((It's ok, I figured everyone was busy. xD although I'm glad you're back, I also hope the others come back too. This story is getting really good, and interesting to rp in.))
Nina looks back a bit, when she noticed Eragon looking somewhere else for a moment. She then looks back at Eragon and laughs a bit. "Hmmm... but we haven't done that in along time." she said and thought deeply about it as she looked towards Iblis slightly, seeming deep in thought now. Suddenly a thought came to her and she smirked a little. "You know how she has feelings for both, Lite and D? I'm pretty sure Lite doesn't feel the same way, right? Maybe we should knock some sense into her... she has been acting strange anyway about those two."
Truthfully, she felt bad for D.L and because he was basically a shadow, attached to the same body as Lite. But it was even more sad that Iblis would probably ruin the relationship, just because of one problem D has. Though she still remembers D.L mentioning that (back before Dez the crazy bat attacked above ground) he could separate himself from Lite for good, with the seven chaos emeralds. Before Iblis started getting all depressed about choosing between the two.
Nina still was curious about that really, did D.L know about this because Lite wasn't really apart of him? Did some kind of accident happen to cause them to fuse in the past? It would make sense though, if she knew more about this mystery. |

Nina nods slightly as they continued to stalk Iblis, but she was only mentioning D and Lite because she felt bad for a sertin dark hedgehog. Though she still wondered what D.L's past was like, and how he got into the same body as Lite? How did they end up fusing, and what went wrong? It seems like Lite didn't even know, because he never mentions anything about D.L's past. Or maybe he just forgot about it? Whatever the case is, Nina will have to ask D.L later, if he even tells her.
Snapping out of her thoughts, she noticed Iblis stopped at the edge of the cave wall. This might be a good chance now, since shes cornered. "We got this now, since shes cornered... we can block her from trying to run, but if she tries to run past us somehow. I want you to catch her, but don't harm her. We just going to try to see why shes so sulky, though I have a feeling I know what it's about." she spoke silently, only so Eragon could hear her. "I'm curious why shes avoiding Lite and D really... probably a stupid reason, so that's why I want to knock some sense into her."
Nina kept close to Eragon, but walked towards the other side to block Iblis from running as they got closer.
Although unknown to them, they were being watched by someone in the shadows. The robotic Bulldog from earlier, watching silently in the ally way. Figuring something was up, when he saw two citizens stalking a she-wolf. Though he kept silent for now and watched what Nina and Eragon were doing.

((Good point. I was just trying to say that the party that occured there earlier had ended, so it wasn't crowded there anymore. Sry for the confusion sweatdrop ))
Iblis' ear twitched and she looked over her shoulder to see Nina and Eragon looking up at her. "Oh come on, not those two" Iblis thought to herself with a disappointed sigh. She was old enough now to know that in a public place like this, Eragon couldn't get away with anything too rash. Besides, it seemed like he and Nina had gotten awfully close lately. The light blue she-wolf turned her back to them. "I'm not in the mood guys. Harass me another day, will ya?" Iblis called to them dismissively over her shoulder. She sat with her legs crossed and her forehead against the cold cave wall.
Eragon nodded to Nina, and waited for her to make the first move. However, Iblis had noticed them faster than he had anticipated. "Look, we just got some questions for you" but Iblis didn't reply. The fact that Iblis was blowing then off irritated Eragon. He pointed his fingures at her with his thumbs cocked up like a gun. His hands glowed faintly with telekinetic energy. He had been hoping for a more entertaining reaction, and was willing to provoke her to get it. Iblis was surely pestering him. "Looks like she's distancing herself again. This might get annoying" he grumbled to Nina. |

In another section of the city, Balto sat on the ground with his legs crossed and eyes closed. He seemed to be enjoying the silence that surrounded him, as one could hear a pin drop in this particular area.
Suddenly, his ears began to twitch. Small, quick footsteps started echoing around him. The wolf could tell that someone was trying to cover their tracks as they approached him. Despite all of this, he didn't move from his position. He took a sniff of the air and could tell they were getting close. Whoever his assailant was, they had been found out. All that was left was to accurately pinpoint which direction they were coming from. The footsteps and scent seem to dance all around him, as if the assailant was trying to throw him off before delivering the fatal strike. But Balto remained completely still.
"You're approaching my right side at 5 o'clock." he said as he quickly opened his eyes and spun around to meet his attacker. True enough, someone was trying to come at him from that direction. Only it wasn't his attacker, but his little sister. Kilala stopped in her tracks as she eyed her brother.
"Oh shoot! I thought I got you this time." she said with a small pout. Balto just laughed and shook his head.
"It was a good strategy, but you're still much too loud. And your attack pattern is pretty predictable."
"But I suggest you get moving. After all, the game isn't over until the assassin is caught!"
The wolf lunged for his sister, but she quickly slipped away and took off toward a nest of buildings. She ran as hard as she could, jumping off building walls and knocking over trash cans to block her brother.
"Hahaha! You can't catch me, Balto!" she said with a confidant smirk. One look over shoulder changed her tune, as Balto was much closer than she would've liked.
s**t! I gotta kick this into high gear!
The snow-colored wolf then got down on all fours and made an impressive dash ahead. She took another look behind her and saw that her brother had faded into the distance.
"Awesome! I'm home fre-"
Kilala was so busy with running away from Balto that she collided with an unsuspecting Umber. The impact forced them both to the ground rather hard.
"Ow! Hey watch it, kid!" He snarled as he got to his feet.
"I-I'm sorry," Kilala said as she rubbed her head. "I wasn't watching were I was going and-"
"Yeah, that much is obvious." he interjected. "So what's the rush? Why were you running like that, huh?"
"I...I was playing with my brother." the she-wolf explained as she rose off the ground. Moments later, Balto arrived on the scene to find the two of them.
"Phew! I haven't ran that hard in ages." he said as he wiped the sweat from his face. "I think it's safe to say that you got away from me, Kilala. Well done."
The she-wolf quickly ran behind her brother to avoid the agitated gaze of Umber. Balto saw this and connected the pieces on his own.
"Did she run into you? I'm sorry, Umber. We were just playing and it got a little out of hand."
Umber watched the pair before sighing and shoving his hands in his pockets.
"Aw, forget it. Just watch where you're goin' next time." he said as he resumed his walk. Before he got too far, Balto ran behind him and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Actually, we were just on our way to get something to eat. Why don't you join us?"
"Uh....I don't know," Umber muttered. "Shouldn't be spending time with you sister? I mean, we still got a whole war to fight and stuff."
"True, but we should be making the most of the time we have left," Balto added. "Besides, food tastes better when you're eating amongst friends."
The black dog went to say something but his eyes caught the puppy-dog gaze of Kilala. He sighed again before looking at her brother.
"Fine." he grunted. "Let's go."
(I think this post is a pretty good restart in using my characters. Glad to be back, everyone ^^) |

((It's okay, Zora! I wasn't too confused about that. Also nice to see you back Zophis!))
"Eragon... I know shes being annoying, but we can't do anything if she is or not. Shes always been annoying." Nina spoke up towards Eragon, before he did anything rash. She didn't want to get in trouble by hurting Iblis, she knew that there might be patrols or cameras all around this city.
She sighs and straight up tells her the reason for being here. "We aren't here to harass you actually... truthfully I've grown out of it. But what I'm really here for is because of what's been happening between you, Lite and D.L... mostly because you've been acting really strange ever since Lite came back." Nina paused for a moment before continuing, mostly to let Iblis sink it in before Nina goes into the serious subject.
"And truthfully, I already know why... It's cause you still have feelings for Lite, and don't want to harm him by telling him the truth. Plus you're unsure who to choose, but did you even know if Lite likes you or not? What if he just thinks of you as a best friend?" Nina said but sighs a bit. "Anyway, it's something you have to find out yourself... though holding it back and avoiding it will just make it worse. We are going to war soon, Iblis.. maybe you won't get the second chance like this again." Nina looked a bit sad, as she remembered how she almost lost Eragon. "Besides... I think both of them have been left in the dark long enough. D.L for sure doesn't deserve this, he already looks shaken up as it is... and I feel bad for him. I feel bad that he has someone like you who doesn't even try to keep him from going back into his nightmare-ish memories. Who let someone else deal with it, but didn't bother to think about his story and how he will feel being avoided... though I bet hes use to being avoided." Nina spoke coldly towards Iblis, seeming angry now but mostly because of her stubbornness for not caring about how it affects D.L the most.
Bulldog started to creep closer, but kept hidden. He was ready to step in if it got serious.
((Nina got really serious now o.o; ))

Sazie was walking to the food restaurants nearby, mostly because Zhai Arch himself invited her to eat with him alone. She felt a bit overly shy and it showed a bit as she noticed him at a table waving to her, sitting outside the Sushiam (Sushi!) restaurant. Though She shyly walked over, she sat down as soon as she reached the extra chair beside him. "Hii... Z-Zhai, I hope I wasn't too late getting here." she shyly spoke up.
Zhai smiled and shook his head slightly. "Nah, you weren't late at all. I just got here a few moments before you did." he said truthfully, then looked at the menu but put it between her and him. "So... what do you feel like eating?"
Sazie smiled warmly and looks at the menu. "Defiantly a dragon roll and the spicy rolls, if you can handle the spicy food. Do you want to try them too?" she asked and Zhai nods to that. "Okay! We'll get that then~"
Zhai gazed at Sazie slightly as she ordered her favorite spicy foods and sushi, Smiling warmly in a calming matter. He loved how Sazie seemed to brighten up so much when they came to buy sushi or seafood meals. It was adorable to him. |

((Cool, welcome back Zophis! I wonder if Shadow the wolf child is still around... Btw Zophis, that post is just too cute! Gosh, it kinda sounds like everyone's preparing to die... What a somber day for them all.))
Iblis' face turned bright pink in embarrassment when Nina called her out and read her like an open book. The she-wolf hoped that she wasn't that easy to read. Iblis could feel the weight of her shame getting heavier and heavier with each on Nina's words as she reminded her of their grim situation. Nina was right, and the realization of her neglect pained Iblis deeply. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause trouble... Would leaving make things better?" Iblis asked gloomily as she turned around and sat facing them. Her face still had a shameful hint of pink as she looked down at her feet.
Eragon sighed and put his hands down. Nina's words were harsh, but true. When Iblis finally spoke, Eragon couldn't believe the idiocy that came out of her mouth. "No! You idiot! That contradicts everything Nina just said! Were you even listening?! And don't consider death either. That would only make Lite and D.L feel worse" he barked in frustration, but took a breath to calm down before continuing. "You need to go talk to them. Both of them. And get this sorted out. It's not good for soldiers to have crap like this cluttering their minds. It distracts them on the battlefield. Get your act together, Iblis. For everyone's sake." He said sternly and started to walk away. "If I catch you running away, I will hunt you down and knock some sense into you. But I hope I won't have to..." The last bit was muttered under his breath. |

((Haha, he's adorable and I love him! I just imagine these little glowing eyes peering out of the darkness, and then slowly fading into the dark. Kinda makes me think of the youtube vid of the stalking cat with jaws music from a long time ago. xd ))
Iblis cringed at Eragon's outburst. Her ears fell flat against her head. She did not respond to the two, and watched them leave. Once they were out of sight, Iblis climbed down off the ledge. Looking around at the underground city, she took a deep breath and set off to find Lite and D.L. She hoped to find Lite first, since he was always the kinder of the two. To her luck, she saw Lite just outside Tail's lab. She swallowed hard and tried to keep the lump in her throat at bay. "H-Hey, uhm, Lite..." she called out shyly as she approached the hedgehog. "I'm sorry I ran earlier... I-I'm sure you have some questions..." Iblis apologized as her voice started to trail off.
Eragon shook his head. "Yeah, I know right? I'm getting tired of her childish behavior... But we both know it's because she lacks proper social skills" he replied with a roll of his eyes. Eragon took a seat on a nearby bench and rested his head on one hand. "What am I going to do with her? She's been a handful since the day I met her. I've always had to keep an eye on her. I won't always be there to save that sorry furbag" he said with a heavy sigh. He sounded like an older brother when he talked about Iblis. And this even surprised himself a bit. Could he have felt this way about her all along? |

"oh, hey..." Lite seemed a bit dazed but he covered it up pretty well, so he was glad Iblis didn't notice. Although he was wondering why Iblis decided to not avoid him anymore, but he decided to ignore that. "It's okay... though I don't know why you did, I wasn't angry at you or anything." he said and smiles a little, but he soon looked concerned. "The only question I'd have is why your avoiding talking to me? Did I do something wrong? Or is something else bugging you?"
Nina smirks at Eragon, as she sits down beside him. "You sound like an older brother, worried about his younger sister." she said and giggles a bit. "I don't think you'll have to anymore, D.L seems to be doing most of the saving lately. Even though sometimes she gets on his nerves I bet, he still seems to be more friendly towards her." She said and smiles warmly at the thought. "I admit, I'm hoping D.L will get together with Iblis someday... maybe when the war is over, D.L can find away to separate himself from Lite. I think that's the only reason why Iblis is keeping her distance from him... because hes sharing the same body as Lite... I'm still not sure how D ended up in that situation." |

"No, no, no! You didn't do anything wrong! I just... You've been gone so long... I didn't think I'd ever see you again... And, now things are... awkward. I just needed some time to sort some things out in my head" Iblis explained as she turned her glance to the ground. She scratched the back of her head nervously. "We're still friends... Right?" she managed to ask after a pause. The memories of the day Lite was taken trickled into her head one by one. Memories of the agony that she felt reoccurred too. Her eyes watered slightly. "I...I've missed you..." she finally said through her sniffles as she put her head on Lite's chest. She couldn't help herself. Her best friend was finally back, and she had missed him terribly. As she looked down however, Iblis noticed the rings around Lite's wrists.
Eragon groaned in disgust at Nina's "big brother" comment. "Ugh... Please never say that again. That's such a weird position for me to be in." The dragon managed a chuckle when Nina mentioned that D.L was taking care of Iblis now. He could imagine D.L saving Iblis. And then Iblis throwing a rock at him, claiming that she had the situation under control. Even though they both new that she didn't. "I can almost see his irritated 'I want to be mad at you, but I just can't' expression on his face" he smirked in amusement. The two of them together, D.L and Iblis, were quite the entertaining pair at times. Eragon knew that Nina certainly got a kick out of watching them. "It would make sense that Iblis would avoid them for that reason. I mean, could you imagine what it must be like to feel everything that someone else is feeling? And have it all be out of your control? If Iblis held one of their hands, the other would surely feel it and know. That must be so strange." He elaborated aloud. The situation truly perplexed him. He let out a small sigh when Nina brought up D.L's past and looked up at the city lights. "D.L has always been a mystery to us all. It's a miracle that Iblis can even get through to him. He and Lite certainly don't get along, that's for sure. But their past is none of my business, as curious as it is to me." |

((I hope xXShadow the Wolf ChildXx gets back soon, there is alot going on o.o and I might have to do something get the situation unstuck, if it comes to D.L))
Lite smiled warmly at her, it was good to know he didn't do anything to cause her to feel uncomfortable. When Iblis asked if they were still friends, his smile didn't change, but he seemed even more happy to know she still considered him a friend. "Yes, of course we are." he responded back, but was a little surprised when she rested her head on his chest.
"I missed you too, Iblis" Lite smiled a little at that, giving her a gentle pat on her head with one of his hands. "I'm sorry that I worried you all these years..." Though he noticed her looking at his rings around his wrists, they were still glowing red but recently showed strange darker markings on them. Lite frowned as he stared at his wrist. "Looks like D.L is pretty upset about something... normally I can only tell by the rings by energy signals, red glow usually isn't good but these markings are new..."
Lite still felt a bit dizzy but it was slightly going away, which was a relief at least. Still it was worrisome that D.L was channeling all this negative energy, wasn't even from Lite. It was just D.L causing this. "Iblis, if your thinking of talking to D.L... I think it'd be best to wait until he cools down..." he said as he looked at Iblis with concern, he didn't want her to get hurt or scared by D.L's unbalanced emotions. Something was defiantly up with him, but he didn't want D taking it out on Iblis.
Nina giggles at Eragon's reaction, when she mentioned sister and brother topic. She couldn't help it though, it was hilarious. She laughs even more at the topic of D.L and Iblis, specially the reaction from D.L impression. "I can totally see that on D.L's face! God they'd be such a funny couple for sure"
After Eragon began to talk about how weird it'd be to feel the same thing, as if someone is holding your hand but aren't there. She could understand that would be very strange indeed, frowning at the thought but sighed deeply as she felt bad for D. "I just hope that D.L can find away to separate himself from Lite... I feel really bad that he has to be alone, and probably has been alone for who knows how long? but it's probably more then a normal person could handle by themselves." Nina spoke truthfully, but as she thought about it. Her eyes began to tear up and she sniffled, but she was trying not to cry about it. But it was very sad indeed to think about, specially since D.L is mostly distant. He probably didn't want to get hurt, by losing someone close to him. That in Nina's opinion was very lonesome and sad. |

Iblis lifted her head from Lite's chest and looked at his rings with concern. She had seen the red before, but the marks worried her. As he spoke of D.L, Iblis felt guilt weighing down on her. Maybe if she hadn't avoided him, he wouldn't be so angry. Then again, D.L was a very complicated person, so there could be a number of hidden reasons for him being angry. "I hope it's not my fault that he's angry.." she mumbled, not realizing that she said her thought out loud. Iblis snapped out of her thoughts when Lite told her to avoid D.L for a while. She gave a nod. "Alright. Hey, you feeling okay?" Iblis asked as she noticed his sort of tired expression.
Back on the ledge where Iblis had sulked, part of the wall opened and a female deer stumbled clumsily out; falling on her hands and knees at the edge of the ledge. Soot and oil blotches were scattered across her chestnut fur. Breathing heavily, May lifted her steampunk styled x-ray goggles from her face and looked out over the city. "I'm finally back" she panted out of breath to herself. The spotted doe carried a large burlap sack over her shoulder and had dropped it when she collapsed. She grabbed it again, but when she tried to stand she felt a sharp pain in her thigh. "Stupid drones" the doe grunted in pain. Her legs gave out and she fell off the ledge and down the steep inclined wall. Her sack filled with robot parts made a loud racket as she tumbled down with it.
Eragon just glared at Nina as she had her giggle fit over him. Seeing her bright and cheery smile was worth it though. He hadn't seen her smile and laugh like that since before Eggman took over. "Hey, hey, don't cry. He's alright. D.L is a tough guy. He can take care of himself. Something tells me that D isn't normal" he reassured Nina. Eragon gently put his arm around her to try and comfort her. The dragon lifted his head suddenly when he heard something happen not too far away.
((I'm going to change May's personality slightly for this RP since it is sort of an alternate timeline almost. Make her more war hardened than her original design.)) |

((Ah okay! and by the way, sorry for the slow replies, my internet is getting worse and cutting out randomly. So if I don't reply often, it's my internet cutting out on me for a few days or whatnot. The internet is cheap and crappy, but it's the only thing that is affordable))
Lite perks his ears slightly as he heard her mumble, hearing her words of concern. "Hes not mad at you, I'm sure... because if he was, he wouldn't be able to stay mad at you I bet." he replied back and smiled warmly at Iblis. He knew D.L was pretty attached to Iblis, when he first heard about the events and some recent memories that surfaced.
When Iblis noticed his exhausted expression though, he sighed and rubbed the back of his head slightly. "I'm okay... just pretty tired."
Nina sniffled and quickly rubbed the tears away, before they started to fall from her cheeks. She nods to what Eragon said, knowing he was right. D.L was indeed a tough guy, he hasn't shown that he felt anything when being alone yet. So she assumed he was just use to it.
When Eragon turned his head towards the noise, Nina also did as well. "Did you hear that?" Nina questioned as she perked her ears to the noise. |

((No worries Sazie! I've been out of town the past few days and am about to leave to be gone a couple more again. Didn't have time to mention my first absence, sorry. sweatdrop ))
Iblis gave an understanding nod to Lite. "Alright. You should get some rest then. Maybe go see what Tails is up to?" Iblis offered. She didn't know if Lite had his own hotel room, like some of the others did, yet. But Iblis knew that Tails would always welcome company, at least, she hoped he wasn't still too upset by Lite and D.L being here. She knew his pain of losing a close friend.
"Yeah. Sounded like metal. Better be careful" Eragon warned as he got up and followed the sound. As he sneaked closer, he began to hear faint groans of pain. "Hey, you okay there?" he asked as he lifted the heavy sack off of the female deer's back. She appeared to be roughly the same age as Eragon.
May coughed and sat up groggily. She had hit her head a few times on the way down. The bambi looking doe wore a black halter top with thick dark blue cargo pants and lightweight metal shoulder pads. She also wore black combat boots and dark blue finger-less gloves. Her dark blue hair was pulled back in a very loose ponytail at her shoulders. One green stripe ran down May's hair near her face. "Urm... Y-Yeah, thanks for the-" May started to say, but as she gazed up at Eragon her green eyes narrowed and she slowly placed her hand on her chest.
((Giving May a sort of rogue-ish look. Gotta find the time to draw this design. lol ))
