I'm reaching out to anyone who loved zOMG like I still do. sad
I'm trying to put together a set of zOMG loot to keep in my storage as memorabilia. I only ever broke one golden egg during the 2k11 event and so I only have the badge to prove it.
If you have a golden egg drop from zOMG, would you mind gifting or selling?

Thanks heart

Sorry, had a look but I don't have one : (

Its a nice idea to collect the items!

Looking through the zomg items sure was a trip down memory lane! Mantis, Div, Coy, Hb, bandage, wish, sphere and meat were my standards.

regret not spending enough time to lvl all my rings to cl12 before it closed... not that it makes a difference now I suppose

I know right? I am a classical musician. When I first stepped into Barton, I instantly recognized Bartok and Debussy in their fantastical but dramatic style of music. Playing through the game, seeing the maps, and hearing the music... I was so in love.
Thank you so much for taking a look for me.

no way xD
This thread just prompted me to go hunting for the original sound track after I replied and am listening to it now and having too many feels crying

No problems, happy to help! Not sure how many other people still hang around here and check the guild...but there were quite a few hoarders when we were active so someone might have something!

When I was first starting music about 15 years ago, I remember falling in love with the piano works of Maurice Ravel. One of my favorite pieces was his Ma Mere l'Oye (Mother Goose) for two pianos and meant to be played by children (it's not terribly hard if you have 4 hands! haha). I was ecstatic when I heard the orchestral version for the first time on zOMG about 5 years ago. I couldn't remember what it was but I then heard it on the radio about 2 weeks later. I then found out that I was going to get to perform the complete suite with my community orchestra later that year. It was such a magical experience.
Have a listen to Maurice Ravel's Mother Goose Suite here. You'll recognize some of the movements. wink

0:00 Pavane de la Belle au bois dormant (Sleeping Beauty)
1:38 Peit Poucet (Tom Thumb)
5:25 Laideronette, impératrice des pagodes (Little Ugly Girl, Empress of the Pagodas) {Heard in Zen Gardens}
9:12 Les entretiens de la Belle et de la Bête (Conversations between Beauty and the Beast) {Heard in Village Greens} +DAT CONTRABASSOON SOLO DOH!!!+
14:17 Le jardin ferique (The Fairy Garden)
