Nero

Nero was glad that Ariana saw things his way and agreed that he should stay at least for a little while. He would be happy not to hear Ariana pushing him away so much now that he had nowhere to go. She then asked where Nero would prefer to sleep. Even though Nero only needed about an hour of sleep a night, He was glad that options were open to him. Though logically to keep up appearances Nero decided that the most normal option would be to sleep in the house. "I will be most content sleeping in the guest room, for what little amount of time I actually do sleep. Thank you so much for your hospitality. I can't even begin to thank you enough for your kindness." His words were honest and full of depth as he tried to portray his gratitude to Ariana.
She then asked what they wanted to do now. Nero had to smile at Ariana being happy again. She asked if Nero still wanted to ride horses, to which he replied "I would like nothing less than to ride horses with you." He said with a graceful bow of the head and his charming smile. "But first I think we need to actually put these away before they go bad." He said holding up the bag with the ice cream.

Once everything was away, Nero moved for the door first so he could hold it as Ariana went through. "After you." He said with a warm smile, gesturing for her to go before him. He also did this because Ariana was the one who knew the way to the barn.

"You're welcome," she said, with a smile. She knew what she was doing for Nero that not a lot of humans would reach out and show this kindness to an alien from outer space. But, she did, and she questioned herself if she should have reacted differently when she met Nero, but he showed her nothing but kindness so she couldn't do anything but show it in return.
She tried to not think of what just happened with Agent Williams and think positively that everything would be fine, even though she didn't know if that would be the case. She thought riding would take her mind completely off it.
She took the last bag that Nero was holding and placed it in the freezer, "I am going to quick change before we head out. Skirts are not the best for riding," she said, running quickly up the stairs. She came back in a few minutes back in the jeans and tank top, with some cowboy boots, "Let's go," she said, and lead him the way to the barn.
She thought for a minute while they walked. Nero was so polite and kind, not like most human men on Earth, and always bowed. She wondered why that was. "Are you like royalty back on your planet? Why do you always bow?" she asked, curious, as they walked the short distance to the barn.
As she walked into the opened barn, her horse neighed at Ariana's presents, glad she was there. Ariana walked over to the horse and pet its long white and gray nose. "This is Sky," she said, with a smile and kissed the horses face. "Like I said before I got her when I was younger. She was just a foul," she said, petting the horses white mane. She looked at Nero to see if he was paying attention. "You can touch her if you would like," she said, gesturing how to stroke the horses head. The horse on the other stall whined, not liking that Sky was getting all the attention. It was a dark horse exact opposite of Sky. "And over there is Night," she said, with a chuckle, "He always wants the attention on him," she said, with a shake of her head. "We got him after we got Sky, hoping they would... breed," she said, a blush forming on her face and she looked back at Sky, combing her mane with her fingers.

Nero

Nero followed Ariana to the barn after she changed into her riding clothes. Ariana was beautiful in anything she put on, so naturally Nero liked her new change of wardrobe just as much as her previous one.
When she asked if he was Royalty back home Nero had to laugh. "Uh, Not to my knowledge. No. ... Like I said before, my father is a member of the High Council, and my mother is a keeper of knowledge at the lyceum." He smiled at the inclination that he could be royalty. "With that being said, Yes my family is highly respected in our community, which does entail a certain level of conduct. But I think in general my people are extremely polite and respectful. ... The bow is a sign of acknowledgement where I come from. It says I see you and your side, and I am honoring and respecting you." Nero explained with a head nod as they reached the barn where the horses resided.

When they entered the barn the animals inside were reinvigorated with new life at the sight of their care giver, Ariana. The first horse was a beautiful white and gray Arabian horse that Ariana told him about previously, named Sky. The horse reminded him of the Wissnie, back home, only this horse was much smaller than the ones that he was used to and a lot less silvery without plate-mail and antlers. Nero could see why Ariana liked horses so much. They really were magnificently beautiful animals. He listened intently as Ariana explained Sky's back story, then observed how she affectionately interacted with the horse. When Ariana beckoned for Nero to come and get acquainted with Sky, he gladly obliged. He moved over to the white horse and looked deep into its strange yet beautiful eyes before gently caressing the horses face and neck. "Hey Sky. It is very nice to meet you." As Nero was getting to know Sky, another horse in the adjacent stared to whinny. Now this horse was jet black as the night sky, hence the name Night. He was extraordinarily handsome with its black coat and muscular anatomy. Nero was in awe of the black horse, because horses on his planet only came in white with silver. "Oh wow. That is a beautiful horse. I had no idea they could come in such a sleek color. Oh I like him." Nero stated moving over to the black horse and gently stroking it just like he did with Sky. "Hello Night. How's It going Boy?... Yes I see you too." Nero said sensing the horses need for attention.

While still giving Night a rubdown, Nero asked Ariana what the procedure was to ride one of these magnificent creatures. He was actions to ride them, but he wasn't sure what the proper Earth way was. "So how do we actually get to ride these handsome creatures?"

"Oh, I was just wondering," she said, bashfully, feeling stupid that she asked the question.He just seemed like royalty to her. Like he came from a Disney movie and he was prince charming. It may have been something that she felt about him, but she wasn't sure. She continued walking toward the barn with Nero following her lead.
She watched him interact with the horses. "Yeah they come in all types of colors. Tan, brown, black, grey, or a mixture of any of those." she explained, "If you can see it Night has a small white marks above his hooves called coronets," she continued. She continued to watch making sure everything would be alright while she received the supplies that they needed to ride. The horses were use to people so they wouldn't do anything out of the ordinary with Nero. Once she felt he was comfortable with the horse she snuck off to get the saddles, and such. She came back with one load, and looked up at Nero when he asked her how they were going to ride the horses. "Well, we have to saddle them up first, and then I will teach you how to get on and handle the horse," she explained, going back to get another saddle. She then walked over to Sky's stall and opened it, "Sky let's get saddled up," she instructed the horse. The horse obeyed and got out of the stall for Ariana to put the saddle on her easily. Sky stay perfectly still, and didn't protest when the reins where being placed in her mouth. Ariana smiled, "Good girl," she said, and reached into her pocket and gave Sky some sugar cubes. "Treats help the horses behave well. Sky is a little sweet heart, but Night could still use a little work. He is still learning some things," she said, as she made sure everything was secure. She looked over at Nero, "Do you want to try and do it or shall I?" she asked, going over to Night's stall.

Nero

Nero listened as Ariana explained how horses on this planet came in an assortment of colors. Even the sleek black horse, Night, had traces of white on him. "Beautiful." Nero said quietly to no one in particular as he admired the uniqueness of each animal. As Nero admired the horses, Ariana went to get the equipment that they would need to ride them. She returned with two saddles and other equipment and told Nero that they were going to need them to ride the horses. Riding horses on earth apparently was essentially the same as riding Daraecks on Tahroo, only you didn't have to climb to extreme heights to do so. Though Nero had ridden Daraecks a few times before, It wasn't something he had much practice in, though riding a horse would be something slightly different anyway.
Nero watched as Ariana went over to saddle the white horse. She made it look effortless as she put the gear on Sky as if this was second nature to her and Sky. Their connection to each other and their trust was truly beautiful, making Nero smile.

Ariana then said that rewarding the horses makes them better behaved. She then added that Nero's horse was not as well behaved, and prone to causing problems, for he was still learning. Nervously Nero turned to the black horse and rubbed his face to demonstrate his confidence in the horses abilities.

After finishing tightening up the last strap on Sky, Airana asked if Nero wanted to attempt to saddle Night. "Hum... I think I want to give it a go. I've never actually put a saddle on, so this should be fun... Don't make fun of me if I totally mess this up." Nero said grabbing the other saddle, and opening the stall to get to Night. "All right Night, lets do this thing." Nero said to Night as he approached. He threw the saddle across Night's back just as Ariana did with Sky. Nero began to adjust the straps, when Night began to move and fuss making putting the saddle on impossible. "Whoa. Shhh. Easy there. Come on Night don't do that. We have to get this done." As Nero spoke he sent mild brain waves to Night, just to calm him down enough to stand still until Nero was done. Immediately after he said this, Night became still and perfectly behaved just like Sky, allowing Nero to finish the job. Hoping he did everything right. Nero stepped back and let Ariana do the final check. "So how'd I do?" Nero inquired with baited breath, waiting for her to say he did well.

She was surprised when Nero wanted to put the saddle on Night himself. She knew she had just did it in front of him, but here were a lot of buckles and certain things and needed to be tight to make sure it was stable. She watched him interact with Night. She knew he hadn't dealt with an animal like Night before, so she watched him carefully making sure that Night didn't get upset by something Nero did and kick him. She was also watching to make sure none of the buckles were tangled or mismatched, but when watching she knew that Nero had been watching carefully and was doing an excellent job.
When Night started to fuss while Nero was putting on the saddle, Ariana was ready to jump right in and saddle Night herself, but Nero manage to do it. She double checked the straps making sure they were tight enough so the saddle wouldn't slide. "You did good," she said, with a smile, "You have potential of being a cowboy yet," she teased, as she petted Night gently. She looked at Nero with a smile. "So, to get on the horse," she said, demonstrating on Night,"You need to put the foot in the stirrup that will stay on that side," she said demonstrating balancing on the stirrup but not to long, "Then bring your other leg over to the other side, and place it in the other stirrup," she said, placing her other leg on the other side, and then she was on the horse. "You want to make sure you step with the right foot or else you will be backwards," she said, and got down just how she got on just the opposite. "Think you can do it?" she asked.
