Mad_Cynic has decided he is leaving, which leaves the rest of us with a bit of a quandry. There were several story arcs planned with his character. I think they can be worked around, but I wanted peoples opinions. Is anyone even interested in continuing, or should we just close up shop and call it quits?

Please vote in the poll above, and, if you wish, leave your thoughts below. Thanks.

Hi, Feei here!

Following Cynic's leave from the guild and RP as a whole, I thought it would be appropriate timing to pitch in a few words. Much more simply, I'll have to respectfully take my bow.

Before joining this RP, I admit I was quite skeptical to the idea. It's been over a year before I even thought about RPing and everything that comes with it. As a past RPer on Dreamwidth, I'm very accustomed to the organization of things and activity being the foundation; it keeps it afloat. Collaboration with one another, that's really what keeps small hobbies like these alive. Reading back on this paragraph, I know, very dramatic. It's a dear hobby of mine, so I'm disappointed to see that the loss of a character could easily shake what we had going. I do understand that the RP does have direction and certain plot points to cover, but I really do think even with the loss of a major character, character arcs can be changed and maybe even changed for the better. That's the thrill of RPs and creating stories together.

That said, I found myself at a loss. I do understand that many of us are very busy, we each have lives to care for and a hobby is on the bottom of our lists. That also said, I personally think RP as a good place to let myself go. It saddens me to see the activity as a whole just plummet into almost silence. We could notify each other that we should be keeping up with our activity, should, but I personally think that our hearts just might not be in it anymore. It's something forced; a chore. We are not drawn into creating this work. With how busy as it is, I do think we are at a huge stalemate. All the hard work and it's unclear what goes beyond this point.

I regret to say I have no choice but to pull myself from the RP. I really did feel my heart in it but time has definitely done something. Communication is important and it's unclear what could be keeping us all busy, but that is that. Even if you guys do continue, I wish you all of luck and give you all my love.

xoxo
