Niom groaned as he was trampled while the chimera tried to lay on his lap somehow. "ok, ok, enough!" he gave it a little scratch before pushing on the creature's shoulder,"get off, you're heavy!" not to mention he had bruses from the thing's hoof landing on his leg. "shut up, liki! it may talk, but it's still just an animal, what does it know of love? infatuation, maybe, but love? don't make me laugh." he manuvered out from under the creature somehow and stood up, rubbing at a particlarly bad bruise, "you're too big to lay in my lap like that."

The beast look hurt as Niom moved away from it quickly, dark ears lowering as it gave a whine, or multiple, short whines. It was trying to find a word that it's vocabulary didn't have.

"I don't know, I gave it a very human voice box. That would be like me asking you, what do you know of love? You have been unloved, and the only 'love' you've been shown is your master making a spectacle and no doubt being used. You know as much about love as Edwin does, so why are you so cruel to someone in the same boat as you?"

"Why?" Came the high pitched whine from the creature, looking as Liki knelt downand quickly moved to him for the unprovided attention. Dad-dy, Liki." it said, closing it's eyes at the affection and praise, a deep purr in it's chest as it tried to lean against the man.

Liki had to stand up, letting the creature's weight rest on his parted legs, continuing to scratch and rub. "It is sensitive you know. Not having it's mother love him must be very traumatic indeed. Perhaps I shall let you leave when you do indeed consider Edwin your child."

Niom sighed and knelt in from of the chimera. he caught it's face in his hands nad looked straight into it's eyes, connecting himself with it as he would with any other animal. my not scratching you and petting you does not mean i do not like you. it is not my way to do such things. this is why. he passed the message onto the animal and stood back up after patting it's head. "shut up, Liki. you know nothing of my life so stop speaking as if you do." he shook his head at Liki's saying he'd let Niom leave if Niom said Edwin was his child. "even if i called him such, you would still not free me. i may not know you well, Liki, but i do know that much."

Edwin looked curiously at Niom, ears perking at the voice in it's head. It understood more the tone than the words, and the chimera responded with images and colors and feelings due to lack of a vocabulary. It liked Niom, Niom was his Mamma. Mamma was good. Papa was good. Mamma didn't like Papa. Why? Edwin liked him. The thoughts continued until the connection was broken, leaving the animal sitting there curiously, listening for the voice and almost looking as though it were smiling. "Mamma."

"I said if you considered, not called. That would involve actually growing emotionally attached to the fluffy beast and indeed developing a paternal bond with it. I know I am not emotionally lacking, merely cautious. There is a difference between lust of love, and while I dare to lust for you, I love Edwin, because he is my child. Right now, for all you care you could be my concubine."

Niom eyed the creature curiously, so emotions and pictures worked better with it, hmm? made sense. and he didn't have to make eye contact to dot hat either. "i haven't the emotional compasity to concider such a thing in that way. you ask for the impossible and as for your concubine?" his eyes narrowed, "no chance in hell." to the creature he sent him the slight fear and anxiety that he felt around Liki. he also sent a picture of his book and how much he charished it, but that Liki was keeping it and wouldn't let him have it back, which made Niom worried and not like Liki.

"Everyone has the emotional capacity, even demons, my beloved healer." he explained. "and I have met demon's from hell, seductive little beasts, so very handsome. So yes, every chance in hell. It is a place of torture and misgivings after all." and walked away back down the hall, humming to himself gently. he was going to leave Edwin with Niom for scheming purposes, selfish scheming purposes. The warlock never did anything without a purpose. "Today has been a good day, and it's barely time for supper." he mused.

Brown ears perked again, taking the the 'words' Niom was sending him, unconscious of Liki walking away. But, but there was no reason, Liki was nice, he had only killed Edwin so many times to make him not feel pain, and when he awoke this time he didn't. He was scary, but he was good. The chimera's thoughts were very much like an abused child not wanting o believe their parent was evil. Turning he trotted quickly towards Liki, sniffing at his pockets before finding the book, not catching the victorious grin on the man's face.

There it was! Sticking out of his pants pocket! The chimera nimbly opened his mouth, biting gently into the book and slid it out, but the man's hand caught the other end of it. "Edwin, you can't have this." Liki scolded gently, trying to tug it gently out of the other's mouth. Edwin only bit harder and tugged back.
"Mamma wants." Came the muffled voice.
Liki continued to pull, although gently, letting Edwin do all the hard pulling to no avail. Silver eyes traveled to the mage, sadistic enjoyment painted over the skin before giving a hard tug back. "Does he now? But Mamma is in trouble so he can't have it."

Only did the noises of pain make Edwin let go of the slightly punctured book, trotting over curiously and worried. The warlock turned. "I shall go get a servant to clean you up." He murmured, turning the corner.

Niom was glad when Liki turned to leave him alone and even more glad when the creature went after him, but Liki's grin made him suddenly doubt that this was a good idea. he saw the chimera take the book in his mouth and shivered at the feeling of teeth clamping down around his abdomine. "no, stop-" but it was too late. they were playing tug of war with the book and niom felt like he was being ripped in two. the teeth slowly sunk into his body, piercing the skin as they grew tighter and tighter. Niom fell to his knees and moaned as doezens of teeth marks appeared on his flesh and began to bleed, the book 'bleeding' ink as well. when the chimera finally released the book he collapsed to the ground with a moan and just lay there. he knew he'd heal quickly, but at the same time his collar bone and sternum had been cracked from the pressure placed directly on them. he was just lucky the teeth hadn't been clamped down around his head. "damn you-" he growled at Liki as the mage said a servant would clean him up. he rolled onto his back to put as little pressure on his injuries as possible and looked at the chimera. he couldn't be mad at it, it didn't know better. "no more biting the book, ok?"

Another low whine came from the beast, serpentine tongue quickly lashing out to lick away the blood. Edwin searched for the word in before giving a growl whine sort of mix, nuzzling the other's face in sadness and apology. No more biting the book? But Mamma had wanted it! he was not like mamma and papa, he looked different, he had hurt Mama. he wanted to crawl on him in hopes to comfort him but it would hurt more. he gave another growl/whine and laid by his head, paw and hoof being used as a pillow for the chimera's own head.

It took ten minutes before a woman came around the corner, short brown hair and bandages over her left eye and ear. Edwin lifted his head and gave a growl, the woman holding up her hand. "I am here to help, but I was instructed I couldn't get close until the creature was tamed. Master told me he was very wild." She took a few more steps closer, the growling just barely increasing in decibel, but the beasts muscles were tensing for an attack.

Niom sighed, "i want the book, but hurting the bookhurts me, see?" he tried to show images and use emotions to show the creature what he ment. "so i want the book back without there being any damage to it." he gave up and just lay there as his body healed itself. by the time the woman arrived, he was sitting up and leaning against the wall, able to breath properly again. he reached out a hand to touch the chimera when it growled at her, "it's ok. she is here to help. she wont hurt us." he said to it, wanting to make it stop growling and relax. "if you hurt her i wont forgive you." he warned, hoping that would work

Edwin took in the thoughts and descriptions, giving a soft purr before the woman stepped even closer, a sudden snarl escaping his fangs before Niom's soft words grabbed his attention. Help? Lion Niom helped him? The chimera lowered his head, circling Niom before laying next to the side furthest from the woman, continuing to gently growl.

"He is indeed quite feral. shall I cut your clothes off or are you able to remove them yourself? I had no spare clothes to offer so you will be wearing Master's until he buys you suitable ones." She explained, brandishing the pair of scissors, gently touching the blood-soaked robe. "We will have to wash it if you want it preserved."

Niom patted the chimera to show that he'd done a good job, but he shook his head at the woman, "don't cut them. i want them for when i leave this place." he sighed and with a groan sat up to remove the robes. he moved slowly, his body still sore, but he got them off, leaving on his underwear so he wouldn't be completely exposed. he blushed a little to be this naked in front of someone he didn't know and fought the urge to cover himself. the bite mark was still viable across his chest and back, but the wounds were healing. "i do not wish to bother you, if you would let them soak for a while, i will wash them myself, Miss-?" he asked, waiting for her name. he was certain she probably wasn't treated well and he was kind to everyone he met, expecially women.

"I've forgotten my name." She admitted, finding some anti-biotic cream and rubbing it on the wounds. "But you can keep them, I'll be sure to have them washed tonight and ready for you at a later date." She explained softly, glancing at the chimera who was looking like he was ready to jump at Niom to sniff the cream. "How did he manage to bring you here?"

Niom snorted, "how else? manipulation and lies. the fact that he knocked me out and i woke up here helped too." he shook his head, so she'd forgotten her name. "may i call you Anita? it is a pretty name and suits you. if you would rather i didn't i understand. my name is Niom." he winced a little at the cream's sting, but kept one hand on the chimera, pushing it away so it wouldn't scare her, sending the need for him to calm down.

The stoic lips twitched upwards ever so slightly when Niom explained how he got here. "It is his skill, he could not destroy villages and towns without it. Although his magic does aid him in creating things, such as the beast." She pointed out, moving tot he man's back to continue spreading the cream, watching Edwin cautiously. The beast took the opening to lean on his hind legs and stand up ever so slightly, sniffing at Niom's chest, tasting the cream before making a face and going back on all fours, tongue licking the roof of his own mouth to rid himself of the taste.

"And Anita is fine. I am one of the few without names because he have not been tempted into his bed. I have not been there because according to him, I have this look in my eye he despises." She explained softly, removing her hand. "Is there anything else that ails you?"

Niom looked away, "then you are one of the lucky ones i guess...in a way." he looked up at her and smiled, "just my wounded pride at being in this mess, but i doubt you have an ointment for that. sorry for the mess, but i've a feeling you are used to it, Miss Anita." he slowly forced himself to stand up and was glad when the motion didn't reopen any wounds. "is there a place i can wash up a little?"
