Out Of Cranium: Tooth is getting pulled Friday. I will try to get internet this weekend if I'm unable to get back on before friday.

...............Rosie listened with visible interest as Valkyrie began to explain her involvement in Gotham. Her smile growing each time a familiar name was mentioned, then fading slightly as she tried to recall the event attached to the name. She couldn't recall Catwoman ever taking in strays... and she didn't remember any museum event that the Scarecrow hit up. She was beginning to feel more and more like she was in a completely different world all together. She wasn't sure how that was possible... but she had managed to create some rather bizarre things when she botched up spells. It could be possible that she just pulled some crap that she'd usually only see on that sifi channel. But... ugh. Still so weird to even try to think about. A different Gotham? No way. This was all just.... stuff that happened on the down low. Or... stuff that happened one day and was forgotten about the next. Yeah... that one was the more likely. With everything that went on with the numerous villains in Gotham, it was likely that someone did something bigger the next day.

...............When the girl revealed that she wasn't human, Rosie's smile fell completely. Her expression, while still greatly attentive, became more serious and thoughtful compared to Valkyrie's Gotham tale. Mostly because this seemed like a more serious situation. The girl was talking about her history, and any story that began with “I'm not human” deserved undivided attention. The other reason for Rosie's sudden change in demeanor was... well she wasn't human herself. Not in the “traditional” or “technical” aspect of the term anyway. She had always considered herself a “normal” girl though. Well, normal in the meta human sort of way. And... normal as far as being raised by a psychopath went.
Rosie's frown fell a little further. Did she mention any of this to her rooftop pal? Would it make her feel better knowing that Rosie was made on the spur of the moment through magic? Would she have to explain the Joker bit then? Would that scare her away? Or would it just sound like she was trying to one-up Valkyrie's story? She didn't want to do that with a girl who could go totally supergirl on metal railing.

...............Then the very odd sight of the giant white....... flying tiger blowing away all of the gas......... drew Rosie's attention away as well. She stared at the thing, blinking several times as she watched it vanish down the street. She couldn't think of anything to say at that point. Joker would have had a slew of things to say, but she just.... was dumbfounded. Where the heck do you find giant flying tigers that blow away toxic gas? In a city no less. That's just.... she wasn't used to supers like this. She was ASSUMING it was some sort of anthromorphic super hero anyway. That was.... the only logical explanation she could think of. Valkyrie spoke again before she did, and all Rosie could do was nod her head in agreement at the comment about the Tiger. She continued to listen to the other girl, but kept her eyes on the trail the Tiger had taken. Still distracted by the previous sight.

” …...squishies?” Rosie asked, turning her full attention back towards Valkyrie. The word had caught her attention. Mostly because it was an odd thing to say in a conversation. A moment later, the latter part of Valkyrie's conversation sank in. ”Oh! You mean it?” Rosie asked, her expression a sudden mix of excitement and relief. And why not? She had no idea where anything was at in this city, and the most she could hope for was a nice rooftop or park tree to curl up and sleep on for the night. Plus this was turning out to be a potential friendship, and that was always a plus as long as her Dad wasn't anywhere near either of them. He tended to scare them off. Or kill them. ”Thank you. You have no idea how much of a relief that is. I have no idea where anything is in this City, who anyone is, who I need to look out for, where I shouldn't go, anything. When no one could help me out at all with getting back to Gotham, I though for sure I'd be camping it out somewhere tonight. Anything with a roof over my head is a good thing.” she continued, then smiled widely. ”And if there's anything you need, just lemme know. A place to stay and saving my skirt, I definitely owe ya.” she said, practically beaming back at the other girl. It was quite clear that her admittance to not being human, or her little history, didn't bother Rosie at all. "I can't do some of the really handy things that you can, but my magic isn't half bad when I can get it to work properly."

Valkyrie

For the first time since she had plucked Rosie from the street, she shows an expression on her face that had nothing to do with her ears.

She smiled, a rare occurance, not that Rosie would know.

Dipping her finger back to the concrete roof, she turns toward Rosie completely, her ears no longer swiveling, her tail taking over that by a swishing to and fro. "Yes we mean it. And you need not thank us. If not for kindess such as this, we would have ceased to exist before we ever had the chance to live. We can answer some of your worries now. As long as you are not committing a crime you will have no trouble from the Titans. Other then that, our own knowledge is rather lacking. We do our best to stay out of trouble. We have always found it easier to mind our own business, and if...illegal aquisition is necessary it is best to do it well with plenty of escape routes open. We suppose it is easier for us as we do not require much of what humans normally require."

Musing thoughtfully, Valkyrie pushed herself up onto her feet with ease, before placing her right hand on Rosie's shoulder, a warm hand. The warmth from her hand, however, was distinctly different from normal humans. We will have to show her our power either way. Now is as good time as any...maybe if she really is one who posses magic she could cast a telepathy spell. Speaking through written words is frustrating. Pulling her hand from Rosie's shoulder, she clasped her hands together. Holding them together for a short time, she then pulled them apart, a spherical blue diamond appearing from between them. Pulling her hands further apart causes the diamond to grow further, and then she pressed her hands together once again, flattening the sphere into a small diamond sheet. Easil the size of a book, but thin as a paper.

Valkyrie holds the sheet up to the nearest light source, before extending her hands out to Rosie, offering her the diamond sheet. Valkyrie holding the sheet up to the light was probably her way of showing how what the sheet was for, and it was. She had constructed it so that a certain type of fraction pattern would occure when held up to the light, a pattern that would reveal the sheet as a map that would lead the holder of said sheet to any one of Valkyries three safe houses. Abandoned places she had set up to hide and rest in.

Once the sheet was accepted, Valkyrie steps to the wall beside the door down, and carves a message in it, "Follow the path of the tri-tailed fox, and look for its symbol at the location. That is where we shall make you welcome. First we shall make a path out of this place. The gas is gone, but it's victims still suffer. They will chase us without a doubt. That, and we must be sure to have food for you to eat. Be safe."

Valkyrie smiled again at Rosie, before pulling the metal railing from the door handle, opening it and dashing down. Her progress down can be heard from above by the shouts and screams of those who are still held fast by the fear gas' grip. Soon enough she was out on the street and runing to the east, collecting herself quite a number of groupies who wanted her head on a silver platter.

OOC:The location of the place she's talking about is in the outskirst of West Street, an abandoned apartment building floor 3 room 33. The actual room has been redesigned as a staircase up to the top floor suite which had been cut off from the rest of the building. Any member of the Titans who visit it (if they do) will notice a similarity to their tower.

Out Of Cranium: Finally might be able to get back into a semi-regular schedule. Sorry about the wait.

...............Rosie let her smile grow in response to the other girl's sudden change in mood. She seemed happy now, and Rosie was always glad to see someone smile. In the “normal” sort of way that was. Not the twisted rigamortis smile she usually seen other people give around her dad. Her smile was sort lived as she read what Valkyrie wrote on the concrete floor though. She wouldn't have trouble as long as she wasn't committing any crimes. Well, that took out a rather large chunk of “fun things to do” from her list. She wasn't used to acting like a “normal” girl, so she really didn't know what to do for fun other than go “shopping” or mess and tease other people. If she didn't learn how to have her own fun, the whole “be good” thing could get boring quickly.

Still... she was being given a rather big break considering the circumstances. And she was making a new friend. The least she could do is try to be a calm, good little girl for a while.

...............Rosie watched in awe and curiosity as the other girl created the pretty little map from virtually the air itself. That was a neat little trick. Summoning or creating things was always something she wished she could do better. She had a feeling she was going to have fun simply watching this girl use her powers. They were definitely something to watch, and they were definitely pretty. When Valkyrie handed her the diamond sheet, Rosie carefully took it in both hands. It looked fragile, and she didn't want to drop it accidentally. She looked down at it for a moment, then back up at Val... she may see if she can call her that at some point... as the girl moved towards the door. Her eyes flickered over the message, then a smile returned to the red girl's face.

”You got it. I'll meet you there once I get to it. And thank you. Really.” Rosie said with a sincere smile.

...............When Valkyrie broke the makeshift lock and bolted down the stairs, Rosie leaned over the edge of the building to watch the streets. Wanting to make sure her new friend made it out of the building safely. As well as down the street safely. Once she seen her leave the building, and rush down the street unharmed, Rosie smiled and moved away from the edge of the building. This was turning out to be one heck of a day. It started out pretty crappy. But now... she might actually make a friend. One that will last longer than a week. Had she ever had that before? She's had people Joker had hired to watch over her when she was little, but that was about it. Even then they were hired to be with her. They didn't really count as friends. And they never lasted long. Usually got killed some way or the other.

She was going to have a friend. A cool friend. And she had to be good for a while. For how long? Should she be bad now and get it out of her system? Take advantage of all the chaos the gas had created and just... meh. And what, waste her rounds? Waste her gas? Leave some smiling corpses along with the malled and trampled? Make them think Joker was here too?

...hehe... not that it wouldn't be fun. But still. Wasting gas, and no one would know it was her. Or they would figure it out, and then she'd be in trouble by the “Titans”.

….and her new friend would be in trouble too.

…. okay, she didn't want to do that one.

With a small sigh, Rosie leaned back over the edge of the railing and looked down. With no one running up the stairs to the roof anymore, she felt safe just standing there for a bit. ...how exactly was she getting through the streets? Magic? Magic. No fun with gas, fun with magic instead.

With a smile that began to mirror infamous grin her famous father wore before he was about to create a little mischief, Rosie lept over the edge of the building. Free falling straight down to the pavement below.
