"Awaken, dear child of the forest! You have a message from a very important person." A voice races through Lila's head as she meditates.

Odd. Lilu thought. That's never happened before. She stood up and roused Koaru from his slumber. "Time to wake up. I've got a message, which means we have somewhere to be." She told the grumpy, groggy wolf.

As you awaken, you see a glowing city right in front of you. Thousands of buildings lit by nothing but what seemed to be pure magic. In the distance you saw fireworks shooting into the sky, as if it was some form of celebration. Looking closely at the path in front of you, appears a little girl. She looks like she's crying, wearing a black dress with pink lace around the trimmings. Her hair was as silver as unicorn blood and her eyes were an icy blue. Her gaze seemed distanced, as if focusing on the thoughts running through her head.
"That child.. She needs you." The voice in Lilu's head seemed to draw closer as if a person was talking to her face to face.

Having never been sent a vision before, Lilu focused intently on the child as the voice told her she was needed. The girl reminded Lilu of the princess when she was younger, but somewhat different. Lilu made the somewhat obvious conclusion that the girl needed protecting, although perhaps the voice meant she needed to be taught the ways of the Druid-her mentor said that he had been guided to her by a vision. "I will find her." She spoke. Koaru would not see the vision, but would likely see the face of the girl through their empathic link, and would know not to harm her if he saw the girl.

A guide through the forest Lilu was in glinted like a path lighting. The slight glow of the moonlight trickling through the trees wasn't enough to see clearly, but enough to know that the light was unnatural at the very least. Another vision perhaps?
"Beware of the journey that lies ahead of you.. For there are many dangers in this forest." The calming voice echoed in Lilu's head, as if fading away into a vast emptiness, leaving no sound but the owls and bugs chattering.
The pathway stayed lit, staring Lilu in the face. Nothing at the end of the closest trickle of light, but a dark mouth that seemed to consume everything. An eerie feeling started to creep through the bellows of the empty looking darkness that was presented to Lilu.
Something seemed to be pulling Lilu towards the directed path.

"So this is how we're going to play, eh?" Lilu said to no one in particular. "Fine. But the journey is a lot safer astride a mighty wolf." She said, as she took the few minutes to put the chain mail barding on Koaru. "I know you hate it, but until we're where we need to be, you're gonna have to live with it." She said, as she saddled up and mounted the wolf. "Onward." She said, guiding Koaru along the unnaturally lit path. She had her bow at the ready-no sense in keeping it on her back at this point.

As Lil, riding the wolf through the forest, progressed, she heard a noise. It sounded as if an unnatural being was taking over something in the forest. The cries of the creature rang through the trees and shook the ground. It sounded like it was coming from straight ahead, but Lilu still couldn't see anything in the dark. The further Lilu and her wolf went, the more disturbing the forest seemed to get. Blood marks on the lit path, and where the moon shined through the trees, Lilu could see body parts from what looked like a human.
A strange humming began to ring throughout the forest, almost like a little girl that was lost and scared.

Lilu dismounted, deciding to split up for this. "Koaru, follow the trail." She said, referencing the blood on the ground. He would be able to follow it easily. She placed an arrow in her bow and walked in the direction of the girl's humming. She was expecting a trap, and would likely be rewarded.

(Koaru uses Survival to track and has a +4 bonus to doing it because of scent. Lilu can roll Listen if needed.)

The trail Koaru was following lead to a direction completely opposite of Lilu. The blood kept getting stained thicker and thicker on the trail that Koaru was following. The scent of whatever it was that killed people, was growing more potent. It was a musky scent, smelled like blood, sweat, wet dog, and cow manure, on top of the dead, rotting flesh smell. The musk of the being that did this was getting closer with every step Koaru took.
On Lilu's trail, the voice was getting closer, as if it was marching towards Lilu directly. Before she knew it, the singing sounded like it was right behind her, whispering in her ears. "You shouldn't have come into this forest." The voice whispered into her ear. However, when she turned to see who it was, there wasn't anything there. Just complete Darkness.
The singing continued back in the distance that Lilu thought it was before the whispering.

Suddenly realizing her flank was exposed (and it shouldn't be), she dropped into a ready stance and called out to her companion. "Koaru, to me!" She shouted, knowing that any chance of doing this quietly was already gone. "Get ready!" She said, as she slowly advanced along the trail.

As Koaru heard Lilu's command, he heard something start to move around him. It seemed like the blood from the ground was forming right in front of the wolf. As this was happening, Lilu caught a visual of what was making the noises. It appeared to be a little girl with a grin that literally stretched from the left side of the face to the right side of the face, with razor sharp teeth. Her eyes were hollowed out, with only a red iris left in the socket, and her hair was silver as moonlight. At a closer glance, Lilu saw that she has talons as sharp as master crafted blades, and she was barefoot.
The formation of blood in front of the wolf looked like a bear, with blood oozing out of every inch of its body, falling onto the floor and re-entering into the formation, like water drops forming a bigger puddle.
