Davian simply sat there wrapping his arms around girl. when she buried her head in his chest. It was awkward from him since first the first time in his life he didn't know what to do. " Its ok Teela nothing is going to hurt you." he said softly to her. The light form his eye sparked for a second and then the light turned out. He was now effectively blind. 'great' he thought before he slowly helped Teela rise and sit her up on the bed. he still held her letting her cry into his coat knowing that a mind could only handle so much.

Teela shuddered and after a while she finally stopped crying. She leaned into him her cheek resting on his shoulder. She sighed and looked up. Softly she touched her cheek and pulled his face to hers again. She didnt kiss him just stared into his eyes. She brushed a few strands of hair from his face and stroked his cheek being comforted by his closeness. She hoped maybe, just maybe, he might feel something for her. Her eyes showed her hope even if it was small.

Davian pressed his fore head to teela's and returned her stare with his only good eye, though his was still one of ice like it always was. "i'll never let them take you teela you don't need to have my enemies become yours." he said softly to her placing a small kiss on her forehead. before pulling his head away and placing a sleeved hand over his bloody eye. He was feeling a little dizzy from blood loss but he was use to it. He felt the warmth of her hand on his face and he reached up and placed a hand over hers and took it in his

Teala smiled softly. "Please allow me to tend to your wound. My healing does come in handy sometimes." She said softly as she gently tugged his hand away from his eye to inspect it. She tilted her head that the mechanism but took pride as she placed her palm over his eye and allowed her aura to flow. "Even a machine is living, Damien." She told him quietly.

Davian allowed her to heal his eye. The again zing pain seemed to numb down before it just ceased to be. The eye was damaged and he would have to repair it but he could do that later." I understand but this machine sometimes just gets tired of healing" he said tas flash backs to many wounds of battle and the ttime stuck in hospitals recovering while his men fought in his place.he felt her aura dim as he reached up and took her hand in his.

Teela thought for a moment. "Corrective surgery?" She joked with a kind smile gently twining her fingers with his as he took her hand. After a moment she looked over at the clock and did a double take. "Wow its already 6 am! How time does fly. Would you like some breakfast?" she asked jumping up pulling her hand out of his and heading for the kitchen pausing to see if he would like anything.

Davian smiled when she did. her hand felt soft like it usually did and just when he was starting to enjoy the moment she was was across the room asking about breakfast. "i'll take what ever you make Teela" he said rising from teh bed. he walked over to where his eye had fallen picked it up and slipped it into his pocket.He then proceeded to follow her out fo the room

Teela nodded once before going to the kitchen within minutes she had bacon eggs omelets sausage and several choices of fruits all set out on the table. She hummed to herself making herself move and keeping her hands busy so she wouldn't be tempted to go to Davian. She occasionally would glance toward him a look of curiosity and something soft would show in her eyes however she kept her distance feeling that he would not want her affections. Instead she remained busy cleaning the dishes after she set the buffet on the table.

Davian watched her cook at a speed unnatural to humans. her hands always moving it fascinated Davian. he watched her place all the food on the table behind him. "I wish I had some one like you as my aid in the trenches when it came to preparing the officer meals this looks much better then what I usually eat." davian said with a laugh. he pulled away from the counter where he was watching her cook and took a seat at the end of the table.

Teela smiled "As your slave I am to follow you wherever you go. Until I am released or your two year contract expires which in that case I would be released back into the costudy of the market." She fell silent then paused. "There is a way that you can keep me with you, Davian." She said quietly her brow creased deep in thought. He could keep her but the requirements.. she quickly shook her head discarding the thought as she continued washing the dishes however her irritation slipped through her facade and she broke a clay plate in her hands effectively slicing her palm open. "I am such a klutz!" She snapped aloud at herself. She looked at the damage glaring in disgust when the wound didn't heal. Sniffing her hand she sighed no longer able to smell any traces of vampire blood that had remained in her system from her last master. She sighed and ran her hand under the water her eye fixed on her hand.

Davian sighed when she called herself his slave. "we have talked about this I don't own you You freedom is your own." he said before scooping up some eggs with his fork and began to stuff his mouth with the food that had been prepared for him. It was really good. It was hot and he felt a lot better as if the world melted with each bite. It had been a while since he had a hot meal. It was only when he heard Teela that he stopped eating. "Are you alright teela?" he asked getting up from his seat and walking over to her. he saw the blood rush from her wound. he stood behind her and reached out taking her cut hand in his. he reached over and grabbed some paper towel and folded it in such a way it cover the wound but still allowed flexibility before he pressed it to her wound.he was gental with each action. withing a minute he stopped the bleeding from her hand.

Teela rolled her eyes at Davian's statement. "That is in your eyes, Davian. However when you have been a slave as long as I have you come to terms with what and who you are and what is required of you. In the slave trade the slave serves the person that buys him or her. In my case however I am to serve a certain master for a certain amount of time however due to my history of running I also have an incantation that serves as a summoner. If I run or if Iam no longer in the custody of the one I serve the dealer summons me and I am transported back to the market to be resold or reclaimed. I am a slave Davian. Until I am legally released or unless a master marries me. The incantation lifts and only then can I be free. Until then I am what I am. What you consider me is your business, but at the end of the day the terms do not change." Teela explained as she flexed her hand slowly. Blood didn't flow. She nodded to herself before she continued her task when she finished she gently laid her palm on Davian's chest. "I am glad to have a rational warrior rather than an irrational leech as my master." She gave him a smile before stretching up on her toes placing a soft kiss on his lips then turned and began wiping down the stove without another word

Davian let out another sigh as she explained once again how the slave trade worked here."like I said you have full freedom her and the shop will not be able to do any thing about unless they wish to go through me" he said when she placed the small kiss on his lips his cheeks flushed for a second. he lowered his hair to hide his face. Turning on his heel he walked back over to the table. he took a seat and began to eat again form the plate of food.

Teela continued what she was doing until the kitchen was spotless she then walked over to the glass back door and stared out in silence.
