Rednal Ak'Thias and Aselia Bluespirit

"Yeah, funny thing about that, we don't know. And if you whine that I'm lying, then you're being a freaking idiot and need to start using your head. My friends and I do not like the guy, and he doesn't like us. In fact, he's probably planning something we're not going to like, and if we could take him out before that happens, we would. If I did know, I'd tell you, because that'd honestly be easier on me. Do you have any other questions?"

Aichi nodded lightly as Rednal stated that he didn't know where the man had been....Or was...
And then went on a tangent about why he wouldn't be lying. The boy smiled, and sheathed his weapon.
[b}"Thank you." the boy mused. "It's refreshing to have someone answer me for a change. I'm used to being the one that gets asked all the questions."
A sigh escaped his lips, as he started to slump over.
"Honestly, I thought I would be done with the gopher stuff when I joined the team."
A remark surprisingly human..considering the amount of bloodshed, and damage that had been dealt mere moments prior.
"Sorry to have bothered you about it."
At this though, another voice piped up. One stating the three to be criminals, and that they should pay before thinking of Destroying more. He nervously chuckled, and turned to the black haired one.
"Ahahaha..Yeah. We really should." he mused lightly, as he slightly slid towards Rednal, like a child being scolded. "Though, I'm kind of short at the moment. So.."

The boy's persona emerged even faster than before at this, gripping Rednal by the throat, as Ice started to encase his entire being, from head to Toe. Aichi's demeanor didn't shift in the slightest as his Persona unleashed a powerful strike, offhandedly.
"My...associate will have to really speak with you." he mused, the large figure tossing Rednal over towards the black haired interloper with little more than a casual thought. He looked to the girl that had been beside him lightly, as if Rednal had merely been pestering her, and was being ejected from a club.
"Sorry about this, miss."

"Hey!" Ishimaru spoke, though only getting little out as when he looked at the blue-haired boy, he was already having to change gears to catch the other criminal(?) that he threw at him, presumably with his own persona. "Is this how you treat your own comrades? Your horrible..." Immediately, he withdrew his tsurugi, normally wrapped and sealed within his rules, and held it in front of him in a defensive manner, ready for what might come before him.

Rednal Ak'Thias and Aselia Bluespirit

So THIS is why I'm not usually nice. Aw, frick it.

The ice containing Rednal smashed against the ground, and as he tumbled over. "You're right, you are pretty short - in both height and brains. 'Course, I don't feel like everything being exposed to the tons of cops who are probably on their way here right now, so... buh-bye." And with that, he shot outside, followed by Aselia (who was no slouch herself) as they headed away from the area. Was that wrong of him? Some might have said so. On the other hand, Rednal's powers were generally explosive. He didn't want to transform and fight in public, and if they fought there, people would only get hurt more as collateral damage. He wasn't planning to let that happen.

A sigh escaped the boy's lips, as the silver haired boy, and the blue haired girl started to flee the scene.
"Why do they always run?" he groaned, looking up at the other boy. He had a weapon...and he was appalled at his actions.
"Sorry.." he added....The boy's figure passing by Ishimaru in a flash. HE wasn't given much acknowledgement, but a single bloody stain on the proper persona user's coat would show that he wasn't entirely ignored...
Though, he was given the slightest bit of mercy. But if he followed.

Rednal Ak'Thias and Aselia Bluespirit

Following the rather excessive violence - and some time spent applying lots of magic to Aselia's wounds - the two of them quietly returned to the ruins, where plenty of emergency personnel were working to get things back in order. For quite a long time, Rednal simply looked at it... and then Aselia tugged on his sleeve. She simply tilted her head as he looked over, obviously wondering whether or not he felt he'd done the right thing.

"...Yes." Rednal sighed, leaning backwards and thumping his head against the wall as he looked up at the sky. "I can't predict when people were doing crazy things, and the alternative is, what, becoming a hermit who never goes anywhere, just because someone might be completely out of their minds and decide to attack innocent people to make a point?" he sighed. "I feel bad for them, and I wish I could have done more... but the world learned a long time ago that appeasement doesn't work. It didn't work for the Native Americans when the colonial settlers arrived on their shores. It didn't work for the European countries when Nazi Germany started expanding. And it doesn't work on a personal level, either."

"If people think that threatening innocents will help them get what they want, they're just going to do it more. It encourages them, so the only proper response in situations like that is to reject it, to let them know that no matter how many others they threaten, it won't sway your decision in the slightest. No deals with people who'd spread terror - period. If they don't think it'll work, it might stop them from trying it in the first place, and that's the best way to protect people. It's just..." A few tears trickled down his face, and Aselia pulled him over so he could cry into her shoulder instead. He was a boy, after all - from an early age, they were taught that to show emotion was weakness, and he'd had a worse case of it than most. Growing up in the hospital, he had to be strong, to be ready to deal with whatever invasive procedures were necessary. That had carried over to the rest of his life, and Aselia knew that even now, he didn't want her to see his face when he was like this.

"I hate feeling so powerless. I mean, I'm not stupid." he whispered. "Something obviously strange was going on there. I know exactly how hard I fought to get where I am today, and people don't just randomly get so much power out of nowhere. There has to be something behind it, maybe even something we can exploit... but I can't stand feeling so weak that an indecisive loser who doesn't even know what he's doing can just... toy with us like that. What the hell is my power for if not to protect the people I care about... to protect you? I fought Nyarlathotep with my friends - an actual freaking eldritch god, and it's still not enough. I just... I feel like if I'm not strong enough, then my life has no mea-mmmph!"

For almost twenty seconds, Aselia kept her lips pressed to Rednal's, slowly pressing harder and harder until she finally broke off and pulled back a little, smiling gently at him as some of her hair tumbled over one shoulder. She tightened her embrace a moment later, then looked Rednal right in the eyes. "It isn't about whether you win or lose. It's about how you do what you do." she said softly, breaking from her usual monosyllabic method of communication. It wasn't that she couldn't talk, after all - it was just that she rarely had anything to say. Today was an exception. "You're upset because you care so much about others, and I love that about you, but I don't need you to protect me. We're in this together, and when things are too hard to handle on your own, just rely on those around you a little more." she gently entwined her fingers with his. "You have friends who want to help you just as much as you want to help them. Together, you can do anything, so don't try to force yourself to be alone. No matter how bad things may seem, we'll always be there for you when you need us."

By the time she was finished, Rednal's shoulders were shaking, and he was quite openly crying into her shoulder again. "You're... the best. You really are the best." he whispered.
