What the ******** was going on.

None of this made any sense.

                                            Had I blacked out?

Whose arm was that on the ground?

Whose arm am I holding? I flinched dropping it in confusion. It splashed against the ground, the water hitting my face in a spatter. Or was it water? No it was too thick... far too thick. Where the hell had I awakened. What was this burning in my throat? Why was the liquid on my face so... so intoxicating. I looked down and flinched yet again. I was ankle deep in blood. It was on my hands and in my hair. I swallowed, a dry heave damn near. I licked my lips, they felt so dry. My mouth was so dry, it felt like it could crack any moment or turn to ashes and flow out of my head. My hands felt hot. I looked at them, covered in red. It was dark in the room, so dark nothing had color. Nothing but the red around my legs and my hands. I looked up and saw nothingness. Only darkness. I looked at the ground again and saw something floating along. A childs toy... a bloody teddy bear. My breath became heavy as the dryness spread. I reached down to touch the blood, kneeling into it and feeling how amazing it was. Slowly I pulled my finger to my lips. I allowed myself a single taste. It was so sweet... it was so amazingly sweet.

I closed my eyes to savor it.

I opened them in the bright sun of the wind country. Confusion set in yet again. A pang of pain in my left shoulder. An arrow was lodged in it. I pulled it free, looking at it with annoyance as I looked to see another was coming. I snatched it out of the air, frowning at the man who shot it. I got a good look at my arm then too. Covered in blood that wasn't mine. It happened again but this time I wasn't alone. My face was thick, caked with blood. What the hell was happening to me. I panicked a little as I avoided, narrowly, another arrow. I growled, rage welling up within me as I bared my teeth at him. I heard something close to me, a step was taken towards me. I turned, instinct ruling governing my actions. My fist caved in his skull and blood splattered into the air. My brows rose in surprise at how vibrant it appeared to be. I opened my hand and it froze there, freeing itself from his body. I felt it like it was part of me, moving to stop another arrow. I tried to speak but instantly I felt like their were rocks in my throat. I needed more. I opened my mouth wide as the blood slaked my thirst, filing into my throat. With that momentary clarity I saw everything around me. Fires burned, walls were crushed, men and women were dead, brutalized as if torn in half. I remembered doing it with a smile on my face as I freed what I wanted from it's cage. I fell to my knees as I realized what I was doing. As a voice spoke in my mind. It was Percival's voice, if he had one. Percival... why couldn't I feel him? Was he gone? I growled in pain as an arrow lodged in my chest. I moved faster than I thought I could to him and grabbed his throat. Words failed me as I bit down on his throat, tearing into his body, his veins. His attempts to scream would only quicken the liquid going into my throat. I let him fall from his perch and saw he had friends coming. A lot of them.

Ifell to the floor, a whip of blood forming at her hands. I gave a flick of her wrist, sending the lash out, flicking off the frontman's head. I spun around, allowing the whip to tear through the rest of him and bringing it up again before extending it and slamming it down, scattering the group. Kya was on them in seconds. I beat them to death with my bare hands, ignoring the pain of the damage I took. I needed to free more of it. I need to taste them. I needed to let the beast within me free.

I needed to become the beast.

I sat there on the floor for a while, staring blankly at the sun with a dead woman in my arms, growing colder by the second without her life powering the shell. I panted heavily, a long trail of bodies leading to the puncture wounds on her neck, deep and nigh identical to a few others. Her eyes were turning grey but I paid it no mind. I was waiting on more but none were coming. They were done finally. The screaming stopped both outside and inside my mind. I could think. I was on my way to see what had become of lightning country when Percival cringed and fell from the sky nearby. By the time he hit the ground I was no longer conscious. I remember whatching him die, feeling nothing but confusion as I lost my connection to Henrir but growing so hungry, so full of... bloodlust. And now here I sit. I had heard stories of this from my father. Heard from my mother that though he denounced them... he was a direct connection to the Vladians. Never did I imagine Andrik would come to me this way. It was the only thing I could think of to explain the blacking out and thirst. Now that I could think. So even when I had thought I found myself... I hadn't. Even when I thought he could do no more to influence me he had one more trick up his sleeve. I looked down at the corpse in my arms, it's black hair, its dessicated body, it's stiffness setting in. Feeling more in control I stood up and sighed. I needed to find some kind of tub to wash the blood off and get home. Realizing the need for speed, my body took over once again and I found myself bursting into a swarm of bats. I was six stories high when I was me again. I fell for a few seconds before focus found it's way back to me and I was again more than just me. I flew in a black streak towards my destination. I found myself in a building near the edge of the sandstorm village. I coalesced in the window of the bathroom, running a bath and removing the clothing, ruined forever. I sinked into it, letting the water flow over my head as I stared up at the ceiling. My eyes closed again.

This time I woke up to the sound of an inquisitive squad sent by Kumogakure to see why communications had ceased. They thought the bats were strange... but they didn't question it. I was long gone when they realized a monster had been through the town.
