So today was my first time having sex. It was extremely painful, but I'll assume it was due to a lack of lube. Looking down there later the flesh at my entrance looks torn? for lack of a better word. It doesn't hurt but I see some swelling and some redness.

Anyway the condom ended up breaking because there wasn't enough room at the tip and again the lube thing. My bf said only the tip was in when it broke but I know there was still pre-c**. But we ended up getting the Plan B pill 2-3 hours later so I'm not freaking out that much.

So I'm just wondering what happens now. My cycle is 25-28 days. Day 25 is going to be on the 28th of this month. But I know I began ovulating a few days ago. Since I took the pill like right away there should be a very little to no pregnancy risk right? I just don't know when to expect my period.

Umm to add more details when I went to the bathroom not too long ago I noticed some light spotting and idk if it's from the swelling or a side effect from the pill.

Also is there an easy DIY concoction for a water-based lube? If Not what kind of condoms could I use with the usual oil-based kind? Oh and I plan on using both Spermicide and condoms as contraception but idk what form I should get it in..

Sorry if I wrote too much but I'd really like someone to answer as much as possible! sweatdrop

It's not unusual to have some pain, swelling, tearing, and/or bleeding if you're not lubricated enough. Give yourself a few days to heal before having sex again.

You need to be careful about what you use for a lubricant. Oil-based lubricants can make condoms more likely to tear, and they may increase your chance of getting a vaginal infection. So it's best to get a water-based lubricant that is intended for vaginal use. Most stores that sell condoms also sell lubricants, usually right next to each other or very close to it.

It's a good thing you took Plan B. Since you took it, and since you took it so soon, and since it sounds like you noticed the broken condom early on, your pregnancy risk is low. But there is still some risk. So it's not something you should lose sleep over. But it wouldn't hurt to take a pregnancy test in a couple weeks to double check, especially since Plan B can throw your period off. After taking Plan B, you might have spotting, you might get your period earlier or later than usual, and/or your period might be heavier or lighter than usual.

All spermicides have similar side effects and similar rates of effectiveness. So the different forms are more about personal preference. Be aware that on their own, spermicides do not offer very good protection. They are best when used with another method. If you use a condom and spermicide every time and keep Plan B on hand, you will be fairly well protected. But if you really don't want to get pregnant right now, I would recommend using condoms with a hormonal method of birth control (like the pill) and keeping Plan B on hand. Because most hormonal methods, when used exactly as directed, are more effective than condoms and spermicide combined.
