Luka's frown grew deeper. "I do little jobs here and there. I can also scavenge for food if I need to. I don't need you worrying about me," he said in an irritated tone. It was like he was a kid. He could handle things on his own.

"And to do that you will lose on precious dragon searching and hunting time." He was getting frustrated again. He finally took a step or two further ahead of the boy and turned and made him stop in his tracks and took his shoulders. "I am trying to help you, you know. If you insist on doing this, this is the kind of thing you can't do alone. A dragon is far too much of a beast for you to face head on. Need I remind you of your previous encounter?" He felt strange that he was so willing to help Luka when the boy was so willing to hunt him and kill him. But it saddened him to know that this boy might just end up walking right to his death. Mainly from another beast or worse, another dragon.

Luka was growing angrier and angrier by every word Kamen spoke. He stopped when Kamen blocked his way and glared at him. His teeth gritted together, finally snapping. His hands came up and smacked Kamen's away, freeing himself from his grasp. "I told you once, and I am not going to say it again. I. Work. Alone. I don't need your help. There is no way you are going to convince me otherwise," he said, anger filled in his voice, He side stepped around him and began walking again. Then he stopped.

"Crap. Not now..." Luka said then spun on his heels towards the noise he had previously heard. "Get ready," he said to Kamen, right before a group of large men appeared out of the forest.

I thought maybe fighting together would get them a little closer? Luka is a stubborn little thing. (By the way, the men are thieves. They are common to attack travelers on isolated roads.)

Kamen blinked at Luka when the boy snapped his hand away he just watched him and then sighed. The boy was too arrogant for his own good. It worried him and yet infuriated him all at the same time.

He sensed others nearby way before Luka had but by then he had his arms folded as he looked at the boy his comment of "get ready" made him blink then chuckle. "I thought you work alone?" he said to the boy. All the while glancing around him taking note at how many of them their were, he counted at least seven, with three more waiting in the trees.

Luka shot him a quick glare. "I meant for yourself. If you want to be killed be my guest," he told him, his focus back on the men in front of him.

"Give us all you own and no one will get hurt," one man who seemed to be the leader said, grinning just like the rest of them. Luka knew it was all a lie. They were just those types of guys. "No," he said simply, getting ready for the fight. One of the thieves made the first move. He ran towards Luka at full force quite fast, but Luka was faster. In one simple movement, he dodged out of the way, tripping the other and kicking him to the ground. The thieves seemed stunned since they didn't think this little guy had any bite to him. Boy were they wrong.

Kamen watched Luka with a bit of amusement he smiled a bit. It was nice to see him fight against something he had a chance with. He looked behind him when a couple of thugs came his way he merely blinked in confusion pretending he had no idea they were after him too. "Oh good sir's I don't think you want my things. Unless you know how to cook." he said with a small chuckle.

Paying him no mind they two charged him weapons int he air, Kamen merely shrugged and side stepped them and watched as they fall to the ground and attempted to scramble to their feet and charge him again. This time Kamen had taken his bag and opened it to where all his cooking utensils knocked them all to the ground and the hollered and starting saying swear words left and right.

Grinning with the fun Kamen walked over to them an knelt on his knees and winked at one. "Listen I really don't want to get rough but I will if you keep it up." Getting more annoyed the one thug spit in his face and when Kamen seemed distracted with wiping it off he attempted to knock him down again.

Kamen merely jumped in the air and avoided him then brought a hand back and hit him right in the neck with a good old fashioned krate chop. The guy's eyes turned white as he froze and fell to the ground. Shaking his head Kamen looked at the other guy. "Your turn I guess." Even though he tried to scramble and get out of his reach Kamen reached out and grabbed his collar and then threw him backwards and the guy hit a tree hard with a grunt then slid onto the ground with a small thump. Shortly after that Kamen went running for the trees to go after the ones hiding.

Here Kamen used more of his dragon strength to subdue the men and tie them up. He clapped his hands as if dusting them off. "Their we go, all done." he said then he looked towards where Luka was and wondered how the boy was faring.

Luka did not pay attention to the commotion he was hearing over in Kamen's area. Right now, it was three vs one. They immediately went into hand to hand combat. Something Luka was extremely skilled at.

One of them swung a punch, which Luka blocked with his arm, swinging it away and punching him in the face. The second guy came up behind him, but Luka ducked out of the way, causing him to punch the first guy and knocking them both to the ground. Are you serious... The brunette thought with a disappointing sigh. He had hoped they would at least put up some sort of a fight.

The third guy was next to attack, but like the others, he was weak. He was taken out in a second. Next to attack him was the leader. And he did not look happy. His fists sung at Luka in a rushed speed. The leader seemed eager to take him out. But Luka was quicker. He had blocked all of the leaders punches with ease. There was an opening which the brunette took. He brought his leg up and kneed him in the stomach. The leader now laid on the ground with the rest of his men, groaning in pain.

A small sigh left Luka's lips in disappointment. He grabbed his bag which he dropped onto the ground and began to walk away, like nothing even happened. When he did, he noticed Kamen had defeated all of his enemies. He didn't know if he should be surprised or not.

Kamen smiled at Luka then walked over and started to pack up his things again dusting things off as he put them all back into his bag.

When he was finished he stood back up and walked towards Luka again. "Ready to go?" he said with a confident and somewhat soothing smile as if their previous argument had never happened.

Luka had already started walking away before Kamen began to speak. "Not with you..." He mumbled under his breath, adjusting the strap of his bag on his shoulder.

The teen continued to walk until a town appeared in his sight. Find food, a place to rest, then see if there are any signs of the dragon... He listed to himself in his mind. A few more minutes later, he stepped into the town. The townsfolk filled the streets. A festival seemed to be in place. There were stands of food and many people performing. I wonder what kind of festival it is... Luka wondered, but kept walking to find some sort of place to rest for the night.

Sorry! School has gotten harder this semester and I haven't been getting any sleep, so that has been causing me writers block. I am so sorry!

I also don't know how Luka and Kamen will get together. Do you have any ideas?

Kamen sighed and shook his head as he continued to follow Luka sticking close to him, he said nothing though as the teen walked onward. When they got to the next town he looked around. "Hugh, is it that time of year already?" he said out loud to himself

Luka was a little amazed at how elaborate this festival was. There were activities, costumes, and a lot of food. Everyone wore a smile on their faces, seeming to be enjoying themselves. Hearing Kamen speak, caused the teen to look over at him and raise an eyebrow. "Time of the year for what?" He asked before he could stop himself from speaking to him.

Kamen blinked he glanced at Luka, was he actually speaking at him and asking a question instead of telling him to go away. He smiled at the boy then and chuckled as he put a hand on his shoulder. "Time of the year to have a party." he said with a small grin. "You need to relax." he then gently took the boy's arm and led him further into the crowd.

Luka only raised his eyebrow further. Time of the year to party? That made no sense at all. His eyes widened when Kamen suddenly took his arm and dragged him into the crowd. "Wai- Hey!" There was no room in the crowd of people to try and break free, so he was stuck like this for a bit. Which, he was not very happy about. "There is no time to relax when you're hunting. That's just hunting 101," he said with a frown, appalled that he would even suggest relaxing.

Kamen had Luka at a booth it looked like a booth for playing ring toss, he looked back at him and pulled the boy forward to look at the game. "oh stop being a stick in the mud you can hunt later a dragon is big you wont lose it"

Luka had given up since he knew he wouldn't get Kamen to let go of him. As the other spoke, his lips turned into a frown, almost like he was pouting. "Well apparently this dragon has very good hiding skills if no one has killed it yet. It has a big bounty on it you know. If it wasn't good at camouflage, it would be dead by now," he said, still frowning when they hit the booth.
