Tsume laughed as Kashi came screaming out of the crate, "too bad, i was looking forward to curling up with you in there. maybe we can try it on for size later." when Kashi voiced his worries, Tsume shook his head a little. "kashi, we are in the palace. i bet you being top that there are seamstresses who can whip you together the outfits you need before we leave." he held his hand out, "It's not a fair bet because i already know two people who could do it, though Leo's out of the question and Nix most likely is too."

Leo smiled, half real, half fake, "thank you, Elliot.you are very kind. but i think we should hurry." already the bear eared maid was peeking in to see if she could start packing their things or not.

Lewis nodded emphatically, "yes. yes, i have to wear pants. i have to be covered, pants are harder to get into. it's safer with pants." he nodded again before another fear came to mind, "what about the girls? what are we going to do? leave them alone here and vulnerable? we can't take them with us, but where can the go to be safe?"

Kashi shook his head. "If we leave today I would not be able to find anyone to create me some clothes, and look! I am wearing Prince Leo's clothes as well! This is a disgrace!" and sank back into the crate, shaking his head again before grabbing the hand. "We should try fetching me some clothes, I suppose. I must have something in there." And moved out of the crate.

Elliot looked at the made and gave a smile. "All right, let us go into town so my plan can work. I'm sure we can spare an hour." and shrugged on his own winter clothes before leading Leo out. "We shall be quick, I promise you will love it."

"You mustn't worry, Lewis. All I have right now is faith. If Megan can communicate with animals, I've no doubt she has tried to commune with the many in these forests, and if she did indeed see Father Winter, I have faith they will protect her. As for precaution, I will ask Leo to ask someone he knows to watch over them."

Tsume was two seconds from climbing in on top of Kashi when the hare emerged again. "alright then, let's go and find you something. if need be you can keep wearing Leo's clothes, they look good on you anyways. besides, it's the Retan bastards. i'd say wear clothing that calls them 'murdering *****' in every known language."

Leo smiled and took Elliot's hand, walking a little bit closer than normal, his hand holding the prince's tightly. "sorry if i'm hurting you, i just-i'm scared to be alone right now.

Lewis nodded, "good. good. the spirits will protect them. and Leo, leo will make sure they are ok. his little sister is with them, they will be safe."

Kashi nodded, leading him out. "Plus I wouldn't make a good top anyways. I think the Prime Minister is lying to make me feel better." he muttered, hoping Tsume wouldn't hear but knowing his luck, he did. He opened his bedroom door to find Ipo with a knife, cutting up the last of the suits. "What... What are you doing?!" he shouted, horrified.

"Simple, slut. You're not going to Reta." the doll said simply "Trust me," and ran the knife though another dress shirt, tossing it behind him "This is for your own good."

"You've nothing to apologize for." and held his hand just as tightly. "Trust me, I don't want to out of my set for a moment, not even three paces back, that's too far." and opened the door, the cold winter air greeting them. "I want you as close to me as possible. I do not want to lose you."

Tsume shook his head at Ipo, "pathetic. really and truly pathetic. just when i thought you couldn't be even more sad than you already are, you prove me wrong." he walked in and picked up one of the shirts, "so what is this? are you jealous or just angry because everyone knows you're a fake now?"

Leo nodded a little and just held on as they walked to town. it seemed like everyone there was watching him. were they spies? were they watching him, knowing how many of the strict rules literally beaten into his body he was breaking? he dropped his eyes and trusted Elliot to guide them, unable to look up anymore.

"Do not mock me, mongrel.' Ipo hissed angrily, eye narrowing. "I will allow Kashi to do plenty of things but the one thing he cannot do is go to Reta. They prey on the weak and he can easily be mistaken for an abused bentien, especially with that physique." he snapped. "If anyone is going to kill him in any way it shall be me, not the ignorant, whore-loving Retians."

"Tsume we should leave. Let him do as he likes."

Elliot saw Leo's paranoia and caution, but it was because they were prince and supposedly princess unaccompanied by bodyguards. They reached the shop and Elliot walked inside, the inside proving to be a jewelry store. "I received your letter today." he said with a smile.

The man practically beamed. "Yes! Of course! One moment!" and moved into a back room to fetch it.

"Is there any shop you'd like to go to in particular?" he asked, looking at the other curiously.

Tsume rolled his eyes, "You'll have to get past me, copy, and i don't see that happening any time soon." he shut the door and turned to face Kashi, smiling, "plan b, is it? Let's go get you some clothes. maybe we could run to town to buy some. what do you think?"

Leo looked around, but he didn't venture more than a step or two from Elloit the entire time. "these ones are pretty," he said softly, pointing to earrings that dangled down with silver hearts at the ends of the three chains. it had a matching necklace and bracelet, but he liked the earrings best of all. "what are we doing here, Elliot?"

"Th-That was sort of rude, slamming the door on him." Kashi murmured. "I-I don't have any money on me! Last I had money she came... and I don't recall where I put it." he admitted. "I'd hate to owe you money, Tsume."

"I'm getting a small gift." he said, looking at the earrings himself. "Those are rather lovely." and looked at the man walking out with a small box. "We'll take these as well."

"Yes sir, lovely choice." and took the earrings before wrapping them up in their own small box. "And the money you sent beforehand is more than enough to pay for these items." he explained.

"That is all right, you may keep the change. I'm not good with pricing things." and chuckled. "Thank you again." and turned to Leo, pocketing the box with the earrings. "You may choose to have this gift now, or after roasted almonds." he said with a smile, opening the door for the Falian before walking out after him.

Tsume thought back abut where Kashi's money could be. "maybe it's inside your vest pocket? wasn't that left in the kind's room or the bathroom." he was going to get Kashi clothes if that would make the man feel better. he knew Kashi was going no matter what so it was best to make him as comfortable as possible when they did go.

Leo studied Elliot cautiously, looking for the trick or trap in the offer. "If i open it now, i still get the almonds, right?" he wasn't going to let Elliot get out of that one. he'd go get the almonds himself if Elliot tried to say he'd only been teasing.

"I don't recall. And even if it was left somewhere it's probably back in my room." and looked at the doorway before shaking his head. "I can wear what I have now, I'm sure I'll have time to wash when I get there. it isn't that bad." and smiled somewhat up at the man. "I've been in worse situations."

Elliot laughed. "Yes, you still get the almonds if you take your gift first." he said, continuing to chuckle. "You can have all the almonds you want after your gift if you so wish."

Tsume shrugged, "you're choice my friend. but you can't get out of going. Leo and Elliot are going to need a lot of support during this trip." his smile was gone, completely serious now. "we need to be there for them or i don't think they will be able to make it."

Leo smiled and accepted the gift, "don't mind if i do! should i try and guess what it is?" he looked at the box and frowned, "hmmmmm, maybe a necklace? but the box is too small for that. maybe-" he stopped walking, his eyes slightly widened. "Elliot-?" he looked at his lover and then back down to the box. with slightly shaking hands heo opened it, finding a ring embedded in silk inside. "Elliot?" he whispered, his voice high. was this really what he thought it was?

"But I really don't want to go." he whined, weakly hitting and clawing at the larger man. The abuse stopped as Tsume pointed out the facts. Elliot and Leo to Reta, Reta which kidnapped and made Prince Leo's life hell. "I... I understand. But.. but can I wear more Falian clothing instead? J-Just in case there's a day I don't have time to wash my suit."

"You can guess but you're going to open it regardless." and led Leo to the middle of the street before stopping, watching in his peripheral as people pointed them both out and some actually stopping at distances to see what was happening. Good, this is just what the lynx wanted. "It is winter, no one will see your necklaces in such clothes, earrings are a much better choice. Your ears are utterly adorable to be and you know that." he said, soon smiling as Leo paused, the trembling hands opening it. The prince slowly moved to one knee, almost bowing before looking up at Leo, the crowd falling almost silent around them, "Leonard De Lumine, Filius Lunae, Stella Silva Ducis, heir to the royal throne of Falia, will you do me the greatest honor and become my wife?"

Tsume stopped and looked towards the city. "So he finally asked, huh?" he smiled to himself and pulled Kashi closer, "sure, you can wear as much of our clothes as you want!"

Leo felt his heart skip a beat when Elliot got on one knee. "What are you-" he forgot about everyone else. they didn't matter. all that mattered was the man kneeling in front of him. "El-Elliot..." suddenly the voices of those around came into clarity. "Elliot- you just, you just announced who i was to everyone..." but he'd done it on purpose. why? now everyone-but, had he really heard right. "Of course-" Leo dropped his eyes, hiding behind his bangs, "of course i will marry you, you idiot."

Kashi raised his ears, trying to hear whatever Tsume was hearing but lowered them, deciding it was another familiar thing. "Wh-Who asked what, Tsume?" but was suddenly up against the man. "All right. I guess... we should prepare everything else, then."

The prince stood, taking the box with the ring and sliding it onto the ring finger of Leo's left hand. "Perfect fit. I should really thank your sister.' he murmured, kissing the ring before kissing Leo, hearing the happy cheers of excitement around them. "If you had said no I wouldn't have bought you almonds." he teased, kissing him again. "But yes, now we get you your roasted almonds. Excuse us." and held Leo's hand, moving slowly through the thick crowd. now he could see why this was sort of a bad idea, but he was happy because Leo said yes. There was a stupid grin on his face and nothing could get it off.

Tsume nodded, "Right. what all do we need to get ready? i imagine the king will be wanting to go today so we should hurry. just tell me what to do, Kash."

Leo was blushing as the cheers followed them down the street. The tale of the proposal would be across the city before htey finished buying the almonds and across the country come morning, he was certain. "You'd better buy me a big bad of them, mister." but he held Elliot's hand tightly, the weight on his finger feeling oddly right, as if it had always been there and until now he hadn't noticed that it was missing. "I-you proposed like that to protect me, didn't you? Thank you. Thank you, Elliot. with my full name and homeland announced, we might even be able to make my true gender known someday."
