He noticed Stella dodged his strike with a flip to his rear, but then he planned out a move to throw her off at the action he figured she may take by trying to strike his back so he figured to allow her to strike it. but when she did it, he then did a sweeping action to trip her up with his left leg to hers to get her off balance and then slash at her torso. He then grabbed Stella and tossed her to the middle of the arena and got the remaining orbs laying around.

He looked at her saying, "Well, it seems were evenly matching each others moves. Wonder if it would be the same if we had more enemies to face off against." He spoke to her respectfully, but also he looked at his training against the creatures of darkness and wonder if would she see him the same if she saw him as something else.

Both her attack on Kayligai's back and her attempt to relentlessly stay on offense to not give him an advantage, but she failed because she failed to see him perform the sweep that caused her to lose her balance. It gave him that chance to strike her torso and cause her to fall on her back and lose some of her orbs that he gathered. When Stella got up, her opponent took a moment to say how they were matching each other moves and wondering if it would be the same if they were against more enemies. With that confident grin of hers, she replied,

"It seems that way for now, but I ain't done yet. I waited so long for this moment and I am going to fight until my body gives in if that's what it takes for me to win this. All this talking is boring me! Lets get back to fighting!"

Stella decided to go with the strategy to stay on the offensive, but she had surprise him with a move that Kayligai hasn't seen before. First she ran towards him normally, but then she slammed her bat midway to the ground and pushed off, making her fly towards him. The extra speed might be able to catch Kayligai by surprise as she performed a corkscrew attack on him.

Kayligai saw Stella jumping at him, he nodded in agreement and he smiled as she did her action. He then dodged it by jumping over her attack and then in the jump, struck her down by force onto her back. He then landed next to her and knocked her struggle bat out of her hand. He then pointed his struggle bat to her body to see how she will act due to his actions.

Stella's corkscrew attack failed and she felt his back strike her back as she landed on the ground with a thud. Her bat was knocked out of her hands and the moment she got up, his bat was pointed towards her. Now like most stubborn people, she wasn't going to let him win like this so like a boxer, she bob and weaved her way out of Kayligai's path and recovered her struggle bat. In the same bob and weave manner, she closed the distance between her and Kayligai quickly and began her relentless strong offense, although now she was aiming more toward his joint muscles to wear him down.

Kayligai was happy to see Stella's will to fight on was still holding strong. But he had to show her his will to win as well, so as she start using her style of fighting to get him, it started to work. He was getting hit at the joints due to it was more of a fighting style with the fist then of the sword. So he needed to adjust against her style with his own, so he had to go and be more passive in his attacks as he dodged. So during her next attack, he would hit Stella's body at the same time.

It seemed that Stella's unique boxer tactics with her Struggle bat was an effective method to fight Kayligai because he can't be given a chance to counterattack. With her offense, she gained confidence that she will be the victor in this fight. However, during one of her attacks, she got hit at her right ribcage. It made her stop for just a moment but then she resumed her attacks, trying her best not to let him up but at the same time trying not to exhaust herself, so there weren't many heavy attacks that were meant for early knockouts. Instead, she had to focus on the objective of the fight: the orbs. Time was running out and she needed to collect enough orbs from his vest in order to win since she is on the losing end at the moment.

Kayligai noticed his strike did the trick, but he knew he had to keep the lead from Stella for the timer was almost up. the orbs were dropping off of him like beads from a jar, so with quick thinking he acted with one of the strikes coming at him. When Stella tried to hit him again like a boxer, this time he was able to evade the strike, then like a beast ready to pounce on their prey, he took a chance to strike her from where the arm was already was out. He then went for her leg joints to unbalance her, then finally he finally choose to go for a fury of strikes. He had a look of a man ready to kill, but in reality he wasn't going to, but the next thing he did was swing his bat five times, still somewhat seeable but enough to be hard to noticed. His struggle bat broke in two from his strike, but he looked at the opportunity it gave him as it knocked her away and allowed him to get the orbs from her.
