Ep.3 "Betrothed! Ven's True Identity Revealed!"

Chip froze "wh-what?!?!" He pondered it "how a-are you?......about this?"

"How I feel...does not matter...I must do what is right in order to protect and care for the people I cherish. This Kingdom will fall if I do not. A true Queen is willing to sacrifice her happiness for her people." her voice shook and she fell to her knees, resting her head on the ledge."I am trying to think of nothing but that...yet my heart feels so broken..."

"yes it does!" Chip yelled but didnt mean too "your the Princess!....and caring for these people when you fought the Bokblins........" He relized that he was screaming "i-im so sorry princess....i care for you alot and imwant your happiness not a kingdom.......we can last i have and look at me" Chip felt that hee should leave but picked up Alyisan and hugged her.

ALysian buried her face in his chest and sobbed,"It's the only way...and the decision is final..."

Chip held Alyisan "its ok im here......i swear ill fight for your happiness Princess your my best friend" He rubbed her back " you name it ill do it"

Working her self deeper in to an emotional cave-in, she backed up a bit and grabbed his hand, the puzzle pieces linking. She stared at the golden trinkets, sadly,"There is nothing you can do...Just...Stand beside me at my wedding...please?

Chip looked "y-yeah....." He gave Alyisan a happy grin "i'd love too......" 'i'd love it more standing next to her for another reason tho....but this is fine'

She knew that she'd never truly be able to go through with it with him there, but she would try. She wiped her eyes and and took his hand,"Let's go somewhere.."

Unknown to either of the pair, Demetri had been listening at the door. He had not heard about the engagement yet, but had heard his sister cry. When he heard Chip's voice he had rushed to the door, thinking that he'd hurt Alysian in some way. What he heard in their conversation shocked him and his fists clenched, becoming white at the knuckle. He turned on his heel, flipping his ebony locks over his shoulder, intent on getting answers.

Chip nodded "where do you wanna go?" He rubbed Alyisan's and with his thumb.

"Somewhere that I can smell flowers, not cinders..."she stood on the ledge and easily stepped on to her trusty branch, pulling CHip with her, and proceed bounding from limb to limb.

Demetri stormed in to the throne room and straight up to the pair of royals."WHat is the meaning of this nonsense?! Your trading yoru daughter's happiness for money?"

"Demetri do not use such a tone in front of your mother."the king said sternly."We are not happy about this either, but we have nothing else to do."

The queen covered her face with her hands, weeping again.

Demetri paced back and forth, hand on his sword."This is absolute rubbish..."

Chip picked up Alyisan and jumped the rest of the way down "shhhh....." they were out side the throne room window.

Alysian blushed, her arms around Chip's neck. She nodded and listened carefully.

"Believe me, son, if there was any other option she would not have to go through with this."the Queen wept.

The King took her hand and sighed," She knows what she must do, and will follow through."

Demetri growled,"She doesn't even know this man! The last time the royal family of Ellenmera visited, was her coming of age ball when she was 13."

"Yes, that is true, but they did dance." the king interjected.

"She danced with everyone, father."

"hey you didnt dance with me" Chip teased Alyisan on a cout the Elder forbade Chip to go. "hmph.......and i thought we were best friends" He continue too tease Her.

She pouted and poked his nose,"I would have if you were there..."

"Listen, Alaster is a wonderful fighter, has worldly knowledge, and capable fo great things. Alysian will be happy with him...eventually."the king continued.

"Whatever...Don't expect me to be at the wedding.."Demetri stormed out in a trail of black flashes.

"Demetri! the nerve of that boy...what's gotten in to him Cordella?"

"If only I knew Reginald...He's been acting so strange lately.."

Alysian's lip trembled."It's bad enough I ave to marry someone I don't love...now my own brother won't be there..."

"hey dont worry ill talk to him......lets go" Chip picked up Alyisan and they ran after Demetri "HEY wait up!" He called out to Demi.
