ENDLESS JOURNEYS (O/A)

With her hood still concealing her face she pulls her blade and carefully wipes her blade as if she was clearing blood off. Instead it was tomato sauce on the blade which looked like blood from where they were standing.

She heard Kerana's question and with one foot gently on Alec's shoulder she lifted her hood. There were gasps.

Crowd

"Get her it's Trinity!"
"Wait did she just save that girl?"
"But what about the wanted posters? It said that she did those horrible things."
"She killed the beast...I'm not certain of those posters... or of that rumor that she brought this beast in with her."

((feel free to add something to the crowd wink ))

Nova remained silent but he wondered how he should step in, if in some way, their little plan didn't work out. Though he had already plenty of tricks in mind, he could not help but think how easy it was to make that plan fail.

Maybe we should skin him and make an example of him!
I could use his head in my bar! Would be a great trophy

Nova barely suppressed a grin. This is what he was talking about. It's not everyday that someone kills a werewolf. Nor is it harder to find the body of one. Prices are high on those beasts. He waited to see if the rest of the crowd would go along with these individuals who said this.

Alec's heart begins to beat at a rapid pace. He wasn't about to allow himself to be skinned or beheaded. He makes a quick decision, hoing that these folks will believe anything.

His throws his body into violent convulsions, contentrating on his transformation while doing so. Sickening crunches and gut churning scraping sounds erupt from his body as he thrashes about. The transformation subsides, and he looks like a normal young man.

He had thrown his shift into overdrive, forcing his ears to appear human and his tail to retract. He groans and slowly opens his eyes. He blinks and raises himself to his feet slowly. He looks down at his hands and cries (the tears being the result of such a quick and drastic transformation). He raises his hands to the sky and cries out, "I'm cured! Praise the gods, this woman's holy weapon has banished the beast from my body."

He throws himself weakly against her and weeps, "Thank you, it was so awful. Thank you thank you thank you!"

Trinity had prepared an explanation that the body was cursed and it would only spread the 'werewolf disease' if they were to keep any part of him. However since this wasn't brought up in the planning she stepped back as he transformed back to his human shape. He didn't have any clothes on him and it all seem sudden and unexpected.

A woman in the crowd covers her child's eyes as he got up.

It seemed a little awkward at first but she held him close, "Welcome back. I was glad I could help." She takes off her trench cloak then wraps it around him to provide some decency.

The wolfboy got Nova's curiosity. The boy didn't use any magic for as far as Nova could detect. Nor would he be able to transform so freely if he were a pure born Werewolf. Perhaps a Ritual that was a deviation of Nature Magic?

Nova clapped his hands together a few times to rouse the crowd to do the same. What started out as a bit of cheer turned into a standing ovation. The crowd applauded Trinity for protecting the foxgirl and for lifting the curse on the boy. Funny how these small things can change someone's mind. Now if this would go the way he wanted it then a person should-

Convinced Man

"Those posters must be a lie! A murdered wouldn't fight beasts and save people!"

Now Nova was in fact grinning. He loved it when things played out the way he wanted to.

Trinity could not believe her senses. She heard the crowd cheer and begin to question the wanted posters. For a second her eyes blurred a tear crawled down her cheek. She had been wanting to put an end to all of this and not worry about hiding her face. She whipped the next tear preventing it from falling. Perhaps it is the beginning of the end.

Maybe a little extra push would do it.

"Wonder if she has a place to stay. Hell I'd pay for her room if she doesn't have one. A hero needs a good bed no?" Nova said to himself. However, it was his intention that other people would hear it and respond to it.

But after he had said it he realized that he could also go about it in a different way. People had already picked up what he said and discussed this fact amongst each other. While they were busy Nova took this opportunity to break free from the crowd and gently push Kerena along with him.

"Don't you have to thank your savior properly miss fox?"Nova said with a kind voice as they were walking away from the group towards Trinity. From outsides perspective it would seem that he was merely helping that poor shy foxgirl to thank her savior. In away they were right. This was still an act and needed to be kept up.

"Forgive my...intrusion but we need to talk Trinity. Yes I am using Telepathy so don't talk back just nod. Don't worry...I am on your side" Nova said to Trinity's mind. Nova however, still had his hood on.

Alec's eyes widen as far as he can possibly manage. He had dreamed of this moment for a long time, and now here it is. Except that he wasn't expecting this.to.happen while he was half naked. His face turns beet red and he can only manage unintelligible sounds as opposed to words.

Trinity rubbed her head as she heard the voice. She watches as Kerana finished her act. Her eyes followed where Kerana's went and she too was looking at the mysterious figure. "May I help you sir?"  

[Nova Blancke]

"It is the other way around actually miss Trinity. It is I, who might help you. The cogs of fate have already began to fall into place but this is not the place to talk about this sort of thing. Too many ears and too many mouths who could pass it on. Do you have or know of a place where we might talk in private?" Nova calmly said in a mysterious manner of speech. He might have been wearing a hood but it was absolutely impossible to see his face. Perhaps he had used magic to hide it.

Trinity felt uneased about this. She recognize he spoke with the same voice that was in her head moments ago. Her eyes scanned him but could not make out a face nor anything else about him. She looked for a metal arm but could not see the man's hands. "You seem to talk as if you know me or at least my fate. Yet I haven't a clue who you are. Tell me why should I trust you?"  

[Nova Blancke]

"I have roused these people to support you. It is amazing what a simple sentence could do to a person. I have not destroyed this play you had going on. I have not provoked these people into attacking you. I have not informed the University that two of their students are traveling with a so called murderer." Nova said and let the words sink in.

"I have simply chose to come here to turn a prophesy into reality, Paladin."
