given the order to start talking was still awaiting the next order.
