F I R S T year had been hard, obviously being sorted into Slytherin set her apart however there were boys still there. The Sorting Hat had seen that part of her, originally she didn't care what house she was put into she just wanted the one with the population more directed towards the female gender. “Sadly even though the Slytherin name is held high among people it is still considered a house for purebloods who are shunned by other houses. Fear which is often unspoken both ways has created a gap in the houses. In that house you will find close friends and allies who will close ranks and protect you no matter what.” The hat spoke to her in her head causing her to close her eyes. “Thank you,” she whispered as the Sorting Hat shouted “Slytherin!” There was an applause as the hat was pulled off her head and she was allowed to scramble to one of the last free seats considering her last name did start with a W.

The entire first year followed the hat's words since there were only a few times where she felt threatened. It was right however, any time she was bullied there was another Slytherin there usually an older one but that didn't matter. Years two and three were about the same, time passed, she got decent grades but it wasn't until fourth year did she do something that put her a little above the others. In her own spare time she would craft spells but nothing too amazing, just duplicates of ones that were already made with a little bit of a change to add to it. An example would have to be 'Natare Lumos' which created a small ball of light that hovered around a person so they could read at night without really bothering anyone else. It was like reading under a full moon. During her fourth year she was in a duel and when she found herself losing she cast Oblivate causing the other person to forget how to duel and pretty much everything. The teachers rushed over to them in full panic mode however Alessa ran up to her and cast 'Revertere Oblivate' completely reversing the spell. The professors were amazed and praised her since she had figured out the reversal which could aid so many people accidentally Oblivated. Of course that also made it well know that she was a crafter and that spell became her go to spell.

At first she thought that this was going to be a good thing, another reason for others to leave her alone however a that wasn't true. More and more people requested to duel her, some wouldn't take no for an answer and attacked her outright. That was when she met Ellie for the first time, she was cowering in a corner casting a protection spell over and over as the other kid fired Stupify over and over again. Even though she was one year older Ellie had a righteous rage knocking the attacker down before helping Alessa get to the nurse's office.
