As Callie entered through the doors into the Main Entry Hall, she pushed her hood off her head and looked around. Everything was so bright and polished. A few people were coming in and moving around within the hall. She watched others as they moved and then moved out of the way and stood next to a statue, trying to figure out what to do.

Mariam kept the smile on her face, making it seem very natural as she walked into the main hallway looking around.'I should get myself settled in before I go to my classes.'the kitsune thought, while heading down another hallway connected to the large entrance hallway."Remember to smile...remember to smile"she whispered to herself repeatedly as she continued to walk towards the dormitories, still holding the appearance of a happy go lucky teen.

She looked around, at all the other people who seemed to know were to go. Surely she thought I can't be the only one who just appeared here. She walked up to the foot of the staircase and looked up and both ways.

Came down the staircase rather quickly, hopping in a rhythm as she made her way to the Academy's Cafeteria for some food.Humming softly, Leaona kept her eyes on the stairs to keep from falling, until of course she stepped off the stairs and quickly paced over to the exit, not sure if she was going the correct way, but she'd find out eventually as to where everything was located.

Imogen let out a long, low whistle as she stepped through the doorway he held into an enormous entrance hall made almost entirely of white-blue marble. A large staircase commanded the center of it, branching off into two additional staircases at the top, presumably leading to floors higher than she could see. The landing where they had entered was lined with paneled wooden doors, all identical, separated by classical columns which were in turn separated by life-sized classical figure sculptures. A magnificent red carpet paved the way from what must have been the main entrance, all the way to the back of the room where there were two doorways, each mysteriously draped over with matching crimson curtains. Sunlight flooded the hall, streaming in through the massive skylight above.
"This place is incredible." She said, staring up at the towering ceiling and spinning slowly as she walked, taking it all in. "The designers really pulled no punches on the theatrics here, huh?"

She ran her fingers along one of the statues, leaving a stark line in the dust that was caked over it. "Ugh... But uh, yeah, no, I wouldn't say forgotten but definitely...distant. I'd love to get more reconnected to it. I've been trying, but it's a process. There's a lot to learn." She wiped her finger off on her jeans and turned to face him properly.
"But Egypt, wow, that's so beautiful. And a festival troupe? Like a travelling carnival or... something like that? I can't imagine... sounds like you've been living my dream life." She laughed awkwardly. "I've only ever lived in the one town. Always fantasized that someone would magically show up and whisk me away to literally anywhere else. What was it like? Growing up nomadic like that?"

"The designers really pulled no punches on the theatrics here, huh?"

Micah looks around taking in the grandness of the Entrance Hall, and whistles causing an echo within the room. "You're not kidding about those theatrics."

He listens to Imogen intently.

Micah shrugs with his hands raising to his shoulders. "I'm not sure how different it actually is from settled families. I was expected to complete my chores abide by the family routines and get home by curfew..." His lips scrunch up as he gazes off in the distance thinking. "...although the chores were only actually enforced when we packing up to leave or setting up. Also curfew only meant that baba and mama had to be around where ever I was and they usually stayed out later than me." Micah shakes his head to refocus on the conversation. "Well I guess you got your wish then. He smiles and gestures to the grandiose hall. "This is one of the most magica- *cough* *cough* Micah bends over with his hands on his legs and his eyes a bit watery, as he recovers from his minor coughing fit. "This place may be magical but it sure is dusty. I guess I breathed in too deep," He says bashfully. "It feels silly to look for an office at this point, since clearly nobody has been here for sometime. I guess um...what do you feel like doing now that you've been whisked away from your hometown?"

Imogen eyed Micah with some concern as the doubled over in a serious coughing fit. She almost reached out to pat his back, but he recovered himself fairly quickly and seemed to want to change the subject, so she returned her hand to its pocket and instead looked up at the towering ceiling and mysterious staircases above them. She felt a small rush of excitement at the slight vertigo that washed over her and looked back at Micah with a glint in her eye.
"...Wanna go on an adventure?"

In a daze, Micah has leaned so far forward that his body finally looses balance. Fallen to his hands and knees, he feels the aching of hunger and weakened muscles. He looks up to see Imogen staring off into the distance, eyes completely glazed over. All around the moving staircase they were riding up, the Geometry has become tightly knitted together like a web.

Micah desperately pushes his body to stand. It is slow going, as his entire body begins to prickle from it still being asleep. Finally he stands face-to-face with Imogen. He shakes her by the shoulders "Imogen, wake up! We've been hexed." A low rumble can be heard high above them. Movement in the far off shadows can just barely be made out. "Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up!"

"Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up!"

Imogen heard a quiet voice clawing into a crescendo, like a hand reaching through a dream.
"Wake up!"
Her heart skittered as she woke with a jolt to Micah's wide, panicked eyes inches from hers. She whips her gaze around and in a dizzying moment of vertigo sees the ground much further away than she remembered.
"Holy s**t," she muttered, grabbing Micah's bicep hard to re-steady herself. "How the ******** did we get so high...?"
She heard a sound like an earthquake overhead and skittering like autumn leaves on concrete all around. The surrounding shadows seemed to writhe with life.
"Hexed..." she said slowly, finally processing what he'd said. "Oh <******** s**t jesus, how??? There was no one here I was sure of it-" The staircase was still rising, carrying them closer to the sounds & the ever-quickening shadows.
"Hexed how? What's happening? Can you tell what kind of spell it is?"

"Good question, uuhh" Micah concentrates and takes another look at the Geometry around the staircase. "The Geometry around the stairs is tightly layered and moving very slowly around us." Feeling more surefooted, he lets go of Imogen and walks to the edge of the stairs to get a better look. "It looks similar to a cocoon...I...I think it's a kind of binding spell."

The skittering is so loud, but Micah takes a quick moment to think as he seems to concentrate on the East and West sides of the stairs. He looks to Imogen. "I think you can 'unwind' the Geometry if you can spin two of your figurines very fast, here and here." He slaps mid air on the East and West sides of the Stairs, the magical barrier becomes momentarily visible. "It's the only thing I can think of that can break it faster than whatever is coming."

"You got it." She'd whipped out her notebook before finishing the sentence and, heart pounding, scribbled out two little spinning tops, vaguely shaped like dancers, and flung them off the page in opposite directions. Concentrating hard with her arms outstretched, they began to spin; slowly at first, then gathering speed until they were whirling fast enough to emit a quiet, high-pitched, whine.
A muddled sound, somewhere between a rush of wind and a bestial howl, emanated from the walls as the skittering ground to a halt. The figurines were flung from their points as if hitting a barrier and shattered to pieces. Imogen winced and dropped to her knees, slapping her hand over her mouth and listening hard...
Silence.

Concentrating hard with her arms outstretched, they began to spin; slowly at first, then gathering speed until they were whirling fast enough to emit a quiet, high-pitched, whine.

"GEOMETRY SIGHT"
The magical barrier is a sphere of tightly layered horizontal circles that slowly move downward, right below the staircase they are standing upon. Just outside of the sphere decagons spiral upward, directing the staircase's movement towards the doom that awaits them. Imogen's outstretched arms have three vertical circles spinning around them; one at the wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Her figurine's auras form six-pointed stars with dots in the center. When Imogen begins to concentrate the outer circles contract slowly towards the ones at the elbow, as the figurine's auras respond by spinning very fast, slowly rotating through the magical barrier. The magical barrier's central circles bend into ellipses from the strain. The tight layers begin to loosen, until finally it snaps, snapping the circles back up towards their origins.

Micah, dizzy from the sight, falls onto his back. All he hears is the pulse in his ears. As the room stops spinning he sees the creature a half a dozen meters above them. "نيكجـُهـَنّـَم!!!" Thick vines with spiny leaves are wrapped all along the walls, not moving. They gather into the knotted mess above with a massive flower at the center. It's spiky petals are still squeezing shut, hiding whatever lies within. Micah looks over to the crouching Imogen and points at the terror above. "I have no idea what that is, but I think you've stunned it." He rolls over to start getting up. "Let's get out of here while we can!"
