Luka walked around until he finally found the place he fought with the dragon. He sighed then got on the ground. "Any clues anywhere...?" He asked himself out loud. The teen crawled around on all fours, trying to find anything that would lead him to where the black dragon went. "Let's see..." He spoke out loud before standing up. "Over here is a scale... But that was where it was standing... So that does not help me..." He said as he held the scale in his hand. As he looked at it, he thought it looked beautiful in a scary way. But... There was something else... The scale felt like it was pulsing in his hands, almost like he could sense the dragon's feelings. He shook his head, feeling like he was just imagining things, which he probably was.

The young man walked around for a while, but couldn't find anything other then the scale. A heavy sigh escaped him. He was back to square one. "This is just wonderful," he mumbled grumpily then kicked a rock. To make matters worse, he lost his footing and landed in the river that was right next to him. Luckily, it wasn't a rushing water river, or he would've been swept away. Luka groaned loudly and just laid there, floating on his back in the calm watered river. What am I to do now...?

Kamen was watching him from the trees he frowned he left a scale behind. "Damn it..." he thought then he sighed and put a hand to his head. He just had to keep his cool was all. He finally walked into the clearing and over to him his hands in his pockets. "What did you find?"

Luka looked up at the sky, watching the clouds pass by. His eyes slowly closed and he sighed. Perfect... Just perfect... The sound of a voice caused him to open his eyes and sit up in the water. "Wha-" His mouth turned into an instant frown at the rude stranger in front of him. "Why should I tell you? You don't answer any of my questions," he told him, turning his head away with a small 'hmph.' He was acting like a stubborn child.

Kamen blinked a little and cocked his head slightly then he grinned and chuckled. "Touché" he bent down and looked at the boy so they were eye level. "But you know, I have touché of my own, if you want to know the name of someone you should properly give your own first. Had you done that I would have gladly given you mine." He stood back up and put his hands in his pockets he looked at him with a serious look on his face. "But to answer your other question more fully I do not know where the dragon went. I came in the clearing just in time to see it knock you out and then turn to fog and disappear. So, now that I've answered your questions to the extent as you deserved I'll ask my question again. What did you find?"

Luka opened him mouth to retort to the stranger's words, but closed it immediately. He had a point. "My name is Luka Volkav," he said after a moments hesitation.

At the next words the man spoke, Luka sighed and scratched his head. So he was back to square one. Wonderful... He thought sarcastically with another sigh. The young teen stood up and took out the dragon scale, showing it to the other. "This," he told him, answering his last question. "Why do you want to know?" He asked, looking at his suspiciously.

"Well then Luka Volkav. My name is Kamen Kurr." He looked at the scale and then rubbed his eyes for a moment he looked at the boy with a serious look on his face. "Why are you so determined Luka? I mean really you seriously lucked out that the dragon didn't kill you. I mean really you must have family who would miss you?"

Luka felt better when the stranger introduced himself. Kamen Kurr... What an interesting name... Almost like royalty... He though to himself then watched as Kamen looked at the scale. He blinked a few times from the sudden change in the man's expression when he looked at him. What did I do now...?

At the next questions the other asked, Luka frowned then stuffed the scale in his pocket. "I want to prove to my family that I don't need to be protected. All my life I was not allowed to leave the house. I want to go out on adventures, be my own hero. Sure my family would be devastated if I get killed, but I don't want to live my life in fear of the outside world. I don't want to be locked up in a house again. Killing the Black Ice Dragon is the only way to gain my freedom. Yeah it's stupid, my reasoning is stupid, and I could get myself killed, but it's my only option," he told him taking a deep breath. "You and everyone else can't stop me from hunting that dragon. I will find it and kill it, or it will kill me. That's it," he said then turned his back to the man.

"I have to go now. Thank you for taking me in and feeding me. Goodbye Kamen Kurr," Luka said before walking off and heading towards the village. He would go to his home and change his clothes, then go back out to find traces of the dragon again.

Kamen watched as the young boy walked away. His reasoning seem legit but how could he really allow him to go and get himself killed? Sighing Kamen looked down and rubbed the back of his neck he really had only two options, avoid him, or tag along. Maybe if he never met up with the dragon again he would give up? After making up his mind he turned around and headed back for his cabin. He gathered what little things he did have and the stew then went to the main farm and thanked the man for the use of the cabin. He payed him the rest that was owed then headed for the outskirts of town to wait for Luka. He leaned against a tree and folded his arms and looked at the ground and thought on how careless he was to leave a scale behind.

Luka walked through the village and in the direction of his rented out home. Once he entered, he disrobed himself and bathed to get rid of that river smell on his body. A few minutes passed and he dried himself off, dressing himself in a nice, clean pair of clothes. He finished then grabbed his sword, locking up before traveling back into the village.

The scale remained in his pocket as he walked down the busy streets. That was when he saw a familiar figure standing there. He looked like he was waiting for something. Or someone. Luka frowned when he recognized the figure then walked passed him. He didn't want him to be meddling in his business again.

Kamen looked up when hee noticed Luka coming adn walk right past him and said nothing he smiled and chuckled a little then pushing from the tree he turned and started to follow the boy. All the while looking towards the pocket he could sense his scale from that. Scales he knew were odd things even if one got broken off which was rare, a dragon could not only sense where it was but sometimes the scale would be a beacon on a dragons feelings and emotions. He wondered though since the boy was keeping hold of it if he knew of that.

Luka kept his steady pace as he walked down the street in the direction of the farm. His lips formed into a frown. He sensed someone following him. And he knew who it was. Was he happy about it? No. Not at all.

The teen came to a halt when they were on the edge of the village. He turned around and glared at the other. "What do you want? Why are you following me?" He asked. If he tried to get into his business again, he would not be happy.

Kamen kept following the boy keeping a close eye on the pocket where his scale was. He looked up when he noticed the boy stop and then turned and faced him and asked his question. Smirking a little he folded his arms and looked at him. "Why else? I'm going to come with you." he said in a matter of fact tone of voice.

Luka blinked, surprised at Kamen's words. "Excuse me?" He asked, not sure if what he was saying was true. "Coming with me? What gave you that idea?" He put his hands on his hips, glaring at him. This guy... He had a feeling they wouldn't really get along well. Not with him acting like this.

"What makes you think I will let you tag along with me?" Luka pressed on, getting really annoyed with him. Who does he think he is...? Why would he even want to come with me...? Don't tell me he's after the dragon too...?

I am so sorry for the late reply! College started last week and I was hounded with homework. And to top it all over, I'm sick so it has been a pain. Thank you for being so patient with me! I am so sorry about all of these delays!

Kamen smirked a little he had to admit Luka was fun to toy with. "Alright your excused." he said with a chuckle. He ruffled his hair a little then. "And in honesty, you gave me the idea. I've been cooped up in that cabin for too long, a little adventure wont hurt me."

He folded his arms then. "As for the last part I'm not really giving you a choice. I have free will and I can go this way just as much as you can." He smiled a little kindlier then. "And besides even if you don't get killed from the dragon or any other beast there's still starvation and I know how to cook."

Luka glared at him coldly, not liking him one bit. He was rude and forceful. He wanted to punch the living daylights out of him. "You are not coming with me. I don't need your help. Go tag along with someone else," he said firmly, turning on his heel and speeding up his pace. Why couldn't this guy just leave him alone?

The brunette arrived at the farm again in the spot where he fought the dragon. He crossed the river, moving to the land on the other side to see if there were any traces. It didn't seem like there were... "Great..." If only he had been stronger.... Maybe he would have had a chance. I doubt it... Luka then out of the blue slapped his cheeks. Stop being negative Lucas... Focus... He told himself.

Gaaaaaaah I'm back! Words cannot describe how much I am sorry. I thought I had replied to this already! Apparently I was wrong... So so so so so sorry!
