The pursuit of knowledge is agonizing

Ney was not happy with the arrangement, but he kept silent and followed her wishes. He had a crestfallen look upon his face as she walked away with Arkeus. "Aye. An elf. And if that is so, then I would like to try an learn the language of your people. The similarity would probably speed up the process, wouldn't you think? Also, I think the feeling would be mutual." He said, spirits slowly lifting. At least it wasn't a total loss to him. He would get to explore one of the places that intrigued him most. His face lifted and his stood straighter. "If you get a knight, who is to say you must participate with their 'politics'? If you wish to have one, be it for your own protection or for mere wanting, there is nothing stopping you from choosing one. Of course, I may be severely mistaken. I have only just recently become a night, so there is much I do not know. Either way, I do not blame you for not wanting to participate. It really would take a god to put up with it." He flashed a smile. When the first drop of rain fell near him, his eyes riveted to Hymem to see what would happen to a god in his natural element. Ney did not worry about getting wet though. His clothes protected him from rain. Though his hair was not as lucky. It was plastered all over his face and neck in seconds. But he paid no mind. He was becoming infatuated with the rippling of Hymem's skin. He felt no fear from it, only wonder, not unlike a small child seeing an unusual animal for the first time. He wanted to reach out and touch him, but resisted. It would have been rude. He barely heard his comment about love of the rain. "It truly is a glorious thing, the rain. Is it you I have to thank for it?" Ney said in reply.
