*Be sure to keep up with posting. Or else you may have your turn skipped.

Midday and though the sun was shining bright it was still a little chilly from the constant wind blowing from the north. The base located on the outer rim of the city was in a buzz with the preparation of the ZOID raffle and rumors of the serial killer on the loose. Rumors of the fabled Judge of the Ancients returning to reap the mortal souls of the Republic was among the more common tales by nervous cadets. Those who felt they knew more on the subject blamed an anti-Imperial enthusiast trying to stir the pot.

All four victims were found bound with their hands behind their backs, blindfolded, feet nailed together and with a judge's mallet tied in their mouths. The word "repent" was carved in each victim's forehead. Everyone seemed to have their own idea on the symbolism.

User ImageKard was personally very unnerved by the information floating about and swore he would scream if one more person brought up the gory details on more time. He was already upset that he had to come all this way on his Father's wishes. Someone had to make sure the special command-wolf bonded Organoids would adapt to their new owners. Dr. Fox was too busy checking the progress from one of his 'experiments' he had performed a month ago. Kard still shivered at the thought. Despite his fathers strict words not to enter the lab, Kard had by unfortunate means caught a glimpse of the end result of that experiment.

He shook his head to remove the image from his mind. The less thought about the better. His father only wished to aid humanity... he wasn't a monster.

Kard cleared his throat as he turned to the pods keeping the two wolf organoids. These would have to go to special soldiers. Hopefully General Nicodemus would arrive soon to over see the handing out of the two command wolves. Kard was sure that a decision like that wouldn't do well when left in his hands. He couldn't tell a good soldier from an amateur, or so he told himself. Robots were where it's at. MRZ were easier to read than people were...

Seraphim walked into the base his blades in their resting position, the blade liger came to a halt beside a white command wolf. Such a drab paint job, Then again most of them had been so boring.

--

Ares had mostly been stripped of his equipment, de-armed looking more like a regular gunsniper than he had for a long time. Poor guy, Lorna came in behind Angelina, they Lorna smiled softly as the zoid AI complained now and then about it.

"You'll get your stuff back, don't want to wander into the base fully armed do you?" though with what had been going on lately... she did have the thought in the back of her mind. four soldiers had been murdered, and Lorna had herd the rumors about the judge, what ever that was. She didn't pay much attention to history. It creeped her out, she really didn't want to know.

The zoid grumbled, he still had the signature sniper rifle and the radar but he still felt rather naked. Lorna pulled the zoid in beside Seraphim the blade liger before opening the cockpit. they were supposed to help guard the organoids after what happened. Lorna shivered as she opened the cockpit then glanced toward Angelina who was emerging from her zoid as well.

---

"Let's get going!" she hopped out of her zoid and the dragon organoid Raziel was already on the floor to meet them. Skylar on the other hand was told to stay with Seraphim this time. he curled up on the seat as the cockpit closed.

angelina looked around "mhm some one was supposed too meet us." she spoke to Lorna who stood beside her now.

Kard rubbed the back of his head than continued to check the status of the wolf-organoids, going back and forth between the two computer screens checking the progress of the memory wipe. It seemed cruel, but some people didn't understand how hard it was for an organoid to loose a bonded pilot. A memory wipe was humane.

He sighed than turned about face as a soldier grabbed his attention.
"Yes? Oh..." He reached out and took the offered clipboard. After the soldier left he begun to flip through the papers clipped together. Names, ranks and -he looked at the first sheet that had a symbol key on it- outstanding achievements.

Kard rubbed the back of his head again. These must be all the candidates of the organoids and the wolves. No one he recognized off the bat.

A soldier emerged from a nearby corridor "Private Solaris, Cadet Morrice?" he asked the two women with a salute "I'm here to take you to the organoid room."

Both Angelina and Lorna straightened and returned the salute

"We are sir," Angelina replied first, "Please lead the way Sir, I'm unsure as to which room they've been placed in on this base, we didn't get a very descriptive assignment package." she brought her saluting hand down.

"Good, right on time!" The other soldier said before leading the two women to the same Room Kard was performing the memory wipe in. "Right this way," he said opening the door. "We have Dr. Fox's son here performing the memory wipe." he motioned to Kard whose back was turned at the moment. "Don't touch anything and leave the boy to his work." he added allowing them entrance before promptly turning away and leaving.

“Sir!” Angelina and Lorna gave one final salute as the other soldier left. The two women took up stations at either side of the door keeping an eye on things and the other soldiers in the room.

The woman thought for a moment, that guy looked oddly familiar. It took her a few moments to realize her acquaintance, “Kard!”She said unexpectedly an action that caused her to flush a bit. That wasn’t very soldier like.

Lorna looked over curious of Angelina’s acquaintance.

Kard had overheard the solder speak of him as if he were not there. Really? Was he that much of a useless device to be mentioned to as "Dr. Fox's son" or "Boy"? His brow furrowed at the insult. Of course it was expected. Not very many people saw anything he ever did. His father got all the credit for repairing the Giga Gojulas Nightmare, though he had scrapped the project and Kard had picked it up.

His mind wasn't left to stew in these thoughts long however as a familiar voice called him by name. A deep crimson flush covered his cheeks as he froze, crimson eyes wide. They HAD to send a woman to be his guard for this event?!

But not just any woman... Kard slowly turned around to see the same two woman he saw at the ball. The same two women that seem to have a dandy time picking on him. Maybe. CURSE HIS FATHER FOR NOT LETTING HIM INTERACT ONCE IN A WHILE!

"Uh... hello cadet ah... A-Angelina. and... Lul-Lorna..." He tried so hard not to mumble.

Angelina smiled at Kard "It's Private now." she corrected politely she hadn't seen the guy since the formal though she had no Idea he had been Dr. Fox's son. she'd only ever seen the guy at a distance once or twice. "I haven't seen you since the formal." She said trying to strike up some innocent conversation oblivious to the fact she was the source of his discomfort.

Raziel came out from behind Angelina and gazed up at Kard craning it's long neck to get a glance at the wolf organoids behind then back to Kard he seemed familiar.

"This is Raziel, have you met her before?" she asked him curiously, before glancing over at Lorna "Oh I'm sorry I'm doing all the talking."

She shook her head toward Angelina, Lorna then gave Kard a light bow only offering a quiet "Hello again." She didn't move from her post at the side of the door. She had never been too talkative, she was just excellent at following orders.

"O-Oh, congratulations." Kard offered weakly. Ah, right, promotions were involved with soldiers. As far as what they meant though, Kard was at a loss. All he knew was the general was above everyone else.

Thankfully she presented him with something that he knew a little more about and felt a great deal more comfortable being around.

"Oh, Silver. Yes... I am *ahem* one of the-" He had to pause as he considered whether or not he could consider himself a scientist or not. "-one of the people who worked on the project."

The blush had yet to fade from his face, but he did seem a little more comfortable as he looked the organoid over. A custom made to order organoid. So this must have been the special individual the buyer mentioned.

"I was responsible for the organoid's design... and the program for its mind..."

Kard blinked as he realized he was being showboat-ish and promptly turned around to face the two screens containing the wolf-organoid data.
"And Lorna, h-how is that Sniper running?"

Blue Spirit and Thera approached the gate of the base. The sun may have been shining, but the recent events had cast a shadow on what could have been a nice albeit chilly day. She had in fact only met one of the deceased, but any loss on their side… sucked, for lack of a better word. The details had been rumored and from what she had heard it was a pretty gruesome sight. This meeting was not mandatory, but Thera thought it best that she go.

Spirit, her Shield Liger, let out a soft growl. She patted the liger’s monitor “Thanks Spirit,” Thera responded. The growl was meant to comfort her and snap her out of her thoughts at the same time. She slowed the Zoid down to a walk as they got closer and passed through the entrance. She was surprised to see the infamous wing blade, or maybe she shouldn’t have been. Stationed next to the wing blade was a mostly disarmed gunsniper, her liger made a noise that could be likened to sympathy for the poor thing. Thera maneuvered Spirit in and pulled to a stop near the gunsniper figuring that she would be out of the way there. With one last look around, wondering where she should go, Thera opened the c**k pit and disembarked Spirit. Once on the ground she patted one of the liger’s huge paws and set off.

"Thank you," Angelina smiled

"You did?" she said surprised glanced at Raziel "Raziel is amazing." she said grateful "I'm glad you worked on her, I always wanted to thank whoever designed her." she smiled, Angelina had always been impressed by Raziel, "I still have yet to thank Cruse, I haven't been allowed to see him yet..." she added regrettably, She only knew he had been discharged after their encounter with... Angelina brought her hand to her head as a sudden throbbing seemed to occur as she tried to remember what it was.

Raziel gave a nod of confirmation, she did remember him now. She felt herself more intelligent than most of the other organoids that had been created through the labs.

She was curious to see how the memory wipe was performed. She could feel the other organoids pain at loosing their bonded human. The glanced at the pods behind sadly, If Angelina ever died she knew she would be in the same place as them... She reached out her neck and nudged Angelina's side. The organoid hoped that wouldn't happen ever, but so did these two wolves...

Angelina smiled fondly at the organoid "It'll be ok Raziel." she tried to comfort the silver dragon. She did however understand the concerns of the Organoid.

Lonra gave a nod "Ares is still running smoothly I do most of his maintenance myself now." She had started asking the mechanics when she got him about it. She wanted to keep him in top shape on her own and helping them with their load on their own. "he's currently been stripped of most of his equiptment." she finished still staying in her spot by the door.

Unlike the others in the base, one soldier did not arrive via ZOID-

Rather by the deathtrap of a jeep driven by a decaffinated, sleep-robbed, crazed older brother. Fishtailing slightly as it pulled to a stop, the driver turned in his seat as the passenger bounced out and rounded to his side.

"You gunna be okay, kiddo?"

"I'll be FINE! Cripes, you worry too much." Smiling and tucking a stray strand of blond hair behind her ear, Mya gave the male relation a peck on the cheek. "Besides, it's not like anything bad is going to happen, right?"

"I suppose...."
"Couldn't be any worse then you driving while attempting to write data-"
"HEY!"
Mya only laughed softly, eyes lifting slightly as a Blue Liger moved into the bay area nearby before returning to her brother. "But seriously, i'll be fine. You go do whatever it is you do before you fall asleep at the wheel."

He snorted and started the jeep again; the twinkle in his eye, however, removed the rebuke entirely as he backed out and waved a goodbye before driving off. Waiting until he was out of sight, the young cadet shifted the gun bag on her shoulder a bit before moving on; as she walked into the hanger, emerald eyes spotted the Liger from before...And that must have been its pilot.

"Good morning!" She cast a friendly wave towards both ZOID and human as she walked.

Blitz Mischief Masters

User Image
"Come to the raffle, they said." Blitz grumbled to himself as he walked down a certain hall way, to a particular hanger where he was ordered to be at. He just didn't fully understand-why. It was bothersome, Pointless and worse of all on his 'day off'. Ptth, for it to be wasted here. He already had a Zoid, a damn good one. Better then any around.

"It would be good, for you to get to know the others. Yeah, bullshit..." The dark hair male mocked, his gloved hands slung in his pockets he became quite as he approached the hanger. The last thing he needed was others asking who he was talking to.

Turning a corner that lead the door, to the Hanger. Blitz lazily pushed open the door, letting out a breath he took in the fresh air that swept inside the large garage like area that was welcomed by a open hanger door. His eye looked up to cetch the sight of the 'new' Zoids to be handed out...like toys on Christmas. What he didn't see was the other cadet walking into the Hanger eying a liger then it's pilot.

Before it was too late and he heard the loud 'good morning', Blitz turned his head only to collide into the girl that held the gun bag on her ******** glare shot across, Blitz's one eyed gaze as a snarl shown on his lips and wrinkled his nose at the bump. Sure it was his fault-but he was mostly annoyed that the fact of the collision was because of his obvious weakness. The covered right eye, that couldn't be completed with sight. Steading himself he looked at the woman he had bumped into, his alarmed gaze blinked and became emotionless once more. A Icy stillness. And not so much as a 'sorry' or 'excuse me' left his lips...yet.

Kard rubbed the back of his head as the complements begun to fly. Silver by far had been his favorite organoid to work on. The last one he got to work on was the wolves and before that a rat.

"T-thanks." He stuttered. "C-Cruse? Oh, right."

He hadn't really forgotten that name. Now that Kard had thought of it he had heard a few soldiers talking about a "Cruse" coming to the event for some kind of therapy thing. To help ease him back into society.

Kard nodded slowly as he debated playing gossip for a moment. "I-I hear that a Cruse will be here today... to oversee the raffle. Or something along the lines..."

He blinked than turned to Lorna. "Th-that's good. Easier to upkeep with your own companion... Knight is the same way.... Almost got all the system bugs fixed..."

Thera stopped when she heard someone call out a greeting. It didn't take too long to figure out who it was. Thera waved back and started to respond when she noticed someone else walking in and they were currently on a collision course with the lady who had greeted her.

"Hey, look ou--t," she had almost finished when the guy walked right into her. Granted she totally got why he ran into her, the young woman being in his blind spot and all. She knew his pain, having been blind in her left eye since she was 15.

Thera changed direction and headed over to the scene of the collision. About that same time Sonnet, who had slipped in just in time to witness the accident spoke up.

Sonnet walked onto the base quietly complaining to herself about the person who just dropped her off. If her crappy jeep hadn't been in the shop, she wouldn't have had to do that. She simmered down the closer she got to the hangar.

In fact she got to the hangar just in time to see a man collide with a woman carrying a big gun off some kind, probably a rifle... 'hope it's not loaded,' she thought to herself, she quickly shook her head. No one who knows guns would carry a rifle or whatever was in that bag loaded. "You guys ok?" she asked as she walked farther into the hangar.

"Huh- Ack!"
Gripping the strap with one hand (and no, thank goodness, the weapon wasn't loaded. Grandpapa would have had her hide if Mya has done something so stupid), the cadet took a few stumbling steps foreward to correct a lost sense of balance before spinning to see her collider-

Only to blink a few times at the expression on his face, eyes flicking slightly towards the eye patch; it explained a good deal as to why and since he wasn't going to make the first move-

"Im sorry, I shouldn't have stopped like that." Mya smiled in apology and bowed slightly at the waist before two others walked over to the scene of the crime. "It's my fault and I take the blame." Straightening herself, and shifting the rifle bag a bit, a small nod was directed at the two newcomers. "Im alright but....."

Mya turned her attention back towards the male. "I hope I didn't hit you or anything with this, did I?" Her concern was legitiment as she motioned towards the bag. The sniper weapon was heavy and, usually on contact with limb, tended to bring bruises near eighty percent of the time.

Looking down at the girl, He watched her mood carefully-curious to what she would do. Especially with the scowl that rested on his face as they started to gather a crowd. He didn't pay them much attention, as he stood there, solid. His hand slung in his pocket. Though, What he did notice was was her eyes glancing up to his 'dead' eye. In retort, his head turned to keep her gaze off of it. It really wasn't something he liked being pointed out-noticed-or even taken as the handicap that it blindly was. One of the meany reasons-attitude not included-that he was still just a cadet...

Though as the girl didn't seem put off by his bad mood, or dull reaction-but rather-interestingly enough...quickly took a bow. The subtle raise of a cocked eyebrow shown on the male's emotionless face. His chin raised gingery up in a curious matter as his slanted gaze remained frozen in a icy chill.

"I don't need your sympathy. We both know why, I didn't see you." Blitz spoke coldy, scolding the cadet. Such kind submission of fault-as noble as it was-would only harm her and dwarf her carrier as a officer. Looking up from the woman, his single eye looked to those that watched. Letting out a huff, he flicked his head and shifted some of his ebony hair from what was left of his remaining sight.

"Fine." Blitz spoke to the ones curious if he they were 'okay.' Taking a side step from the gathering, he moved to leave the posse. Not caring for how crowed it was becoming.
