Retreating from the onslaught, Regina blinked as Aendal was suddenly on top of her. "Hey! Ugh -- ow! ******** gross I don't hate you that way! Get off!!" Kicking and flailing, she remembered suddenly that she had a weapon in her hand and sliced at Aendal until he let go and retreated. Glaring around, she felt her sponge clots ringing. No one had helped her, their queen. True no one had joined in, but no one had helped her. She glared around the field, her expression sour, wiping the blood that coated her face and neck aside. She was being a good queen wasn't she? Coming in and helping these pathetic lowbloods, saving a city from a maniac? No one had helped her. She would remember the faces of everyone here today.

After another go of trying to cling to a lusus and free them at the same time, and notably failing, Reemus stood up and dusted any extra gunk that clung to his soaking shorts before stretching with a tired grunt. Voscil was trying to keep everyone chipper, and Zindel apologized. Reemus personally couldn't complain despite his misgivings. Obviously this didn't make him like the redblood more, but it didn't make him feel any worse. The mood just went back to neutral.

While stretching his arms up during a quiet moment, Reemus looked over at Zindel's efforts with some vines. But they were...? Moving? A little? "Uhhhh, mate?" Yes, they were definitely rising up, towards the other kid. "MATE, THE VINES-"

Reemus was too shocked to race over and pull Zindel away.

Boy, Odette sure knew a lot of highbloods...

Was something Kei would have thought if such things pierced her delusional consciousness or if she cared. She stayed back from the purpleblood as Odette, her guardian... angel? Fairytroll? Person she was grateful to? Confronted the purpleblood.

But honestly Kei had other things to worry about... like machetes, as the blood-spattered face of the rainbowdrinker loomed from the fog. ”Odette! Watch out!” she shouted, trying to fend him off with her sword...

Their talk was cut short after Aendal suddenly decided to attack the group-- the vines around Zindel's hands that he was trying to pull off a lusus started grabbing at him, making Zindel scream. He had barely noticed Reemus's warning-- he could barely understand him with his stupid accent, anyways! With a yelp, Wrenmom threw herself in front of a hit from Aendal, saving Zindel from a particularly hard hitting hit. With wide eyes, Zindel wrenched his body out of the vines and rushed to Wrenmom, cradling her in his arms. "Wrenmom, what did I say!! Stop it...!" He said desperately-- he could take care of himself, thank you very much!! She didn't need to protect him...!!

Vremea dealt 5 damage.

While Vremea waited for the haze to clear out, she felt... something... crawling around her legs? Wait-- what? Something slithered up her leg, no wait, there were multiple things-- VINES! Vremea quickly slashed at them, and suddenly a large amount of vines attacked at her at once. She was so busy with the vines she hadn't noticed Aendal creeping up on her. She let out a groan of pain when she felt him hit her, then sent one hit right back, on his side. That'd show him! She was getting a little worse for wear, yeah, but she needed to try and keep kicking his butt!!

Reemus watched as two team mates' lusii took the brunt of a couple of hits from that jadeblooded b*****d. And here Reemus thought they were safe just because he himself hadn't been victimized. He grit his teeth and made to run after Aendal, but Woofmum caught him on the scruff and yanked him back. Reemus in the meantime kicked and screamed. "I'M SICK A' THIS BLOKE N' 'IM BAILIN' ON EVERYONE. IT'S NOT FAIR! I'M GONNA- I'm gonna..." He was tired. Getting angry was exhausting, and he hadn't slept for a whole day. There just wasn't enough energy to have a full-out righteous fit. In fact, if Gillian hadn't started lapping at his face, Reemus would've clonked out right then and there.

Groaning as he got back to his feet, Reemus scowled and pointed out toward's Aendal's far figure. "I'm gonna bite 'im at some point I swear on me Mum. If me Mum LETS me," he added with a look to Woofmum, who kept being a stick in the mud. "Can't just let him keep hurtin' you n' everyone else!"

Gillian pointedly told him that this was the point of being a lusus. Heel, boy. Heel. Reemus just grunted and looked for a distraction. However, getting back into trying to free lusii, he was kind of hesitant after the vines turning on Zindel. If that could happen to him, it could happen to anyone. So Reemus was a little too slow with a new target and quickly lost his shot at it.

Angrily grinding her teeth, she pushed forward again. Whatever. She didn't even care. She was here to cut trolls and have fun, not make pals. Charging after Aendal, she was sure to not show how tired she was feeling. The queen had to set an example, after all.

Keionx tried her best to drive off the jadeblood with her blade, but he was too fast - compared to him, she was nothing, just a little troll barely even able to flail around. His face receded into the fog and Keionx gasped a breath of relief and exertion. She was tiring.

She, the hero, was tiring.

Regina paused in her assault on the remaining lusii and Aendal to crouch in the water, taking a second to duck down and wash the blood off her. It was a mishmash of different colours, reminding her of the art galleries that she had first seen after ascending to the throne. There sure was a lot of her own though. She wasn't worried about her own injuries - she was smart enough to retreat when things would become life threatening, but she was worried about what kind of a message that would send to others. Turning back from the fight, she began to push and slice her way through to where the other kids were. Maybe someone in this messiahforsaken place was a field medic.

Zindel failed to free a lusus.

Watching the yellowblood run after Aendal and the little rage fit he had afterward, Zindel hid his laughter, looking away from him quickly and covering his mouth. What a joke. This guy was willing to jump into battle at the drop of a hat. Maybe they should've avoided him-- he felt like a grenade, about to explode from anger. Quickly creating a neutral expression, Zindel grabbed on the vines again wearily and continued tugging at them. There really wasn't anything better to do, and no chance to escape had come, so...

He didn't want to be attacked by vines, but considering how much pain he'd endured already, the risk was kind of mood. Anyway, he was still kinda pissed. Whatever. Let the vines come at him, he didn't even care. He'd bite them and tear them apart! With large brows furrowed, Reemus let another lusus charge right at him before grabbing the vines, pulling and redirecting the creature, and with another yank, the vine pulled clean off. Success!

Reemus just let out a sigh of relief in response. With some of his negative energy released, he felt a little better.
