The guy was so, so weak now. Alifax had to marvel a little. He'd seemed so resilient in the beginning - he'd dared to set fire to his own ******** plants. Of course that'd been his downfall - and of course it'd be his downfall still. If he wanted to burn, he could burn. Not paying mind to anyone around him, he lit his meteors and stepped forward and swung -
Hey, it was satisfying.
ooc info HP: 7/20 damage done: 6 + 1 = 7stuff: novice agility b, novice defense b, power which is offense b (all unused) <--- using power in this post o also his meteors are military grade! c:

Mommydaddy flew into Dictys' arms on their own, because of course they did. All around the pair, trolls were already beginning to flee. It made sense, Dictys thought, and ey grabbed hold of Mommydaddy's middle before they could fly off toward the jadeblood again. "You can't be this reckless," Dictys hissed. It simply wasn't on. This was Dictys' lusus - didn't Mommydaddy understand that they were important to em? They needed to go - and Dictys, too.
Then they could study, and prepare for it to happen again. Because it certainly would, if Dictys planned on enlisting. But ey'd get to that when it came, and not a moment before. Dictys' childhood was meant to prepare em, after all. Ey'd have to make the most efficient use of it. Then ey could stand out again. ooc info HP: 24/40 damage done: 0 stuff: novice agility b...............which ey can't use lmao

Spitting out a tooth the queen suddenly moved quickly, while other trolls were still couging and blinking in the collapse. Crouching by the branches she pulled out a small vial, capturing some of the jade blood as it dribbled. The vial was tucked away again in a blink and the queen was heading back to the rest of the trolls, looking her usual confident self.
"C'mon let's get moving! It's too bright here -- can anyone not walk? Get someone else to help you, we need to get heading back before people bleed out." Sheathing her weapon, she barked orders at the disoriented children and teens. It was almost possible to believe she herself was unharmed, if it wasn't for the deep cuts and blood, burns and more that covered the queen, and the splint that helped her stand on one leg "If you're feeling tired, fight it! This place isn't safe, or stable, and Chittentown's a good long walk away."

Reemus had been following Voscil's orders to a T, and the blush had quickly left his face as they focused on the current situation. It was very tempting to push his lusus from behind if it would get her to possibly move faster; they had to get OUT of here. Reemus only paused his march to look over as Vos got Zindel to get moving. She truly was a pack leader. He was in awe, but also slightly jealous. The other yellowblood was just so capable and in control...he hoped he could be like that someday. Even without powers. Then Vos had yelled out to Etsali, and a redblooded kid who quickly disappeared. It was interesting how everyone he met ranged from red, to orange, to yellow. But then, this WAS a Chittentown problem more than anything else.
But, more importantly, the jadeblood had finally given up. Aendal went out with less than a bang, and while Reemus thought it was good riddance, to be torn apart like that...was a horrible ending to a horrible being. Having psionics were awesome, but if they could destroy you like that... Any deep thought he had on the matter vanished as the cavern continued to cave in. Lusii were going down left and right. He had to get Woofmum out of here before she could join those ranks; it was a barkbeast eat barkbeast world, but he wasn't about to let her be on the menu.
He was so absolutely beat, though. It was a miracle that he was still standing. But, the queen HERSELF was ordering that everyone stay sharp until they got back to town! The long...long way back to town. If only Woofmum's leg wasn't broken so he might get to ride her back and rest his aching everything. Alas.
While Reemus wanted to head out with his new friends, their route seemed much, much different than the one he knew. And he couldn't risk getting lost now. "I'll see you lot when we're back up on the surface!" he called out over the growing chaos before leading his howlbeast towards the way they came in. Maybe he'd find Sinter and Nervit while escaping, or maybe after. He sincerely hoped they and their lusii were safe...

She watched the jadeblood get torn apart by his own vines. A grotesque, if satisfying image to be burned into her mind. Eostre was glad the fight was over... She felt worn down and was ready to go home at last. And very glad not to get crushed by the falling debris. She glanced around the cave, looking... She spied a child and a vaguely familiar yellowblood looking panicked around... something (a lusus?), some more children, the Queen giving rousing commands, and Aandes. There he was... She approached him as quickly as her weary legs would take her and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Come on, we can finally get out of here so we should get going before anything worse happens," she said quietly, looking at the others who were leaving, and then looking back to Aandes. They came in together and so she felt it was only right to make sure they left together... "Hey, when we get home, let's get some coffee together, alright?" she said suddenly. After all this disgusting heat and dehydration and tiredness, she craved something cold and tasty and filled with chocolate and stimulants, and what would be better than an iced coffee from the finest shops that home had to offer?

Etsali didn't see the end of the battle, was spared the sight of their enemy's last moment by the attention she was giving her lusus, but she felt it. The cavern was rumbling its last as well, and between the falling debris and bursts of water, she didn't need the reminder that it was high time to leave. She didn't need it, but she was glad for it when she heard Voscil's calls anyway. Gently pulling away from Keeper, she stood and then urged the raccoon dragon onto her feet. She could walk, Etsali thought, and really she had no choice but to walk if she wanted to survive, but they would have to go slower than she was sure either of them liked. It was enough.
"I'm here!" She raised her voice and then an arm to wave in the direction she'd heard the yellowblood. "Keeper's hurt kind of bad, but we can make it. Um, Ephias was here but he went to find Wolly..." She turned to look back the way she'd seen the redblood go, biting her lip. Keeper would be okay, but had Wolly been so lucky wherever he'd been? She wished she'd been able to go with Ephias. He'd done so much for her and she'd had to leave him all alone to find his lusus.
No, she couldn't leave without him, not after that. "Ephias!" He'd said to call if she needed help, so maybe he was still within hearing distance. If he didn't answer, she'd go looking for him. Keeper wouldn't like it, but she'd have to wait here or maybe she could even be convinced to start for an exit on her own? The thief doubted it, but she knew her lusus didn't need the extra stress of a search. "Hey! We're leaving, where are you?!"

As the final moments of the battle came to a dramatic climax, Voscil watched as the jadeblood was finally taken down. In some ways she wished she hadn't even if he'd been their enemy, it was still a life being taken. No matter what side she was on, it was bitter sweet moment of victory. As violent of a world as Alternia was, she couldn't help but have mixed feelings about the situation. It was almost hard to process, was it really over? Had they actually won? The answer of course was simple, they’d achieved what they’d set out to do. While she’d wanted to flee before that exact moment, getting to see the conclusion in of its self was rewarding she had to admit. The vines burst and snapped, and the sound of water roared in her ears. Time was of the essence, and if they didn’t do something..
When she heard the familiar voice of Estali she jumped up and down a time or two waving in confirmation she’d heard the other. "Oh good! I'm glad." In the heat of battle she'd called out for them, and to know they were alive no matter how worse for the wears she'd take it. "MamaJu is too...we have a lot of injured lusus." she gestured to the varying levels of lusii injury in their small party with a grim sigh.
The follow up about Wolly needing to be found made her pout just a bit, but she nodded in understanding. "Alright! I'll help out if I can!" She assured the pair, giving them a thumbs up. Sure she'd promised that more than once over the time period they'd spent together, but she meant it all the same. Voscil looked between Reemus and Zindel for a moment, knowing she’d already asked them about leaving. Voscil had hopes they’d understand they’d be gone in no time.
Voscil saw that Reemus was leaving without them, and she held nothing against her new friend. His mama was hurt, and he'd been brave enough already in listening to her, and helping them. Voscil nodded to him as he called out to them, heading for the exit. "I'll see you on the other side yeah of course!" She called after the yellowblood, waving her hand frantically in an understanding gesture. There was no reason to tell him to be safe, he seemed more than capable in her eyes. A frown creased her face, wishing for a brief moment she could race after the pair.
Yet she had promised her teammates she'd help them had she not? She'd see the other yellowblood again afterall. The fact she wanted to help her friends look made her mother angry, she could see it in MamaJu’s expression. “We’ll go as soon as we have everyone!” She stressed in reply, stamping her foot impatiently at her overly worried mother, not willing to budge and inch. Even with fleeing trolls and lusii, Voscil felt wrong to just turn tail and book it on her own. She was already walking in their direction without a second thought.

The sight of Aendal's demise made Aandes' stomach turn. If he hadn't lost his stomach contents earlier, he would have just now. Aandes shuddered and whimpered, and turned back to Koalapops. He was on his last leg, heaving and bleeding from his wounds. "Time to go," he began, and suddenly he felt a presence behind him. With a start, he turned -- Eostre. No more surprises today.
She looked gorgeous and confident as always - in the fight she'd managed to fare well, even if her clothes were worse for wear. He couldn't help but smile weakly before quivering again from the situation at hand. He just couldn't shake it. He wrapped his arms around his torso and sighed. "Yeah... Thanks. For everything," he cleared his throat and fidgeted, unable to remove the sharp knot restricting his breathing. He had to get out of the caves soon. He was worn ragged. Only Eostre's words gave him the energy he needed.
Ice cold coffee. Aandes wiped his face with his arm rapidly to cut off the tears budding from the mere thought. Just earlier he thought he'd never see the surface again, never mind tasting sweets again. It sounded like heaven.
"Alright," Aandes managed. He didn't have the energy to say much. "I'd really... really like that."

Cops and Robbers Health: 25/40
After wading back through the water, Ephias attempted to revive his lusus. The sheep was in bad shape. It was impossible to tell the extent of the damage he took beneath all his wool but his breathing was shallow, and a smear of red blood stained the side of his head. He was alive though and his short, stubby legs appeared to be unbroken. At the moment, that was good enough for Ephias.
He splashed some water across Wolly's muzzle. The sheep stirred, eyelids fluttering. Ephias grimaced. Grabbing the sheep by the shoulders, he helped him to his hooves. There was no time. “Wolly, it's me. We have to go.”
Wolly blinked at him ponderously.
“It's over. Everything is c-coming down. We have to go.”
The urgency in his voice brought Wolly out of his stupor. Planting his hooves, he gave his coat a little shake, which was as much as he could manage for the moment. He was still soaked through. Then, with Ephias' guidance, he began to plough through the water, towards the exit.
Up ahead, Ephias saw a group of familiar trolls. They were just... standing there. As if the whole cavern was not about become a sudden deathtrap. “What the hell are you do-doing?!” Ephias shouted, pushing on Wolly's back to help him go faster. On some level he was touched that they would wait for him. Mostly though, he was worried about the incoming flood. Behind him, he could hear the rumble of the water shattering the cave walls. At this point they might not make it out alive. “Go, go, go!” he screamed.
