Kakkara18 Angel_Kitten_Sweetheart Not that I've noticed! I see more aggressive, prissy, or just down right rude artists than the shy ones. And I do try to be polite, kind, yet clear on what I want. And then I get the artists that don't even draw what I ASK them too, but just draw the tektek when the tektek has major flaws in it. x.x It's as if half the artists can't READ!I try to draw what people ask, but if you give me a tektek or reference image with flaws, I'm probably only going to be 50/50 on whether I get the adjustments right, as I have a hard time with 90% of the descriptions I'm given....and the tektek/image ref is right there to work from, so I'll probably try to go from that.....so I dunno if saying artists can't read is accurate...Rather we may not know what you meant, forget to make a note before drawing, never clarified what you said and guessed instead, or just got lazy....though if I'm being paid I'll never be lazy enough not to be sure I have it right, and I'll be sending WIP's as I go, so...I don't usually have that problem. Freebies are all pretty much lazy for me though, as I tend to draw them as stress relief, and end up missing a lot of detail.
I do not get lazy. I always state the details I want clearly. Such as the avie has blond hair that turns burgandy at the tips. I state..she has blond hair with burgandy STREAKS going through it, not with tips. And they still color it according to the tektek. I wonder if I should give them a picture to work with, instead of a tektek to begin with.
Freebies I understand. The person can be as lazy as they want. Give me tiny wings instead of big ones, not add color, or perhaps just draw it so wrong it's not even me...but that's what you get with a feebie. I just normally think that if someone is going to take their time, effort, and I am going to pay them..they should READ what I write.
The big thing, is that I have artists that are drawing what I'm wearing instead of the obvious tektek I DO give them. x.x I mean, what's up with THAT!!?? As if they blatantly ignore what I ask for, and am PAYING for, even with a tektek, and instead draw what ever I'm wearing at the time? x.x Artists are just getting more and more frustrating these days. For me that is.
At least you give wip! That way the person doesn't just get a finished worth with major flaws in it. Not everyone does that.
