Tails sighed, knowing she'd respond like that. And truthfully he didn't trust D.L either. But when you pretty much have no other options, he was willing to take a risk. "I never said I trusted him but..." He looks serious at May as he spoke these words. "It's like what Sonic use to say though... You gotta give people a chance, and let them redeem themselves." Tails said but his expression changed as he mentioned Sonic, and he looked pretty depressed about it still. He blamed himself for failing to help his best friend.
Though Tails snapped out of his depression quickly, trying to hide it from showing. "Besides... we really have no choice but to get more help... we are already on thin ice as it is. And Eggman probably knows they are here somewhere in this area, we are already in danger as it is!" Tails snapped and looked actually worried too, but really he had no choice. He wanted to protect everyone, but he couldn't do it alone.
Tails growls though as he mentions one last thing. "Although if D.L tries anything that could cause people harm, anything at all that makes me regret giving him a chance. I'll have no choice but to use the defenses I prepared for his end." He spoke with a serious glare, it was surprising to see Tails speak like that. But he was still pretty much on edge, and there was a good reason for that. He wanted to keep people safe, even if he had to end D.L's life to save everyone. "I already prepared for this, when the day would come... if D.L were to come here."
Nina looks at May and Tails, but was surprised that Tails prepared for D.L. Though she wasn't sure what he'd use to stop D.L, but she hoped it wouldn't come to that.
D will have to be very cautious on his actions from now on, and it showed that Nina was worried for D.L a bit. He never seemed to get any trust from other people, and made her feel bad for him even Eragon. Though she trusted them, so she couldn't understand why they couldn't look past the old times. When they had no control over their actions.
((no one mentioned that Sonic was alive to Tails, I'm pretty sure. I even checked back, so Tails still thinks his friend is either dead or a slave)) |

((Sorry for the delay, my computer wouldn't let me log into Gaia for some reason. Have the others still not come back yet?))
The blue haired doe calmed down a little bit when she heard Tails explain that he had defenses in place, should anything happen. May took a deep breath to calm down. "Alright." She sighed, but she was still uneasy about the situation. The mention of Sonic made May's heart feel heavy in her chest. She had not known the blue blur for very long, but she didn't have to. The stories she heard growing up told of Sonic's bravery and charisma. May looked down at the floor as she thought of the freedom fighters' slow and tragic demise. "I miss them..." She murmured quietly to herself.
Seeing Nina worry, Eragon put his hand on her shoulder. He also worried slightly about D.L. At the same time however, Eragon knew that D.L had changed. It would only be if D lost his temper, that Tails might have to do something, but Eragon hoped that it wouldn't happen. After Tails finished talking, Eragon spoke up. "Hey Tails, we heard from Nova a while back that Sonic might still be alive" Eragon paused a moment before continuing. He knew this would be a shock to the fox and his friends. "Nova told us that he used to sneak down to Sonic's chamber and talk with him. I think there might be a good chance that he is still alive." The dragon looked to Nina for re-assurement. He knew there was a chance that they wouldn't believe him. He hadn't exactly earned their trust yet. |

((I apologize for the delay in my post. I had family matters to attend to, plus work and life weren't giving me a chance to post))
Balto, Umber, and Kilala continued to sit at the ramen stand while the chef and his assistant went to work. The three of them never ordered anything exactly, but the red panda was determined to make the finest bowls of his career to woo the wolf siblings into having a bite. They awed at his strength as he kneaded the noodles by hand, and swooned over the delightful smell of the spices and herbs used to season the meat and the broth.
Before long, three large bowls were slid in front of the customers. The chef took off his apron and clapped his hands together.
"Hurry! Try it before it gets cold!" he said eagerly. Umber leaned back and watched the two wolves with a grin.
"Well don't keep the man in suspense. Give his meal a bite." he encouraged. Balto and his sister exchanged glances before inhaling the wonderful aroma from the dish. In response, their stomachs growled in synch; not being able to wait any longer. The two of them grabbed their chopsticks and proceeded to eat the noodles.
Once the flavor of the dish hit their tongues, both wolves let out a howl that echoed for miles within the underground city.
"This is so good!" Kilala exclaimed, "How have we gone our whole lives without trying any of this food?!"
"I know right?" Balto chimed in. "The taste of the noodles combined with the meat and the broth are to die for!"
Umber could only chuckle as he watched the two of them eat. He then looked at his own bowl and split apart his chopsticks.
"I better go ahead and eat too. Before my bowl disappears."
Before he could dine with his comrades, he heard a voice come up behind them. Turning around, he saw that it was Iblis. She asked them if they had seen D.L. anywhere. While Balto was too busy stuffing his face, Umber responded to her question.
"D.L.? Hmm....sorry, I can't say I have. Last I saw him, he was hanging around the hotel building. He pointed me in the direction of the hospital where my sister was and I bailed."
Balto's ear twitched as he heard what Umber had said. He finished his bowl and sat up towards him.

((Their pretty busy but Zophis posted! :3 Wb and alright Zoph, we were just worried a bit. Glad to see ya back in the rp again))
Nina nods slightly and speaks up after Eragon. "It's true, and Nova had known to look in knothole because Sonic had told him to look there. Saying that he'll find help here, and should escape the empire as soon as possible." she said as she remembered Nova's words. Though after just mentioning Nova's name, he seemed to have over heard and popped his head around the corner shyly. TD though stayed where he was in the other room, but had his attention over at Nova. It was easy to tell that Nova was a very shy and quiet kid at times.
"It was because of Sonic that I decided to run away... I was scared though... because I was basically by myself, until I found D.L and the others." Nova shyly moves away from the corner but quickly hid behind Eragon's leg. Peeking shyly at Tails' friend May. He wasn't the bravest with new faces, so he often got really shy. "He told me knothole was the place I needed to go... for help... Telling me it wasn't safe for me to stay there any longer, since I told him... Dr Eggman was trying to teach me to hurt people..."
Nova hid his face, because he was starting to tear up. "I wish I could of took Sonic with me, but the security was tight and we would of been both caught..." He sniffles as he says that. "Eggman doesn't know that I visited him often, and brought him food and water... but... now that Kiro asked where Sonic is... I'm not sure how long we got but he basically dared us to come, if we want to rescue Sonic." Nova sadly gazed at the ground, his tears already leaking from his eyes. It was pretty much bothering him still. "Sonic is still in chains though, deep in the dungeon... we gotta save him."
Tails looked at them in disbelief at first, since he didn't trust Eragon's words. But once Nina then Nova started to tell the whole thing, he was pretty much in shock to hear this news. This whole time he thought Sonic was killed or worse, used as a slave til he can't walk. Just thinking of what Eggman would do in torturing his friend made him ill.
Though just knowing Sonic was kept in the prison cells for five years, it made him feel even more ill and saddened. Although knowing he was still alive, made Tails' spirit rise. He won't stop at nothing now that he knows Sonic is indeed alive. "I'll make sure Sonic comes back safe..." Tails said but before he could even move back over to the other room, where his working desk is. Tails almost loses balance, feeling dizzy spells hitting him now. Since he hasn't had any rest for along while, he had to stay still for a moment while he recomposed himself. Rubbing his forehead gently. "agh..." |

((No problem! I've been busy as well with all my college classes. ))
Ibis gave a nod to Umber. "Alright, thanks anyway" and she started back towards Tails' Lab. The she-wolf wondered if her friend was okay. She wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but the look on Lite's rings worried her. Iblis had never seen them look that way before in all the years she knew Lite. The city wasn't too big, so Iblis knew that D.L couldn't be far.
Eragon put his hand on Nova's back to comfort him as he hid behind him. "Don't worry Nova. There's nothing you could've done. We're not mad at you. It was smart to do as Sonic told you. And now, you can help us save him" Eragon said with a smile. He hated to see Nova so heartbroken, and knew that the kid had been through a lot. This whole situation was tough for a kid to handle and process, let alone survive on his own. So Eragon tried to cheer him up. When Tails stumbled, Eragon tried to reach for him but May got to him first and glared back at Eragon. May clearly wasn't going to let him near Tails as long as she's around.
Hearing that Sonic was alive brightened her face noticeably, but it quickly turned to suspicion as she questioned Eragon's reliability. She only considered it a possible truth when Nina spoke of it too. May knew that there was still a chance that, since Nova left, Eggman could kill Sonic by the time they get there. But she was not about to voice such a thought with Tails in the room. She knew that Tails already felt a lot of guilt about Sonic, and she wasn't about to depress her friend more. May's eyes narrowed though as a small child entered the room. This is Nova? Eggman's secret project? He's just a kid! May analyzed the child in her thoughts. The fact that Nova was so young caught her completely off guard. Seemed too sensitive to hurt a fly. Then again, he was raised by Eggman. There's no telling what Nova could be capable of. However, seeing the kid look at her with anxious eyes, and then tear up when he mentioned Sonic, May sighed and looked back at Nova with a softer expression. She wanted to speak to the kid, but Tails nearly collapsed. "Tails! Please! Just sleep. Your body can't take this. Just sleep for a little bit?" May pleaded as she held onto Tails with her outreached hand. |

Nova started to calm down a bit, but he was still sniffling silently. He really wish he could of done something, but like Eragon said... there was nothing he could do. It was better that he did what Sonic told him to do, by running away from Eggman's Empire or Nova would of really been in trouble.
When Tails almost collapsed though, Nova gazed towards him with a bit of worry.
Tails sighs deeply as his dizzy spell finally subsided, feeling relieved he didn't pass out in front of everyone. Although it was a close one, and he felt bad when he made May worry about him.
When May pleaded for him to go rest, Tails finally gives up on working for now. "Alright... I'll go get some shut eye for a bit, but only for a bit. I still got a lot of work to do, but for my own health I'll worry about it later..." Tails said but remembers something very important he needed to mention. "Oh! May... Please be careful when your around D.L... I'm not even sure if I should rest yet." Tails did indeed look worried, but just because of May's unbalanced powers and her health alone. He wasn't sure what would happen fully, but he would rather be there to help May if something did happen.
Nina looks at Tails with a curious look, though she was confused why he didn't want to rest yet. She did know that he was very concerned for May, but she wasn't sure why he was so worried about her. She guessed May was just very important to him like a sister. Although Tails really did need rest. "I'll make sure nothing bad happens, Tails. I'm use to guarding as a soldier anyway." she said as she looked at Tails. "If anything is needed, I'll call you as soon as possible." she spoke truthfully, even though May did try to attack Eragon earlier. She won't hold any grudge against her, she just hoped May and D.L won't start anything.
Tails sighs and rubs the back of his head, looking quite tired already from just standing there. He guessed he'd go rest and let the others keep guard while he sleeps. "Alright... I'll go rest, just try to be careful and try not to start anything. I don't want anyone starting a fight, alright?" Tails said with a serious tone, before he headed for his bedroom.
Carefully going upstairs so he doesn't lose his balance again, then closes his bedroom door as he walks in. Leaving the others to deal with the rest for now.

Lite was still sitting on a chair in the corner of the lab, near where TD was in the working area. Although he was pretty much resting, with his elbow on his lap while supporting his head with his hand. His eyes closed while he was taking a short nap for a bit.

As they both were walking back towards Tails' lab, Eoduun could tell his energy was restoring a bit and it felt calming. He guessed Lite was already asleep, because it usually felt like that while Lite rested. Although since Eoduun is a formed shadow, he didn't really need to sleep. It was mostly when he was in control, that he would need to rest.
Though as he heard Kiro speak up, he snapped out of his thoughts and gazed at him slightly. "I'm sure Tails will, since he seems well prepared as it is..." he said and wondered if Tails was prepared this whole time, and had planned ahead. Something also felt fishy, like Tails knew he'd come to this underground city. It just felt odd and he had a feeling Tails didn't trust him, he knew that two tailed fox wouldn't after what he did. Even if he did accept him into the group.
He had a feeling Tails would strike if he went out of line, he just hoped his powers don't cause any harm or accidents. Because he knows it can sometimes be uncontrollable. That is what Eoduun is mostly worried about, losing himself to his own power.
When they recently passed by a few familiar buildings, like the hotel and street houses. Eoduun looked at Kiro slightly and noticed the distraught look in his eyes, though he didn't say anything about it or at least pretended he didn't see. Paying attention ahead, that is until Kiro spoke up. Though Eoduun kept his serious expression this whole time, but maybe Kiro caught him thinking deeply in silence.
"I'll be fine... I'm just concerned about what I should say to Nova, since it'll be hard to explain to a child why he won't be able to see me for awhile." he said and looked ahead as they continued to walked. Nova will indeed be upset, and possibly even more upset once D becomes a shadow. Nova won't be able to see him for along while.
Though it seemed Eoduun wasn't finished talking as he suddenly asked him a question. "Though, I should be asking you... you seemed pretty distracted with your thoughts. Something on your mind?" he said and gazed at Kiro like he knew something was up, he was just waiting for the right time to ask.

"I wouldnt worry too hard about him. I'm sure it'll be tough at first, but positive he'll pull through. He's pretty tough. And besides, he's made plenty of friends....", his tone wavered at the end. As if the very word, 'friend', was almost like a taboo for him. Finally it caught up to him after everything he went through. After every moment he spent with D, Nina, Iblis, TD, Eragon, Alice, and the others who he stayed with. Can he ever be able to make friends again?
Just then Eoduun spoke up. Out of the blue, he asked what was on the young hedgehog's mind. All Kiro could bring himself to answer was. "There's always something on my mind....I mean I got a busy schedule ahead of me". He sighed and made a fake smirk. It was quite a unique the young hedgehog went through this past long week he's been here. When he first met the others, Kiro was always on edge and constantly jumpy on the trigger. Never wanting to talk to anyone, distant, and irritated almost every moment. Always having trouble interacting with others because how long he's been alone. He desperately just wanted to leave and not get involved in their affairs. But little by little as the others interacted and fought by his side, Kiro started to calm down. Almost as if this whole experience wasn't really a struggle for survival. But more like a rehabilitation. When he thought about, this experience was one of the best times he had in a long time.
But every after all they went through, Kiro still has many issues bottled up inside. Issues they may take a long time to straighten out. Possibly never. Issues he wishes to face alone. It's ironic that Kiro just helped open up Eoduun's shell a little after realizing just how much he valued everyone including him. Now Kiro has to keep himself distracted as much as he can to keep his problems from weighing him down and the others. But still...
"To be honest...I don't know.", Kiro finally spoke up after a long moment of silence. " I mean yeah, I'm sure you can all tell I'm always focusing on so many things on my mind. And i bet it makes you all suspicious of me. I can't blame you. But I assure you, I wont let any of them weigh you all down in any way.", Kiro stated in a faint solemn tone. "Right now, I've got one thing bothering me....", he stopped in the middle of the street for a moment with his face hidden under his bangs.
"I know he may not be the same. But to me, he's still the same in my own way. Tails.....what can I say to him?", he asked. |

((I fixed my post, didn't seem good enough and kinda lazy in away. So I updated it))
Eoduun listened to his words as Kiro explained that Nova would be alright. It was true that he had many friends and he was stronger then he looked, but he hoped the kid would forgive him for disappearing. Though he knows he would understand someday, once it's explained. That's why he needed to tell Nova as soon as he can, on what he really is and why he'll be gone for along while.
When Kiro answered about his concerned question, Eoduun looked at him seriously as he explained having a lot on his mind and that everyone probably thought suspiciously of him because of it. Though Eoduun didn't really think it was that suspicious, he also had a lot on his mind and would usually stay silent with the others. So he understood why Kiro wouldn't talk about most of the things on his mind, besides he seemed like hes been through a lot of hardships in life. He couldn't blame him for that.
Though as soon as Kiro stopped in the middle of the street, Eoduun noticed a little after and also stopped walking. Looking back at Kiro a few feet from him, as Kiro spoke about what he should say.
Truthfully Eoduun wasn't sure what to tell him. He has never given people advice or any sort of support before, it was new to him. He mostly just listened to people as they spoke their troubles away, but in this case it seemed Kiro needed more then just a listener. He needed words of support, and it was obvious.
Eoduun sighs and looks away slightly, thinking deeply Kiro's words before he says anything. Suddenly D looks back at Kiro with slight concern but still a serious expression. "It may not do any good to interfere with different timelines or dimensions... but I think you should tell Tails what you really want to say to him."
Eoduun then adds "If not... you can always keep silent about it, but it'll only make it worse on yourself." he spoke truthfully, and really he knew how true that was.
For years he had never talked about anything that was on his mind, always keeping it inside and not telling a soul. It really started to eat away at him, and even though he had let it slip through and told Kiro by accident. He still fault so... lost in away, like he had no one he could fully trust.
Eoduun shook his head though a bit, trying not to think negatively. He had to stop thinking this way or he might do something he regrets. Still the thought of leaving everything behind, always came to mind here and again, not wanting to risk being betrayed or harmed again. He truly never wanted anyone to get close to him because of that, and the fear still lingered deep within. |

As soon as Tails left to his bedroom, Nina looked at Nova and pats the top of his head gently while she stood beside him and Eragon. Smiling at the little guy that still stayed by Eragon. "I guess we'll be watching over you then, until D.L comes back." she said and remembers how much Nova kept following D.L around, like a kid staying by his father. It was adorable in away, plus surprising still on how Nova got so attached to him. She guessed Nova started feeling safe around D.L after he first tried to comfort him.
Nova nods shyly and looks up at Nina, flattening his ears slightly. "Okay..." He still felt a bit shy around Eragon and Nina, but he defiantly was showing how comfortable he was getting now around them.
Nova then remembers he left TD in the other room, which probably left the poor dog worried. Just as he thought, TD slowly and gently came into the room. Seeming to be worried for the kid's safety. "TD will protect Nova..."
Sighing Nova moves over to TD to stop him from moving, since he has stitches and shouldn't move around too much. "TD... you shouldn't be moving around, your stitches will come lose." |

Eoduun sighs and crosses his arms, seeming to be back to his normal self again. Like he normally is, but he was just hiding most of his thoughts away. Eoduun didn't fully know what to do to help Kiro with the situation he is in.
Although his thoughts got interrupted again when Kiro spoke up, and he couldn't help but sigh and agree with him. "Agreed... but don't take this out too badly, I'm just not good with giving people emotional advice." He said as he was referring to their talk earlier. "Maybe you'll have to figure this out on your own, but if you need someone to listen... I'm still here to give some support." He said truthfully, and looked away a bit. Sorta showing that he has considered him somewhat as a friend already.
When Kiro suddenly suggested getting something to eat though, so they could refresh themselves. Eoduun smirked a little as he noticed Kiro mention the ramen stand, plus Kiro's expression was kinda funny a little. "You aren't crazy..." As Eoduun spoke, he also pointed towards the ramen stand to prove his point. He then lowers his hand back to his side, and starts walking towards there.
Although he stops and looks at Kiro slightly. "Well... are you just going to stand there drooling? or are you coming?" he said as smirked slightly again. |
