Bio: Alyss was born the only child of noble and businessman William Blackheart, her mother is completely unknown to Alyss; her father has refused her a single detail of the woman who gave birth to her. He father, though well-known and highly thought of in society, he was also (not to the knowledge of most) involved in a shadier side of business. Being as young and innocent as she was at this age, Alyss didn’t understand that her father while also involved in legitimate business was a criminal. She was raised in both her father’s workplace and at home with maids. Women in society often viewed William as a strong man struggling to raise his odd little daughter. This didn’t bother Alyss, she was a happy girl who made her own fun and often followed things on a whim. Curiosity was her downfall though. Occasionally Alyss would have small rebellious tantrums in which she would act out in some form against her father, this wasn’t too common as in these years despite occasional harsh actions or negligence they had a good relationship. However when Alyss was 13 things went overboard, Alyss was angry and his in one of her father’s institutes after he slapped her for trying to get information about her mother. Stumbling upon some very secret files, when she was found her father was furious that she snuck into a highly off-limits area. With no chance to read the files she was dragged off, but the line was crossed when she tried to sneak back after warning. Eventually her father sent her away to a laboratory, apparently in order to teach her obedience, though as far as the public was concerned, the young girl had been kidnapped.
It was her living nightmare. After a year of just being captive, observing and witnessing, doctors took care in examining her, experimenting on her in the name of their “science”, a science that Alyss grew to detest… and fear. She was broken and abused her carefree nature and innocence stolen right out from under her. Eventually William came back for her when she turned sixteen, feeling the three years of captivity were enough. When Alyss was released she went back with her father, who happily proclaimed to the public his daughter had escaped her captives… she didn’t expose his lies. This “new” Alyss let his lies seem like truth and returned home.
Alyss was different, but she acted happy again, but the girl was no longer innocent, she could be darker, colder, sneakier and nobody would ever know the difference unless it was too late. She was upset at her father, for putting her through hell and expecting her to be devoted because of it. However she is exacting her revenge slowly, carefully, acting like the daughter he wants her to be. Though Alyss is also running her own business on the side now, started by chance while betraying top secret information, selling it in exchange for a deal. Already being rich though, she hardly ever asks for money, so making a deal with her is a gamble considering one never knows what her conditions will be. Of course, the young woman uses an alias and few realize who she is unless she wants them to.
Despite many rumours Alyss is not a demon however and not a contractor of a demon. In fact Alyss considers her soul on of the last things she has and plans on holding it dear. Despite this though she has dealt with demons, she’s been known to find demons willing contractors with the condition that she get a favour. Hence why with her occasional help from demons Alyss or as the dealing world knows her The Queen of Hearts, Marie Inkheart, she is suspected of being a demon herself.

Weapon: Primarily a parasol with a blade hidden within it, but she also owns a few daggers, which may or may not be poisoned as she is also a poison expert.
Fighting Style: Alyss does what she can to avoid conflict, if it’s minor she’ll usually just slip her victim one of her poisons, however if things get nasty Alyss has a few tricks hidden up her sleeve, usually using the element of surprise as well as taking advantage of her small size and quick movements. She also uses her amazing balance and minor acrobatic abilities.
Abilities: Alyss is capable of surprising amounts of stealth and is light on her feet, making her a formidable opponent especially as far as humans go. She’s also a great actor, masterfully disguising her true emotions at all times. She’s also unknown to almost everybody a very talented artist, it may have been her career if it had not been for her unfortunate turn of events in life.
