Skye chuckled somewhat as Korin offered up an alternative nickname for him. "Kor eh...? Alright." He nodded, though they fell into an awkward silence until he attempted to find ways of keeping their minds and bodies occupied on something other than the cold. Though his idea didn't work as well as he would have hoped, Korin was quick to suggest an alternative; singing. While he liked her idea, Skye wasn't entirely sure if he knew any songs to sing, even though he knew that he really liked music. In spite of his slight uncertainty, when Korin began to sing, Skye found himself singing along, remembering the words as they went.
He really enjoyed the sound of Korin's voice, it was beautiful, and had the weather been less severe, he might have fallen asleep to it. For a while, they sang and held each other arm in arm as they walked, body heat and cheerful singing helping to keep them warm. Skye was happy as a Clamperl, though as the song reached it's end, Korin's voice grew so soft and frail again, and Skye couldn't help but feel a tad melancholy. A somewhat forlorn silence hung over them for a moment as they reveled in the mixture of emotions for a moment, before Korin spoke up again, asking what he thought would happen to them when they got out of the canyon. Skye thought it over for a moment, and admittedly, he had no idea. He wasn't really a pokemon, and he had no memories or any idea where he was. He might've had good navigation skills, but he wasn't that good. He wasn't psychic. "Well... I don't know, we'll just have to cross that bring when we come to it." He said with an encouraging smile. "Let's focus on not freezing to death for right now, okay?" He chuckled, trying to make light of the situation to mask his worry.
However, Skye halted when he heard a low growl, glancing around and taking a protective stance in front of Korin. "Who's there?!" He asked boldly. "I should be asking you the same question! You're in our territory." A Sealeo scooted forward along the ice. "Oh... I'm sorry, we got lost, so we'll just be going then and getting out of your way...." The Sealeo snorted. "Lost or not, trespassing is still trespassing runt!" The Sealeo breathed a warning puff of ice, and Skye's cheeks sparked slightly in anger as he moved himself and Korin out of the way. "Hey! Come on now, I'm not trying to cause any trouble, I just want to get out of here!" Skye could have sworn Sealeo seemed less aggressive from what little he recalled on the pokemon, but that didn't matter now, the pokemon in front of his was clearly angry and not going to leave them alone without a fight.
Skye stepped forwards to take on the challenge, cheeks continuing to spark until they let loose a fairly strong Jolt of electricity, which hit the Sealeo pretty hard, but it recovered quickly, growling in anger and rolling quickly towards Skye, ramming him hard in return. Skye flew back and skid across the ice due to his small size, struggling to his feet and clamoring to get back to Korin. He'd be damned if he left her alone to fight this thing...

❁ ❁【Korin gave a shy smile as Skye seemed to accept her proposal for a nickname to call her by, chuckling a little. That was what friends did, right? Call each other by made-up nicknames and such? She wasn’t sure… about the whole nickname thing or if Skye even considered her a friend, or if she considered Skye a friend… For all she knew, it was probably for the best that she try to not get too emotionally invested, in the event that they might eventually part ways. She frowned slightly at the thought as she glanced around, unsure of what to do or what to even think in this situation. Skye was nice, and he was by far the only friendly individual she had come across thus far in this frozen wasteland… somehow she felt as though she couldn’t bear the idea of leaving him behind and going off on her own… Nonetheless, she was brought out of her thoughts at Skye’s suggestion, which unfortunately was a bust since it seemed neither of their memories were fully intact to be able to recall anything. At least, nothing that weren’t little tidbits and fragments that were undoubtedly attached to some deeper memory that failed to bring anything to light. Korin was quick to come up with another suggestion, thinking that maybe if they sang any songs that they knew, they would be able to distract themselves from the cold long enough to be able to make it out of here alive. However, no sooner than the words left her mouth did she begin to have second thoughts. She wasn’t sure if she even knew any songs, or if Skye knew any songs for that matter, or if she even liked music… Her doubts were dashed away, thankfully, as a familiar tune began to play faintly in the distant fathoms of her mind, the lovely sound of piano keys echoing to the forefront as she began to sing along to it as easily as clockwork. What surprised her even more than the fact that she was remembering something she never even thought she remembered, was when Skye joined in and sang along with her. It felt rather… strange, but at the same time Korin felt a bit relieved that he knew it as well as they harmonized with each other. They sang together as they walked, arm in arm, braving their way upwards through the flurries and frigid breeze. Korin hardly even noticed the bite of the cold, so enraptured in their song that just their merriment and body heat kept her warm. However, as the song reached its end, Korin’s voice grew soft once more as her thoughts swarmed her with questions wanting to be answered. A melancholy silence settled into the void left by the cheerful emotions they had experienced earlier, before she gathered up the nerves to speak up again, asking what would happen to them if they did make it out of here. Where would they even go? As far as she was concerned, she wasn’t even a real Pokemon… She couldn’t even remember most of who she even was apart from her name and a few other things. She felt just like she had that one day… being in a strange place, surrounded by people she didn’t know, not a familiar face in sight… and to be honest, she was terrified. A part of her wanted to just let Skye go and continue foraging forward on her own to figure out this dilemma she was in… and yet, she didn’t know what she would do without him… She was just so terribly conflicted, her mind was a mixture of thoughts and voices, each of them telling her to do the opposite of what the others were saying. Korin shook her head to clear them away, returning her gaze to Skye as he said that he wasn’t sure what would happen, but they would cross that bridge when they got to it. She nodded in return, giving a small smile as he said that they should just try to focus on not freezing to death for the time being. ” Y-Yeah, right…” she agreed, pressing closer to Skye as the chill of the wind nipped at her exposed skin and wings. She had been so engrossed in their merriment earlier, and now it felt like the cold was hitting her like a bag of bricks again. She hoped that they would find a way out here soon… she was certainly no fan of freezing to death either. Her ears flicked up in alarm as she detected sounds from nearby, what sounded like an angry dog growling at them or something of the like. Oh no… please don’t let it be another Steelix… Korin turned around to face the direction of the noise as Skye stepped in front of her, calling out to whoever was there as they warily watched the icy terrain nearby. A Sealeo was making its way towards them, accusing them of trespassing on their territory as it glared at them. Skye apologized, saying that they were lost and that they’d be on their way. ” P-Please, sir, we’re just passing through… We don’t want any trouble,” Korin pitched in as she raised her little hook-claws in defense, hoping that they could reason their way through this and avoid a conflict. The Sealeo thought otherwise, however, as it snorted and insisted that trespassing was still trespassing, regardless of if they were lost or not. Korin frowned at that, it was clear that the big seal Pokemon wasn’t going to let them by without a fight… and just when she had hoped they would’ve been able to elude combat altogether. Skye’s cheeks began to spark as he shouted at the Sealeo, saying that they weren’t trying to cause trouble and that they just wanted out of this place. But the Sealeo remained unswayed, and got into an aggressive stance for a battle. Skye stepped forward, his cheeks sparking out of anger and determination as he let loose a decently strong bolt of electricity at the seal Pokemon. Korin really didn’t want to fight this other Pokemon… but it had made it clear that it couldn’t be reasoned with, and she wasn’t going to abandon Skye to fight this new foe by himself. The Sealeo took the Thundershock pretty hard, but was able to recover as it rolled into him in retaliation. Korin winced as the blow connected and sent Skye skidding across the ice, that looked like it had really hurt… Sealeo was a Water and Ice-type, right? If that was the case, this was not a very ideal matchup for her… but she would do everything she can to help Skye against this thing. Clutching the scarf close to her, she fluttered her wings enough to get her a few inches off the ground so that she wouldn’t slip on the ice. Narrowing her eyes at the Sealeo, she gathered up a fair amount of strength in her hovering flight to launch herself at the big seal Pokemon. Opening her mouth, she sank her little fangs into the Sealeo’s skin, releasing and using the leftover momentum to wheel herself around back towards the Pichu. ” Are you alright?” she asked, bringing her hovering flight to a stop beside him, reaching out to help him up as she kept an eye on their opponent.】❁ ❁
