Alec was at a dangerous crossroad. He knew whatever he did, this girl would not let this situation go his way. He really only had two choices. He could threaten her or try to chase her down and play her 'games' again. Though really both didn't seem like good options. She probably wouldn't give it to him if he asked nicely. So maybe... He turned away, "Do what you want" Alec told her with a sigh, "It's not like it's actually poison anyway" Nor did she know his name so in the end it couldn't come back to bite him.

..Wait, what? He just.. turned away like that? Catrina creased her brow at him and glanced between the little bag and the man's back as if she were sharing a look with the inanimate object. This was confusing.. With how panicked he was earlier, she had thought he would be more eager to get it back! It seemed important, but now he was just giving up? That was boring! What happened to the man who chased her all across town for a silly bag?! She pursed her lips as, suddenly, the bag didn't seem as fun to have anymore. She didn't know what it was anyway and it wasn't like she could do anything with it now that he didn't care.. She approached him with a frown, standing just a few inches behind him as she leaned from side to side to try to get a glimpse of his face, “Really? You don't want it? It's pretty unique! I don't think you could find some more of it easily!” She offered in an attempt to entice him again. Really, she shouldn't need to convince the man to want his stuff more!

Alec grinned, knowing he was hiding his face fairly well. This was just what he wanted. "You think so?" He said apathetically, "Something like that is something I come across on a daily basis in my kind of work." He then got ready for his plan to unfold. It really was easy for him to get it back now. A person who spends a lot of his days pick-pocketing has no problem taking something from a confused mark. Especially one that is so eager to keep up with him, "And if anything I can always make some more myself." When he said this he turned around and walked past her, gently lifting the bag from her hand is he walked by. Too easy.

If he could find it easy in his work, then that made it medicine, right? That was all Catrina could think it was, but she didn't know what kind.. As far as she knew, doctors and their medicine was expensive! It was why her group were more inclined to just wait out an illness or injury and hope it to get better on it's own rather than going to see some doctor, but if this was common.. Then that made doctors just a big ripoff! Ah! She should just steal medicine from now on instead of pay those outrageous prices for easy stuff! That had been Catrina's conclusion as she listened to the man, disappointment drooping her tail and ears as she realized she didn't have the means to persuade the man into another game..

..Probably because she didn't have anything! Her brows rose as she noticed just a second too late that the bag was now in the man's hands. His sudden turn had come off too casual for her to suspect it and her mind was more focused on her thoughts than what he was doing, so before she could react, she had been tricked~! She narrowed her eyes and slowly closed her now-empty hand. She turned on her heel and hurried after him, keeping up just as she had before. Oh, no, she wasn't going to run off crying because she had 'lost' – because the game was still on! She walked beside him this time, her eyes on the little bag he had in hand intently as she spoke, “Now, why would you want something as boring as that, huh?” Her question came off distracted as she made a grab for the little bag. She had gotten it fair and square, hadn't she?! Besides, he didn't even want it! ..Neither did Catrina, but, that wasn't the important part!

Alec sighed when he noticed the girl coming back. She still wanted to play this game? He just wanted to sleep now. And although he usually liked the company of women, he did not like the company of this annoying feline. When the girl made a quick grab for the bag back he caught her forearm and pushed it back to the girl. "Because whats mine is mine, and not yours" Alec told her, putting a lot of emphasis on 'yours'. Though he knew she had no interest in the bag, he had no idea what her interest was. He could only keep her from stealing anything further, and hoped that she would leave soon.

Damn it! Missed! Catrina pursed her lips as he moved his hand out of her reach, ending up grasping air instead of her 'prize'. She was somewhat frustrated – but, at the same time~ It was kind of fun trying to catch it! Like if she was hunting, but without the serious question of whether they would be eating that night or not! Once that was taken away, the fun in it shined through much better~ She moved around to his other side and grabbed the arm holding the object with one hand, using the other to try to take it that way. “But it was mine a minute ago~! You were gonna leave it with me.” She pointed out, somehow managing to keep up with the conversation even with the majority of her head on catching the medicine. Ah, yes, the law of the universe – finder's keepers! It worked out on the field and it certainly had to work in the city, right? Especially if it was just garbage anyway.

Alec began to get agitated, this was like a child's game. A child's game that he wasn't ever going to get out of. I mean he was a doctor! A doctor who could be helping people-or selling illicit substances-. But no! He was here stuck playing a child's game with this mix. This girl truly inherited the persistence of the best Felidae hunters. And Alec was getting tired of it. When she took his arm Alec stopped, tossing the bag from that hand to his other hand. "Yeah but it was mine before that!" He snapped back at her. Childish yes. But if he was going to win, he would have to stoop to her level.
