The Andromeda Galaxy, untouched by human hands, acts as home to planets and races of all shapes and sizes. There are the scaled behemoths known as Galiganth, the intellectual gray-skins, the greedy Sequin, and last but not least, the prideful Nekonobi. Now, these races hadn't always been known. Rather, they climbed their way to the top in a series of events worthy to be reenacted in a Hollywood block buster. Would you like to know the story? Of course you would.

(Rushed and somewhat vague. Sue me why don't ya.)

It was about 400 years prior to the events of the guild. The Nekonobi, similar to how they are now, lived a life of intergalactic travel. At the time, however, the furry race made their living as tradesman, petty peddlers who traveled from planet to planet selling their goods to whatever poor sucker bought them. They were a mischievous group. They were always known to get themselves into situations, that, quite literally, were too big for them. Their ego, often didn't really add up with the size of their bodies. Seeing as most didn't grow taller than the "low"-end average of a male adolescent. The Nekonobi, however, were a delightful group. Their elegantly tribal lifestyle was one that any person in all of the Andromeda galaxy could admire, and if in tight with one of the nomadic tribes the race consisted of, good drink and plentiful entertainment was never too far away.

The Nekonobi, however, were still a feeble race. They were only merchants, not necessarily successful ones at that. Many of the other races towering above them had set limitations on the development of other races, specifically ones that did not follow same denomination of faith that a specific union had created. It was a man-made religion set to worship a man-made figure. The power, the role, the faith, the idol... all of it was inorganic. It was a crime; a shame in the eyes of the races who refused to humor such an idiotic belief. Praising an Engine? To hell with it. And instead, it was they who were forced into hell.

Restricted areas of travel, set income, and infrequent immediate "tax" demands were forced upon those not of the union. The Nekonobi, specifically, found themselves pushed into involuntary unpaid labor to transport and sell Union goods across the galaxy. So..in someways, the Nekonobi had it better than most, and it was for that reason that those cunning felines were the perfect choice for the ones whom would lead the rebellion against such a corrupt Union.

For 100 years or so, the rebellion was planned. The founding fathers of this uprising had passed away over the years, and their offspring always picked up where they had left off. Such conviction had never been seen before. The consistency in ideals were upheld, and eventually the rebellion was ready to happen.

After 100 years of gaining trust with the 5 primary races who were to take part in the rebellion, a new language was formed. This language was known as Follytail(English Bitches). They certainly didn't have access to the technologies that could be used for full transmission masking, but to them, a language barrier worked just as well.

The rebellion took place on the day of a coronation of sorts. The almighty engine god had "given birth" to an heir. In other words, the planet on which the races of the Algori Union were primarily home to were powerless for about ten minutes during the installation process of the new Engine Core. This left the rebellion with ten minutes to overturn the strongest force in their galaxy. What more of an opportunity did they have? There was no opportunity, and because of this, they were ready.

The Gray-skins, a race currently apart of the Algori Union, had made a drastic shift in alliances over the 100 year preparation. Secretly, they had begun working with the rebellion to arrange a more and more frequent flow of Nekonobi shipment drop offs, giving specific individuals who would be taking part in the rebellion ways to scout capital of Algori and learn it's structure. Aside from that, on the day of the rebellion, a multitude of Nekonobi ships were scheduled to land on Algori and unload their shipment. A very large shipment included the new Engine Core. And as a surprise to the Union, every other containment unit was packed with rebel soldiers ready to execute the mission of their lives.

From there we can come to say that in the ten minute blackout, Algori was overcome with tactical power, desperate action, and a people filled with anger. How many lives were lost? There was a decision to take such a count. Of course there was a body count. This was a rebellion. People on both sides would die; both Innocent, and guilty. But it was all for the sake of this rebellion's beliefs. And in the end, their beliefs proved to be stronger than that of the Algori.

A year or two passed and a new Union had been formed. One that was not ran on a measurement of faith in a false god, but rather one that would stand for equality in the best way it could. Of course there were flaws. And there were even some who had blackened hearts. But this came with every figurehead of power. But all who had once been restricted and abused over those few hundred years could agree, that this was a turn in the right direction. And absolutely no one could disagree that it was thanks to the behind the scenes leadership of the great Nekonobi. Hence, the new union was named after that race of cunning felines.

This was the Origin of the Nekonobi Union.
