Sasha laughs, ignoring his bow for now. Watching him run off, she goes about her duties as Captain until his return. At his comment she laughs softly. "If I want you naked you'd know it. And in stripping I just meant down to your shorts. We're all going in except Rachelle. I've got to work on a new First Mate so you're going in first. I'll take the second shift. We have to anchor a ways from the reef, so you'll have to row in then dive. You'll have a deep swim though." Sasha nods at Rachelle, though no one is getting naked. The captain herself is remaining in her skirt and top. It's simply easier and quicker to dive without extras on, and certainly without weapons.

James raised an eye brow at her statement. "Work on a new first mate? Oh no you wretched woman you finally did it!" putting both hands on his face pretending to to hide a shocked expression, more of his regular theatrics. "You've killed the captain and taken this ship as your own!" he moved closer to her and whispered into her ear. "If you asked me it needed to be done. I support your choice 110%, captain. Now where would one apply to be your successor?" he stayed close to her covering his mouth to make sure no one would even see his lips. Maybe being a little too secretive, but ever his annoyingly charming self. He took a moment to look over at Rachelle while waiting for a reply. "I'd never be smug, love. Also keep those gorgeous eyes away I'm not decent.

Sasha laughs and shakes her head. "We've had no Captain for quite some time. I finally gave up on her returning and took over as was my right and duty as First Mate. You're on the list for it, no worries. I've got my eye on you for it. In about ten minutes you'll row out. We'll see how you do."

Rachelle nodded back at Sasha and walked back to her cabin. She could really go for some rest and water. Their dead... I'm a failure at life and my job.... If master found out, what would he say? I can imagine the disappointed look in his eyes, I ran off and I failed at my mission... Rachelle had already cried so much that she couldn't cry anymore. She kept tossing and turning. Sleep is for the weak.. I'm weak so it's okay

James backed away from the captain and looked out towards the sea speaking with his back to Sasha. "I'm on the list? Who else is as capable me? " he spoke with unfounded temerity, why was he so intrigued in getting this promotion? All it meant was more responsibility. Maybe James was trying to solidify his worth on this ship. After all, he had chosen this over starting a new life. His brow furrowed, being pensive and serious didn't suit him at all. He turned sharply with a refreshed smile James was forcefully trying to smother the serious thoughts in his mind. "I suppose flattery won't help? With all due respect captain, I like your diving attire." it couldn't hurt. Well it could, he didn't really care.

Sasha laughs softly, "You are next in line of course, but you still need to prove ready for it. Anyone could be promoted to First Mate." She turns taking care of some other things while he's off in his mind. When he turns back she nods. "You're quite right, it won't. I do like your new attitude though. Flirting doesn't work on me James." Standing at her helm, she calls the order to drop anchor. "Alright boys, head on out. Team two will wait here until we know if you've found anything or not."

James shoulders dropped slightly in disappointment like a young boy who is trying to learn a skill and simply can't get it right. "One day madam, I shall melt that icey heart of yours." Quite the task for one to set, then again James seldom made goals for himself so those that he did were brazen indeed. When the captain ordered the first crew to head about he realized two things: He still wasn't all that happy to do work and he had no clue what he was supposes to do exactly. "Uh, captain we're to row towards the reef and dive into the water to looks for this rune, correct? I don't suppose there is anything you're forgetting to mention?" he reflectively reached for his weapons already missing their safety.

Rachelle got up and walked back to the deck. She saw that everyone was getting ready, "You aren't taking your weapons." She rubbed her head and looked to see the crew getting ready to dive in. "I mean, it might way you down and all.

"James, my heart is perfectly warm. It's simply not taken by charmers. No, nothing I'm not mentioning. Those of you who can last longer below the surface should go the deepest. Let the Humans look over the top of the reef." Turning to Rachelle she nods. "That's exactly why everyone's taken them off and stored them."

He looked over to Rachelle, " You ever try to fire a flintlock underwater?" The second mate joked. While the new captain spoke to him, James stretched his back and rolled his shoulders with his eyes closed and smiling. No doubt thinking of something clever to say. "Captain, you speak as if I was solely a charmer that is just a simple flaw of mine. Your words condemn me to march for eternity!" James was referencing the fate given to all seducers in Dante's Inferno, a book he'd read as a child... to impress a girl. He nodded to the men and jumped into the water next to the ship. It felt amazing. James was an excellent swimmer although he had never been fond of diving as drowning was not very high on the list of things he wanted to experience. He waited until the boat dropped into the water then jumped in.

Rachelle rolled her eyes at him. Whatever... She wouldn't say it though. She walked back to the cabin to take a nap. Must recharge, can't be weak. Though she earlier thought tha sleep was fr the weak, but to be strong you must be weak at first, right?

After a few hours Sasha calls them back and they head down the coast a bit. Heading out with her own team, Sasha smirks. Anchoring near the reef, they dive in; Sasha goes deep being able to last quite awhile under the water. Swimming along the reef, she searches it with her hands. She slices up her hands a few times but they heal. The glowing from her healing even helps her sea a bit. Heading up for air, she then heads back down. All of them fan out looking for the rune. It's several hours, and her wiggling deep inside the reef, later when she finally grabs onto something non coral. Bringing it up to the surface she looks at it. Suddenly she swims back to her row boat and climbs in. Heading back to her ship, she rings the bell to call everyone back. As she waits, she heads into her cabin locking away the rune then hiding it well. When everyone returns she smiles triumphantly. "We have the Law Rune!! No one is to touch it. If I find you trying to use it I will personally shove you off the ship into the deepest parts of Davy Jone's locker."

James lay in his hammock reading his book for what had to be the 4th time when he heard his captain. Reflexively shutting it and throwing it into his belongings. Making sure he calmed himself before going back up. All the swimming had darkened him up nicely. He stepped back into the sun shielding his eyes momentarily trying to find the sound of her voice. He moved in close and covered his hand shielding his words from the crew. Why was he being so damn secretive?"Captain, About that promotion. I can't help but notice I did my last assignment without complaining once." he chuckled. "But no need to rush you." James backed away slightly leaning against the railing. "Oh by the way, what is this rune business about?" He asked speaking softly enough that it'd be hard for anyone but the two to listen in, unless they were in the close vicinity.

Rachelle got out of the cabin and walked to the very back. What's the big deal about this that she doesn't want us to touch? She didn't care though, but she was curious. She wouldn't dare touch it though, she was her captain and her first rule was to never disobey her. But she was really curious. Maybe James knew, after all he did go searching for it. Should she ask? She walked next to James, and whispered, "What's so good about this thing?"

James leaned against the railing with his arms crossed waiting for a response when Rachelle approached. His eyes looked towards the sky as she whispered. The second mate sucked his teeth slightly before responding, "I've no clue, love. But I'm sure the captain will be happy to divulge some information." He made a motion towards the captain with his head. In truth, James was as curious as she was.
