Somehow Ruka didn't seem to freak out. It must have been the cold, there wasn't anything else that would make sense. She seemed happy to see him instead of mad, before she sneezed. He grabbed the tissue box from the counter and handed it to her. "It seems you needed someone to take care of you after all. That cold would've gotten worse if you stayed there without a blanket. Go back to the couch or bed, either one. I'll get you some soup and medicine." he said while he turned her around and made a shooing motion outside the kitchen. "I'll get a bit of your homework done as well. Just don't get any sicker."

Ruka stood still, a little surprised as Akira shoved a tissue box into her hands after she sneezed. She stared at him for a moment in shock as he told her what he wanted her to do as well as what he was going to do for her. "You don't-" before she could mutter out anything else, Akira was spinning her around and shooing her out of her own kitchen. Why was he so into caring for her? It was just a cold. She could do her homework on her own...and it wasn't too big of a deal to just run to the nearest convenience store to get some medicine.

Ruka stood for a moment, trying to collect her thoughts in one place as she complied to what Akira had requested of her. Slowly, tissue box still in her hands, she lightly walked to the couch, wrapping herself in the blanket once more and turning up the television volume to hear what was happening in the anime that was on. She held a tissue in her right hand to her slightly red and irritated nose. She let out another small and cute sneeze before blowing her nose and continuing to focus her attention on the show in front of her.

Satisfied that she was returning to the couch, Akira gave a nod of approval to himself before turning to the kitchen to prepare soup. As he searched through the cabinets for a pot he heard the television volume rising up to where even he could hear the anime. He started the stove and emptied the can't contents into the pot, filling with water to the right amount. Once the soup was set to heat up, he removed the medicine from the grocery bag as well as the chocolate.

Since he knew she wasn't under 6, he grabbed a tablespoon and went into the livingroom. "You'll be having two tablespoons of this before the soup." he explained to her, holding up the bottle and spoon, keeping the chocolate behind his back. He sat down on the couch, cracking open the plastic lid of the bottle and holding it to Ruka. "I assume you want to do it yourself?"

Ruka sat on her couch, covered in the blanket as her eyes were fixated on what was playing on the television. Every now and then she would sneeze and blow her nose, but kept silent like she usually did while Akira was working in the kitchen.

Turning her attention to him as he sat down next to her, she shifted a bit, allowing him to have more room on the couch. She stared at him as he got the medicine bottle ready, handing her the spoon then the bottle. She nodded slightly at his words, pouring the contents to fill the spoon to the rim, she placed the spoon in her mouth, letting the syrup run down her throat. She squeezed her eyes shut at the unpleasant taste, letting it get all the way down before she poured another spoonful. Repeating her actions, she flinched once more at the taste, "Ugh..." she breathed out before handing the spoon and bottle to Akira once more. She snuggled up in her blanket more, her eyes darting to the screen once more.

He couldn't help but laugh at Ruka's reaction to the medicine. "Come on, that stuff helps despite the taste. Besides I got you a treat." he said as he revealed the candy. "Wasn't sure what kind of candy you liked so I just got something that looked good." he put the candy on top of the blanket now that Ruka cocooned herself. He stood up from the couch, watching the show for a moment before he walked over to the kitchen to finish the soup. there were sill a couple minutes till it was ready so he stayed until it was finished. When it was, he returned to the couch and set the bowl of sup on the table. "Here we go. Eat up and get healthy."

Ruka watched as Akira placed the candy on top of her blanket, a small smile forming on her face. She was really glad to have Akira around. Without him, she would have to deal with a lot of things alone. It feels weird to think about being alone again, now that more people have started talking to her. Her eyes followed the male as he moved to the kitchen then back to where she was. "T-thank you..." she stuttered before letting a small "chu" as she sneezed. Clearing her throat, she gently picked up the soup in her hands, one holding the bowl and the other the spoon. Blowing gently on it to cool it down, she took a sip, her smile widening. "It's delicious. Thank you."

"Just trying to prevent you from having an actual excuse to skip school with." he joked, sitting down on the floor next to the table, legs crossed and a hand on each knee. "I know I'm not the greatest of cooks, no need for exaggerating. It's just chicken noodle, but it will help you get over this cold faster." Akira smiled in reaction to Ruka's, glad she wasn't like her usual ice-princess self. "You know, you look cuter when you smile. You should do it more often."

"Gosh dad." Ruka joked, taking another sip of her soup. Why was he so concerned for her going to school? It's not like she was going to get kicked out. She was one of the top students in the school, there was no way she would fail if she didn't want to. He was concerned like a parent. "It's still good." she told him as she was able to drink more of it the cooler it got. Taking another spoonful, Ruka almost choked when Akira told her she was 'cute'. Coughing, her eyebrows furrowed as a light blush came to her face. "S-shut up!" she growled, her eyes darting to look somewhere else rather than at him.

Akira was genuinely concerned about Rukas'a attendance. Despite her good grades, he was afraid that her being absent would affect her future somehow. His mind went away from a grim-dark fear over Ruka's future as she responded to his 'cute' remark. Playing with it, he grinned and added; "You're not denying it princess." He was glad, not to make her embarrassed as the blush revealed, but that she didn't strike out in anger at his poke. He turned his head to the TV, to let Ruka calm down. "So, whatcha watching?"
