Antonio sucked in a heavy breath as he took in the essence of his office. He trailed his fingers against the polished dark oak desk and glided them across just like his thoughts. So much work was to be done tonight but he didn't have the drive to do them all. He was rather bored. Bored of all the tasks he had ahead of him and knowing how they would most likely end. He sat down behind his desk and slid himself into the comfort of his working environment. Ah, too bad the comfort was called, "Boredom."
His eyes drew over to the candle he had lit earlier. It rested at the edge of his rather expensive wooden work and was at the risk of burning out so soon after it was literally lit to life. The flame naively swayed like the sails of a boat as this information was retained. He would have to call that small eyed slave to get another candle for him or else he would be stuck with the darkness. He would have been alone in the dark, fighting the urge to sleep, and wake up with paper cuts.
Speaking of being alone, when was the last time he was ever with someone in the dark? A couple of months ago, perhaps. Hm. Though, he wondered why it was months ago when it should have been hours ago. He usually took someone in a temporary night home to slate off the stress he received from work and come back home the next morning for breakfast with a smirk on his face. However, he hadn't. Why was that?
When Antonio returned from his mind palace, darkness had greeted him once more. Brilliant. He stroked his hair back and held it there in an irritated mood. He could have done some work but he didn't do anything but think. Not productive at all. Now he was going to have to wait and be consistent with the lack of productivity he was already doing. "HOSHI!" He shouted from the second floor. "CANDLE!"
