[PRP] Um...Are we trapped? (AkelaxRox)

"Y-yes, we'll just go over to the, uh, the island. And, ah.. And explore! Or.. o-or, you know.. Exploring an-and.. er, things like that. Those things. Yes." He rambled on and on, not thinking to stop and look back to see if Akela was actually following. Rox' continued forward, thoughts thrashing about in his head furiously. Why did she do that? What had he done? Why did he do that? Why hadn't he just hadn't taken a moment to look at the situation? Blush still heavy over his face, and feeling.. well, awfully hot, he came to a slow stop in his tracks. He stood there for a second, trying to wrap his mind around what had just happened.

He couldn't.

Rox' gave a shake of his head, trying to clear his head. Ugh. It wasn't working all that well. Giving up, he turned his full attention to Akela - finally - and looked over to her, realizing that he had sort of just.. left her in the dust. Not sure how to approach her after... er, after all of that, he tentatively padded towards her. "Ah.. A-akela?" He stuttered a little. Nervously? Anxiously?.. Something like that. Ugh, this was lovely. Ears flicking back, he reached over to give her a light nudge on the cheek with his muzzle. "The two of us, we're.. uh, s-still going to the island, right?..."

Keeping her head down she followed at a much slower pace. Akela was able to follow in the right direction without looking up thanks to the sand. It had taken the outline of his foot leaving prints clearly in the sand for her to be able to find him. Though at the moment she was in no rush. She could see her self getting blamed or snapped at again like the first time and it just wasn't something she wanted. They had worked on some of that with him but there was still things to work on. A life time of others wrong to be fixed and made up and show him that not everyone is like that. That most of all she wasn't.

She felt a nose nudge her cheek before she heard him. She stood there listening to him for a moment. He was stumbling over her name and his sentence. The island...yeah they had started off wanting to take a look around it. Now all she really wanted to do was lay down some where but she didn't say that. "Yeah we'll still go and look around" she said with out even looking up and waited for him to continue on for her to follow after him.

Rox' looked over Akela as she replied, noticing now that she.. looked miserable. Oh. This was wonderful. Letting out a sigh, he gave a motion of his head, gesturing her to come along beside him. He kept quiet while walking, not sure what to say or do. What on earth were you supposed to say after.. after that?

The blush still over his cheeks, though a little faded now, he let out a fake little cough. Ugh, this was so awkward. Rox' hated this. Rox' absolutely hated this. They had been having fun earlier and they had actually been talking with each other. And now look! They were barely interacting now.

...Finally, he decided to speak up. "..Sorry for, er.. freaking out, you know, a little while ago." Completely unsure of what to say next, he turned his head away from her, pretending to look at something rather interesting nearby as they walked. "...You surprised me, 's all." He mumbled, keeping his eyes on that very, very, very interesting non-existent thing.

Akela was lost in her own head. She couldn't figure out how to make this all work out right. She knew it could some how she just didn't know how. Glancing side ways she could see him looking at something in the distance. Hard work they did to get him more open just broke and fell around em.


She took a deep breath before replying back "Its my fault I guess forget it......didn't mean to surprise you didn't even know that was going to happen to myself." she trailed off not finishing saying what was going on in her head.

Blinking in confusion at her reply, he turned to look at her, head cocked to the side just a bit. What the hell was she talking about? Her fault?.. Wasn't it his fault? "..No, 's not your fault." Confused, Roxanne eyed her over, quiet for a moment or two after he had spoken.

Gah. This. made. no. sense. Slowing his steps down, he gave a shake of his head, disagreeing with what she had said. "Even if it were your fault, I wouldn't have the heart to blame you." He frowned, nose scrunching as he tried to think of something else to say. "It's no one's fault. Not yours, not mine. It just.." Rox' trailed off, trying to come up with more. He gave a shrug of his shoulders, the frown still on his face. "It just happened. I couldn't help leaping away and you couldn't help.. er, doing... that."

Damn it all, this was so awkward.

"I honestly didnt do more than make a few sounds and shift my position which spooked you and made you run away from me so yeah there for my fault. "She pointed out to him stopping as well seeing as he stopped. "I could have bit my lip or something and kept it to my self and in general those are good sounds its means your doing something right or pleasing." She said leaving it at that. Before standing up again and continuing forward.

Well.. Rox' snapped.

He didn't get it. He just didn't get it. Why was she blaming herself? It wasn't her fault! So why on earth was she doing it? It simply didn't make any sense to him! "You're so.. you... you're.. Rrgh!" Sucking in a quick breath and resisting the urge to just stop her, pin her down, and yell at her, he tried to calm himself down.

Great! It.. It didn't work. Oh hell.

Giving a huff, Rox' moved quickly to cut her off in her tracks. Blocking her way, he shot a glare right at her. "You listen here. You are so.. You... You're.." He tried to come up with a proper word to use to describe her and how silly her behavior was, but failed... Horribly. "You're so ridiculous sometimes, you know that?! It's not your fault, Akela! It's not! It really isn't!" Letting out another sharp huff, he stared at her, a scowl now forming on his muzzle. "It's not your fault. Get it? Now can we please go to this damn island and just forget about it? We were having fun earlier! Now? Now we're not. I'd rather forget about this and go enjoy the day with my girlfriend, instead of just standing here and arguing over this stupid crap all day."

Akela stumbled into Rox when he suddenly stepped in front of her. He was mad she could tell it made her eyes widen. He wasn't flipping out like he had their first time but he was mad enough to stumble over his words.

Her ears twitched at 'girlfriend'. Akela's face brightened. "Aww your called me your girlfriend,"Her voice high and happy. "Thats so sweet and cute." she gushed than gave him a kiss. Her tail wagging behind her, eyes bright. "Island sure yeah whatever you say." She was on cloud nine now he called her his girlfriend. She was as happy as can be.

Rox' just stared at Akela as she suddenly brightened up. He was.. confused. Immensely. One of his brows began to raise when she pecked him on the cheek, but all he really did was... stare. Confused. Extremely confused. Good lord, he was still so very confused. Yes, he had called her his girlfriend, but.. but so what? What did that have to do with anything? Ugh, females were confusing. Life was confusing. Hell, at this point, just about everything was confusing.

"..A-alright then?" He said in a cautious tone, not exactly sure if she was messing around with him or not. Was her sudden change in mood just an act or what?... Ugh. Damn it all, forget it. Letting out a soft sigh in defeat, Rox' gestured with a paw for her to go first. "Lead the way."

Akela smiled at him bumping her head against his and she rubbed her cheek against him. To reassure him things where better now. She than spun on a dime and headed for the island letting her tail graze his cheek.

She bounced along, hoping over logs and rocks. She moved gracefully threw the woods with easy like there wasn't anything there. She glanced back to see if he was coming.

Quirking a brow as her tail grazed his cheek, Rox' followed Akela with his eyes. Girls were.. they were... weird. Very weird. Weird to the point of being confusing. Utterly fun to be with one moment, confusing and mind boggling the next.

Giving a slight shake of his head, as he moved to follow her. Lazily shifting his gaze to look around as they moved, he noted the abundance of tropical plants around them. "Almost a tropical jungle out here." He commented simply, humming softly under his breath as they trotted along. "Really green.."

Akela giggled hearing is really green comment. "I would hope its green. I'd be worried if it was a different color though with us being more south we are in the tropics so we should some bright colors though it will all still be mostly green," She pointed turning to gaze back at him, her tail wagging behind her.


"I think we've made it to the middle of this island. What do you think?" she asked sitting down for a quick scratch.

"Are we really?" Rox' gave a look around as they came to a stop, taking in the scenery. They were really in the middle of the island already? Everything looked the same, it was hard to tell. Huh. "It's.. interesting."

Turning his attention to Akela for a short moment, he suddenly realized that it was around late noon. They.. hadn't eaten anything yet. Well, that wasn't good. No, not at all. This was a date, wasn't it? They were supposed to eat and relax a little. "Ah.. It's around time for lunch, isn't it?" Giving a flick of his tail, he kept an eye out for anything that might look good in the area. "Do you think we should find something to eat?" Rox' asked, tilting his head to the side as he looked back to Akela.

"I believe we are,"Akela said looking around. She scanned the area and she was pretty sure. "Yeah I really think we are." she said giving a nod to confirm it.

She glanced at the sky and to see where the sun was. It was two quarters past the middle of the sky. "Lunch would be good. I can't believe it's so late. Time fly's huh?" She said with a little laugh. "Yeah I think we should and since this place seems to be more tropic I think we will have a good bet of finding lots of fruit. Though we could always go fishing and see if we get anything."

"Time did pass by pretty quickly.." With a nod of his head in agreement, Rox' smiled. "Lunch it is then." Let's see... fish? Or fruit? Hm. Giving a lick at his lips, he tried to decide on what they would be having. Fruit.. sounded good. Very good! It wasn't that often that you were able to go out and find fruit - good, sweet, fresh fruit - like the ones they were sure to find around this island.

Slowly stretching, he let out a short little yawn. "I think something sweet for lunch would be good." Satisfied with the small pops and cracks his joints made, he brought himself up to face her properly once again, giving a few wags of his tail. "Mm-hm. If the fruit isn't enough, we could easily just change our minds and go fishing later. The ocean is close by, so that wouldn't be a problem at all."
